Student's Environmental Literacy Profile Of Adiwiyata Green School In Surakarta, Indonesia

Environmental literacy refers to the knowledge of the mechanism of how the nature works and the roles of human to preserve the nature sustainably. The dynamic relation between human and environment can be seen from the life interaction along with all the components. One characteristic of society that has environmental literacy is highly concerned with environmental. Environmental Literacy of Students at SMA Negeri 6 Wajo, South Sulawesi Province

This study aims to determine the level of environmental literacy of students. Research using descriptive quantitative research methods. The respondents of this study were 110 class XII students at SMA Negeri 6 Wajo. The data collection technique uses environmental literacy instruments based on aspects of environmental literacy by NAAEE (North American Association for Environmental Education) consisting of cognitive aspects, attitude, and behavior. Measurement of cognitive aspects using questions while aspects of attitudes and behavior using a questionnaire with a scale Likert. The results showed that the environmental literacy of class XII students at SMA Negeri 6 Wajo as a whole (71.3%) was in the medium category with details of cognitive aspects (50.0%) being in the medium category, attitude aspects (84.1%) being in high category and behavior (78.7%) is in the high category.

Exploring Educotourism Through Eco-Literacy in English Learning Materials in MTs Sumber Bungur

Some external factors affect the education system on the macro, including ideology, economy, politics, socio-culture, and natural environment. These factors affect each other in the educational system, including the interaction with the social and natural environment in the broader ecosystem. Eco-literacy should become the curriculum's main focus to face severe environmental problems in the future. The students' ecological intelligence can be grown through understanding the environment and how to be environmentally friendly. This study aims to investigate eco-literacy through English learning materials in terms of educotourism. This research applied the qualitative research method. The data showed in descriptive method because it needed to describe the eco-literacy in English learning materials in MTs Sumber Bungur Pakong regarding educotourism. Meanwhile, the data was collected from observations, interviews, and documentation in MTs Sumber Bungur Pakong. The research results showed the implementation of educotourism through eco-literacy in English earning materials in MTs Sumber Bungur Pakong by founding a syllabus design called ATP related to eco-literacy made by the school of MTs Sumber Bungur Pakong. The syllabus design existed two materials attached to eco-literacy are learned: obligations, prohibitions, and suggestions. Besides, the researcher also found the advantages and disadvantages in making the students aware of keeping the environment.

Eco-literacy play a crucial role in instilling awareness in children about the importance of protecting the environment. The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of nature school students’ eco-literacy. The research method used qualitative research with a case study approach. The research subjects were selected through the purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires, observation, interviews, tests, and document study. The data analysis technique employed in this study was the interactive data analysis technique. The results revealed that: (1) cognitive aspects were quite good, indicated by a systematic understanding of nature; (2) emotional aspects were good, shown by high caring and empathy; (3) spiritual aspects were good, indicated by the attitude of respecting nature; (4) high activity aspects, shown by ability to apply ecological knowledge into life practices. Environmental development is one of the pillars of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which aims to manage natural resources and the environment in a sustainable manner. Currently, both household and industrial waste are one of the causes of environmental damage due to environmental pollution. This study aims to describe the environmental literacy activities organized by Kampoeng Recycle, Jember to foster environmental awareness behaviour. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, in order to obtain a description of environmental literacy activities in household waste management. The informants of this study were the managers of the Kampoeng Recycle and the Kampoeng Recycle Community. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model, namely through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that literacy activities related to household waste management by Kampoeng Recycle involved all levels of society, both children, adolescents and adults. Environmental literacy activities include waste class activities, recycling camps, recycling gardens and waste recycling skills.

Global warming is a global issue. Eco campus or green campus is the concepts to resolve the environmental problems. The aim of this research is to analyze how eco is your campus observed from knowledge and students’ perception on environmental sustainability education. The methods of this research are cross sectional study and analytic observational. The total of respondents is 160 students who randomly chosen. Respondents have interviewed about their perspectives on environmental sustainability education especially the eco campus concept. The result of this research showed that 134 respondents (83,75%) had known about the information of the eco campus. There were 77 respondents (48,1%) have the negative attitude, 43 respondents (26.9%) have the positive attitude and 40 respondents (25%) have the neutral attitude about the eco campus. Perception of Ecological Literacy in Education: A Scale Development Study

The increase in the world population day by day affects the balance of the living world, nature, and environment. Due to unawareness and misuse, the emergence of some environmental imbalances causes the formation of ecological problems. In order to prevent the emergence of these problems or to combat them, everyone in the education process should have an awareness level of ecological literacy. The aim of the research conducted in this direction is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool for determining the ecological literacy levels of teachers. Within the framework of the purpose of the research, a literature review on ecology and ecological literacy was conducted. An item pool of 96 items was created. Language, meaning and content validity of the items forming the trial scale form was ensured. The data of the research were obtained with the participation of 879 teachers working in public schools in Turkey. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed on the obtained data. The final ecological literacy scale consists of three different components: cognitive (α=.84), affective (α=.87), and behavioral (α=.92) attitudes. According to the results of the analysis, it can be said that the scale developed is reliable enough to measure teachers’ ecological literacy attitudes.
