The problem of raw materials is the most fundamental issue for a manufacturing company, because the raw material is something that is very important for a production process. Sugarcane is one of the plantation crops which is used as raw material for making sugar. The efficiency of inventory is very important for a sugar factory. The purpose of this study is to determine the order level, order frequency, the amount of safety stock (Safety Stock), re-order points (sugarcane raw material) which is economical and to know the total inventory cost (Total Inventory Cost) of sugarcane raw material economical in PG X. The method of determining the area of this research was carried out intentionally (purposive). The research method uses the descriptive-analytic method. The analytical tool used is Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Re-Order Points (ROP), Safety Stock (SS), and Total Inventory Cost (TIC). The results of the 2018 and 2019 EOQ calculations show it is not yet economical. The purpose of this research is to know the efficiency of raw material inventory using MRP method compared with company method. Data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Through interview, observation and documentation of data obtained is data of company sales 2017, inventory cost, ordering cost, Bill Of Material (BOM), lead time, raw material costs, process production and material costs which is processed with method Material Requirement Planning (MRP). Then Lot Sizing technique used is the Lot For Lot Method (LFL), and Method Part Period Balancing (PPB). From the results of the study showed that by using the method of Period Balancing (PPB), the company only issued for the total cost of raw material inventory of Rp. Rp.3.169.788 if using Lot For Lot (LFL) method Rp. Rp.5.040.000 which means the company get the cost efficiency of raw material inventory.

Abstrak: PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan pembuatan kemasan jerigen plastik, bahan baku yang digunakan untuk memproduksi jerigen yaitu HDPE Titanvene, PP Cosmoplene, LDPE Cosmothene, dan Pewarna. This study aims to determine the cost efficiency for controlling the supply of raw materials and auxiliary materials for thermal bag production at PT Gabag Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach, therefore the data processing techniques process this analysis using the EOQ or Economic Order Quantity method. To obtain economical inventory results, this study also calculates and analyzes ordering costs, storage costs, safety stock, maximum inventory, reorder point, and comparison of total inventory costs resulting from EOQ calculations and the results of company calculations. The results of this study indicate that the calculation of EOQ can provide a basis for the calculation of cost efficiency and inventory control at PT Gabag Indonesia for eva material, snooker, and puller goods. Raw material control is a critical factor in a company to fulfill the production requirement and cost. This research aims to identify company function in keeping the relationship among suppliers and also to formulate efficient raw material management. The company cooperates with several suppliers as "partners" that integrated and classified on raw material procurement. The classification of raw materials in 2016 and 2017 using the ABC method showed that the raw materials categorize as class A (have a large useful value). The forecasting error of raw materials was compared with quadratic, linear, moving average, and double exponential smoothing methods. There were four types of raw materials that have a smaller forecast than a company method for the year 2016 and one type for raw material in 2017. There was one material that has an optimal Q negative because of its negative function. The total costs incurred were mostly lower if using company methods, and so it could be concluded that the company fulfilled the efficiency level. The buffer stock calculation could be used as a guide for companies to handle weekly raw material requirements in order to avoid out of stock.

Abstrak Persoalan utama yang hendak diurai dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai persediaan bahan baku (kayu jati) di CV. Karya Putra Persada, Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur, yang bergerak dalam bidang produksi mebel. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menganalisis data perusahaan sejak tahun 2015-2017. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock (SS), dan Reorder Point (ROP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah pembelian bahan baku yang paling optimal menurut perhitungan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) pada tahun 2015-2017 adalah 86 papan, 110 papan, dan 106 papan. Frekuensi pemesanan bahan baku tahun 2015-2017 adalah 5 kali, dengan jangka waktu 62 hari melakukan satu kali pembelian dalam setahun. Safety Stock (SS) bahan baku tahun 2015-2017 adalah 87 papan, 102 papan, dan 178 papan, lead time 3 hari. Reorder Point (ROP) bahan baku tahun 2015-2017 sebesar 91 papan, 107 papan dan 183 papan. Kata Kunci: Persediaan bahan baku, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock (SS), and Reorder Point (ROP). The results showed that the most optimal amount of raw material purchases according to the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) calculation in 2015-2017 was 86 boards, 110 boards, and 106 boards. The raw material booking frequency of 2015-2017 is 5 times, with a period of 62 days of a one-time purchase in a year.
