Observability and identifiability of chaotic systems-keys to system synchronization and transmission security (original) (raw)

Proceedings of 1997 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Circuits and Systems in the Information Age ISCAS '97, 1997

Abstract

We apply standard automatic engineering approaches to investigate the problem of synchronization in higher-dimensional possibly hyper-chaotic systems. The concept of observability and construction of an observer for a chaotic system offers a general framework for proving synchronization and building synchronized systems applicable to data transmission on a chaotic carrier. Furthermore the concepts of identifiability offer some insight into transmission security
