The office as an instrument of militancy: the case of the isolated ports of Santos/SP (original) (raw)

This article aims to observe how the militancy can be exercised in the daily workers not only from the "chosen" but also by those who are daily in the fronts of work. This effect, the casual dock-workers of Santos and his concept of craft are model. This, therefore, in research conducted with these workers between January and July 2006, found that, for them, the craft appears as a central point in the discussions and as part of struggle, not only by unions, but in daily exercise of the profession, when the craft is required as a means of separation and specialization of worker.
