CoVID-19, A Man Made Disaster & Its Treatment
2020
Time and again history has been a proof that every time humans tried to interfere with the nature, it has always returned their reward in more destructive and irreversible way. The epidemic and pandemic like Plague of Athens, Influenza, Antonine plague, Cholera pandemic, Flu pandemic & its consequent infections and recently followed by most virulent of all, Covid-19. Likewise, COVID-19 is a reward back to those who expected its creation for the fulfillment of their greed. The contradictions still lies as countries are busy proving it to be natural and not the cultivations of highly developed so called self-proclaimed lords around the world. But the irony here is, they are the one who are highly been affected by this deadly pathogen called SARS-CoV-2. The main getaway for this particular virus is through Angiotensin-converting Enzyme-2 (ACE-2) & TMPRSS2 causing further infection within the body. The main role player, responsible for this deadly infection is the oxidative stress, which can be the decision maker for majority of the diseases. All these are the outcomes of the faulty habits of the human beings and the major contribution goes to saviours of human kind, the so called pharmaceuticals lords who have made each and everyone more and more drug dependent. Despite of the evidences of their faults and fallacies, the world is relying on them to come out with the solution rather than giving equal chance to the other fields of medicine, like Homeopathy, Yoga, Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Biochemic mode of treatment e.t.c.. It should be keep in mind that, treatments are not sufficient to eradicate these pathological conditions, nor the artificial preventive measures like the vaccines. To eradicate these pathologies we have to stop manipulating the nature and we have to careful about the hygiene, both external and internal. Well, if world cannot take these fields under consideration and believe it to be the medicines based on theories or trailers than its time they roll back to history and see what they have contributed to the society. One very good example can be seen in case of 1918's Flu pandemic where people were in crisis and their no hope for their survival, at that particular time if Homeopathic medicine Gelsemium had not come for rescue than outcomes would have been worst. Such many examples and their record of contribution can be seen through the course of history yet the Governments around the world do not consider them as a field of Medical science, they exist just for a name sake. If you think that creating vaccines, antidotes, antiviral and antibiotics is the Medical Science then the deaths rate that we see today due to various reason is the resultant of this science.
COVID-19 Prophylaxis: The Desperate Need for Mankind
Journal of Pure and Applied Microbiology
Emerging viral diseases are considered as major public health threat to humans and wildlife. Over the past several decades, scientists have been studying viruses to better understand the ways to prevent the rapid spread of diseases during an outbreak. Viruses are likely the most abundant organisms on the earth, and they are not absolutely alive. Viruses today are considered to be in the gray area between the living and non-living things and provoke our thoughts about these minute lifeforms as the precursors of life. Evolution of the global burden due to viral infections on the field medicine have been mostly transformed into a victory accompanied by unlocking the potential of knowledge and break-through technological advancements. Innovative contribution to immunization by Edward Jenner and subsequent eradication of small pox remains as the striking examples for the victory of mankind over the past epidemics and pandemics. These events not only inspire hope, but also remind us the p...

Mankind is witnessing economic uncertainty due to a health crisis as never before. In the era of industrialization where the emergence of invisible enemies of humans is causing a great death toll, "nothing seems more universal than health", the old proverb in nearly all human cultures is once again rebirthed by the current COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless what is distinctive is that the SARS-CoV-2 seems to be unequally targeting a particular sector of the populations with risk factors for preventable diseases. Comorbidities, mainly non-communicable diseases (NCDs), seem to be the primary contributors of the current pandemic and not the SARS-CoV-2 per se. The present letter attempts to underscore the converging pattern of communicable (CDs) and NCDs in human toll. For the tens of thousands of lives coming to an end since the turn of the year, we are all truly sad, but thankful to the virus for unearthing the grave need of the mankind to improve his life style and behaviors. It directs us to revisit the values and ultimately save millions of lives in future.

COVID-19 Facets: Pandemics, Curse and Humanity
International Journal of Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences
We are in the middle of an unprecedented pandemic named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO) which is caused by a novel coronavirus. The novelty of the virus and its disease is so new that the entire world is experiencing its consequences on various aspects. The pandemic is still unfolding and creating some new patterns around us. Besides the buzzword, that is, the vaccine is far from our sight. So naturally, we have to look for existing solutions if they can be implemented until the vaccine arrives. From Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to Bacillus Calmette Guèrin (BCG) all are being used in trials whether they can be pre-vaccine medicine or not. The variable effect on individual sections of the population has to be studied to deliver a targeted response, especially in resource lacking countries. In addition to these medical problems like social distress and quarantine measures which are taking a toll on people's minds, another unwarranted problem of Infodemic has struck us....
COVID-19: Justifying therapeutic suggestions
Since March 11, 2020, when the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic, the world has not been the same again. Economies of nations were shut down following a forced lockdown imposed by the rampaging disease. As of June 4, 2020, number of global deaths caused by the disease is put at 388 thousand, 658 people, with more than 2 million people threatened with job loss globally. Social research linked most patients to the Wuhan whole food market where sea food and live animals are sold. Given the high infectivity of the virus in question, SARS-CoV-19, the rate of transmission of the disease has been on the rise globally. A cure is yet to be found and the battle with the pandemic is still on. From a multidisciplinary perspective, the paper presents pertinent facts about the novel coronavirus of 2019, and justifies some therapeutic suggestions the health world is currently tinkering with (Remdesivir, Azithromycin, Chloroquine/Hydroxychloroquine, Chlorpromazine, Immunostimulants, Ascorbic acid) for managing the disease it causes.
Covid-19 Pandemic: A Curse to World
Asian Pacific Journal of Health Sciences, 2020
The evolving coronavirus disease (COVID-19) spread across the world, affecting more than 200 countries and territories. The genomic analysis proposed that the COVID-19 virus first observed in bats and later spread to humans through unidentified intermediate hosts in the Wuhan Seafood Market, China, in December of 2019. COVID-19 belongs to the family of Beta coronavirus and also refers to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV2) due to its genetic similarities with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-pandemic observed in 2003). At present no any promising treatment strategies or vaccine is available. Hence many researchers and physicians are studying existing agents for its use against COVID-19 infections. Although it provides only symptomatic relief, it helps to halt infection. The intention of this review article is to provide a brief summary of the origin, basic structure, pathogenicity, potent available therapeutic strategies against COVID-19 infection.
COVID19: scam of the century, global conspiracy or Nuremberg of Science
2021
First consideration-In the eyes of a historian, and not an epidemiologist, health is certainly an important value, but it is a principle that cannot be affirmed in absolute terms without considering the ethical values that precede it, which are freedom and conquest of citizens' civil rights. What happened to these shared values if all those who in the past sacrificed their lives for our freedom ever thought that the principle from which all others derived was "health"? The conquest of freedom comes before the right to health and limiting the basic civil rights of citizens on the basis of this idea alone is wrong, because it indicates the predisposition to reverse the order of problems. In different historical conditions, the same people who today affirm that "the important thing is health" would have sent millions of people to die, claiming that the primary value for the people was not health, but the homeland and its principle of self-determination. The comparison is not disrespectful, because even in the current circumstance of the COVID19 pandemic most have said that we are in the presence of a real war and it has been repeated several times that to win it everyone must sacrifice: meaning with everyone, the only ones who are most exposed in the fight against contagion and the social categories most economically affected by the restrictions. Therefore nothing new, if not the fact that times have changed, and if once the war was won with the sacrifice of the lives of many, today the sacrifice required is limited to the suspension of everyone's freedom. That the initial assumption is ethically wrong is further demonstrated by the fact that if two opposing principles of truththe right to health and the sacrifice of health-are equally placed before each other as historical circumstances change, these cannot constitute in no case a shareable ethical truth. To be pragmatic, history teaches us that the only real principle of truth resides in those circumstances which, despite having been silenced, prove not to vary when those conditions vary. From the considerations made, the only truth that can be shared is that, both in the wars of the past and in this one, the interest of the strategists of the respective war is placed before the interest of the citizens: in the past they were the interests of the military class, in accordance with arms manufacturers; today the interests of virologists and epidemiologists are, in agreement with drug manufacturers. In all cases, the strategies are implemented on our heads and it is not insignificant to ask ourselves what their social and economic cost will be and if they will be really effective and inspired by the achievement of the declared ethical objectives. Last but not least, it is legitimate to ask ourselves if they will lead us to a victory or a scorching defeat. The Cominarty BNT162b2 vaccine From a principle improperly taken for granted, the only possible solution was the urgent preparation of a vaccine that would counter COVID19, thus passing the baton of our destinies to the research laboratories of multinational drug companies. The first of these that had declared that it had developed an effective vaccine would have obtained an extraordinary position on the financial market, with exclusive and multi-billion dollar orders from all states. As an archaeologist researcher at the University of Bologna I know the rules of scientific research and, even more, I an
COVID-19: One of the Worst Pandemic having a Mysterious Origin
2020
Whole world is now struggling and suffering from CoVID-19 pandemic. The disease has already reached almost every corner of Earth and affected the entire population in a harsh way. Many Government research organizations as well as biotech companies are in a race track of vaccine development but none have gained success yet. Researchers are still trying to figure out the actual origin of the SARS-CoV-2 which may pave a helpful way in vaccine development, while most of the reports suggest its origin from Wuhan, China. While many countries are accusing China for its probable lab origin, most researchers supports it natural origin that are discussed here. This review covers the structure, evolution, current researches and the therapeutics that are now used in some countries to help patients recover from this viral infections. Some preventive measures as per the WHO and CDC guidelines are also discussed here.
The Current Scenario of COVID-19 Outbreak: Bringing World to a Halt
Annals of Tropical Medicine and Public Health
Viral infections are well known to pose a serious health threat if not treated on time, which is the current scenario of almost all nations of the world due to COVID19 pandemic. The disease believed to be originated from China in last December has killed >30,000 and infected around 550,000 worldwide in just a span of 3-4 months still poses a larger risk to the society due to unavailability of a potential drug or any other therapeutic intervention. However, the only treatment options available are the drugs prescribed in symptoms similar to those observed in COVID19 or by social distancing so as to halt the mode of human transmission from an infected person any further. Such a situation also highlights that, although we may have achieved scientific advancements in several other medical conditions but more efforts are warranted in near future to limit the spread of such pandemic outbreak. This review introduces the basic concept of COVID19, its epidemiology, diagnosis and management strategies to be followed till any therapeutic drug is made available over the counter.
