This study aims to develop an electric circuit trainer kit learning media, study the feasibility of trainer kit learning media, study the feasibility of worksheets for electric circuit learning media, and determine the effectiveness of electric circuit learning media. This study refers to the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results showed that the learning media feasibility of the electric Circuit trainer kit-based cooperative learning was included in the category very decent with an average score of 102. Job sheet Media learning is in a very decent category, with an average score of 93.5. Electric circuit trainer-based Cooperative learning is rated very useful for basic electrical and electronics practice with an average n-gain score of 0.77.
Development of an Industrial Electrical Installation Training Unit

The purpose of this study is to obtain a modular unit for training and instruction in industrial electrical installations as a suitable learning media. This study uses research and development (RD) with ADDIE model, which consists of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subject is Diploma 4 student in Department of Electrical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. The research result as follows. (1) Manufacture of industrial electrical equipment training module products. (2) Application program feasibility for material-related assessment includes content aspects, learning aspects, and efficiency aspects. Development and Acceptability of Multi-Purpose Electrical Circuit Demonstration Trainer

The research was aimed at ascertaining the acceptability of the Isabela State University 's established MultiPurpose Electrical Circuit Demonstration Trainer. The study made use of descriptive analysis using instructors teaching courses in electrical technology and students from the Isabela State University's three campuses, namely: Angadan Campus, Cauayan Campus, and Ilagan Campus.These two groups of respondents used a 20-item questionnaire with five items per section to assess the acceptability of the established demonstration trainer with respect to its design, construction, functionality and safety. The developed MultiPurpose Electrical Circuit Demonstration Trainer is thus patented, replicated and adopted for use by other universities and colleges offering courses in electrical technology.

Learning media is everything that can channel the message of learning resources in a planned manner, to create a conducive learning environment, where the recipient can carry out the learning process effectively and efficiently. Vocational learning must be effective in meeting basic objectives to prepare vocational graduates to be ready to work. Thus, it is an assignment for lecturers whose function is to prepare vocational teacher candidates. The question that arises is "how should a learning media be developed", so that the learning process in the classroom can run effectively and efficiently, so that students get optimum learning outcomes. For this reason, it is necessary to do research with the title "Development of Electrical Motor Control (EMC) Learning Media as Learning Support for Electrical Power Installation Courses in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Surabaya State University". This study aims: (1) to develop Electrical Motor Control (EMC) Trainer; (2) to find out the feasibility level of the Trainer in a learning perspective; and (3) to determine the effectiveness of the EMC Trainer in the learning process. The research method uses Research & Development (R & D), followed by experiments with the design of "one-group pretest-posttest design". The study found that: (1) based on the validator's assessment, that the EMC Trainer that had been developed was very feasible to be used in learning in the Electrical Power Installation course; (2) based on the assessment of students, that the EMC Trainer is very suitable to be used in learning courses in Electric Power Installation; and (3) as many as 26 (74.28%) students get scores on learning outcomes in the 71-100 range, with good and excellent categories. The study concluded that the EMC Trainer is very feasible and effective to be used to support the learning of Electric Power Installation courses.

The Practicality of Electric Power Distribution System Trainers as Learning Media

Learning media has a salient role in learning process, especially in the Electric Power Distribution System subject. Utilization of learning media will be very helpful in providing real experience for students to simulate the electric power distribution that exists in life into a learning process. Trainer is one medium that can be used for this need. The use of trainers is expected to increase the efficiency of vocational learning, as well as train the skills students need to work. In addition, the use of trainers can also minimize the risk of accidents in the practical process compared to doing direct practice on a large scale from the electric power distribution system itself. This research was aimed to determine the practicality of the Electric Power Distribution System trainer. This research is a continuation of research and development that has been done before, using the ADDIE development model. This research is in the implementation stage to see whether the trainer developed is already in the practical category and is feasible to be applied at the next stage. Data collection was carried out using practicality assessment sheets which were filled in by lecturers of electrical engineering at the Universitas Negeri Padang and also students. The research results show that the distribution system trainer developed has been practical both from the perspective of lecturers and students as practitioners. This practicality meets the aspects of ease of use of media, time efficiency, easy to interpret, and is equivalent to the practical category.
Development of Trainer Kit Quality Control (TKQC) on Motorcycle Electrical Competencies

This study aims to produce Trainer Kit Quality Control (TKQC) on motorcycle electrical competencies, and the effectiveness of TKQC is obtained in improving understanding of the basics of motorcycle electrical lighting systems. Research methods using research and development (Research and Development). First test respondents (small scale) were 18 students and 4 automotive teachers, while second test (largescale) were 36 students and 7 automotive teachers. Data collection instruments were by questionnaires, the results of small and large scale testing were used to revise TKQC. The results showed that TKQC was developed in accordance with the basic competencies of motorcycle electricity, produced at a low cost, simple, flexible, practical, based on the average response of practitioners 81.06% or it means good, and experts response showing an average of 82.39% or it means in good qualifications. The results of large-scale trials on 5 components namely visibility, interesting, simple, useful and accurate as a whole showed an average of 94.70% for teachers and showed an average of 93.36% for students is included in very good qualifications. The effectiveness of TKQC seems to be seen in students who are more enthusiastic and eager to learn, TKQC makes it easy for students in the learning process, TKQC is easy to operate, students can learn independently.
The major purpose of the study was to investigate the fault detection and diagnosis training requirement of technical colleges as a tool for empowering electrical/electronics trade students. Two research Questions were answered. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The population for the study was ninety two (92) comprised of all sixty six (66) electrical /electronics technical college teachers in Oyo and Ogun states and 24 electrical/electronics technologists which were sampled in the two states using purposive sampling techniques. The internal consistency of the instrument was ascertained using Cronbach Alpha method and reliability coefficient obtained for the instrument was 0.89. Structured questionnaire containing 153 items was designed and used for data collection. Mean and standard deviation were used to analyze research questions. The findings of the study revealed that ability to detect faulty components, ability to diagnose appliances components, ability to work with multiple technologies and keep up to date with new technologies are required for the training electrical/electronics students on fault detection and diagnosis of electrical/ electronic appliances in Nigeria technical colleges. The findings of the study also revealed that magnifying lens, oscilloscope, personal computer, screwdrivers, drills soldering iron, fire extinguishers, and first aid box among others are the required instrument training electrical/electronics students on fault detection and diagnosis of electrical/ electronic appliances in Nigeria technical colleges. It was recommended that necessary effort should be made by stakeholders of education and curriculum development to integrate the relevant skills on fault detection and diagnosis of electrical/electronic appliances into the curriculum of electrical/electronic students of technical colleges of Nigeria. Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is a conglomeration of school and training based type of learning experiences which aims to inculcate in students practical skills, scientific know how, social and academic traits and entrepreneurship fitness to enable students to be self dependent or perform excellently in world of work. International Labour Organization (2010) claimed that TVET is a range of learning experience that are relevant for employability, portability of competencies and qualifications and recognition of skills, decent work opportunities and lifelong learning in and related to the world of work. Technical and Vocational Education and Training in an ideal situation offers career development opportunity to the students. TVET, according to Henry, Jack and Getrude (2014), plays an orientation role towards the world of work and its curriculum emphasizes on the acquisition of such employable skills, which is a fundamental necessity for driving the industrial and economic growth. The author stated further that TVET is a key to build this type of technical and entrepreneurial workforce which Africa needs to create wealth and emerge out of poverty. This is because Technical and Vocational Education and Training produces educated, skilled and motivated citizen who can profit society by creating enterprise or gain employment from employers. Okwelle (2011) submitted that Technical and vocational education and training is an integral part of National development strategies in many society because of the many impact on human resource development, productivity and economic growth. The major aim of Technical and Vocational Education and Training is to produce citizen who can be self dependent and reliance. UNESCO in Henry, Jack and Getrude (2014) claimed that the objective of TVET is to train the workforce for self employment and the necessity to raise the productivity of the informal sectors. Aklhilianand and Eci (2008) claimed that most commonly articulated goal of Technical and Vocational Education and Training are to: Facilitate economic development by transmitting to local citizen certain value, knowledge and attitudes that necessary to perform certain skill in modern sector of economy; Provide young people with the skills needed for employment in a wide range of job categories including self employment and wage employment; Promote a work ethic and sensitize learners to the importance of practical work skills and dignity of manual labour; Promote sustainable development, save the environment and improve the quality of living; Alleviate unemployment as well as poverty;
DEVELOPMENT OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS TRAINER FOR AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS

This study aimed to develop an automotive engine electrical systems trainer for automotive technology students with the integrated starting, ignition, and charging systems. It also focused on determining the salient features and the effectiveness of the trainer as an instructional device in introducing basic electrical concepts embedded in Automotive Technology program. The study employed a quasi-experimental research design. The respondents were chosen using simple random sampling technique. There were 40 students in the control group and 29 in the experimental group. The control group used the traditional method of teaching, while the experimental group used the automotive engine electrical system trainer during instruction. Data were analyzed through the use of the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, regression analysis, K-S test and t-test. The findings revealed that in the performance ratings in the cognitive and psychomotor domains of the two groups, it indicated that the group in the experimental design performed better than the students in the control group. Moreover, it was concluded that the experts' high approval rating on the evaluation of the trainer as an instructional device confirmed that it was effective in teaching the cognitive and psychomotor skills in shop laboratory. It was recommended that academe with the vigorous and sustaining support of the administration can accelerate technological advances through creative, innovative and scientific production of teaching devices which are feasible, affordable and doable. Also, intensify research in the academe to tap the potentials of Filipino ingenuity.
