Students at schools learn to write in order to express their ideas well. They should have a good ability in writingEnglish texts. However, many students find it difficult to express their ideas in a paragraph, and to make a composition correctly. Improved Ability to Read Text of Biography with Reciprocal Teaching Strategy

This research aims at improving the ability to read the biographical text through the reciprocal teaching strategy in science class grade X SMA N 1 Kalibawang. This classroom action research was done based on stages developed by Kemmis and Taggart. The design is classified into four stages namely planning, action, observation and reflexion. The subjects of the research are students of X MIPA2 SMA N 1 Kalibawang totally 30 students. This research was conducted in two cycles in which each cycle has two meeting. The object of this research is the ability to read and write the biography text. The collecting data uses assessment manual, test of learning outcome, field note and document of activities. Technique of data analysis was done by qualitative descriptive and the result of the score was analyzed quantitatively. The result of the research shows that there is an improvement in the learning process of reading biography text. It is shown by the improvement of the student's activity, enthusiasm and selfconfidence during the learning process. The improvement also occurs in the outcome of the learning outcome of reading biography text from cycle I to cycle II. The learning outcome of reading biography texts of cycle I ia 67% and in cycle II is becomes 83%.

The primary outcome of this research is Indonesian language learning media created with the Prezi application. The quality of Indonesian language learning media utilizing the Prezi application is extremely feasible based on the product development process, which includes product validation by experts (material expert, media expert, and practitioner expert validations). Students from SMAN 5 Bandar Lampung were the research subjects. The researchers also performed a small-scale trial with ten randomly chosen students and a large-scale trial with thirty students. DEVELOPING WRITING MATERIALS IN LEARNING DESCRIPTIVE TEXT FOR THE TENTH GRADE OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

This study aims to develop textbooks as teaching materials in writing descriptive text based on local wisdom of Banten. The research was conducted by using research and development (R&D) methods that is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Analysis). The study was conducted in the tenth grade of senior high school at MA Nurul Huda Baros, wich involved 21 respondents. Data collection techniques used interviews and questionnaires. The validation of teaching materials is carried out by material experts and media experts. The two validation resulted in "good" qualifications. From the results of the validation of the material experts, the percentage is 78% and the results of the validation of the media experts are 80%. Textbooks in the material of writing descriptive text, get a good response from students with a presentation of 82% with "very good" qualifications. Textbooks as teaching materials in descriptive text writing materials can help students improve their ability to write descriptive text. This can be seen from the results of the pre-test and posttest scores. The pre-test score got a score of 60,19 and the post-test score got a score of 77,71, which means that the post-test score is greater than the pre-test score. Based on the results of research and development conducted, it is stated that textbook as teaching materials in writing descriptive text based on local wisdom of Banten is appropriate to be used as learning materials.

This research aims to analyze the use of poster media in increasing student creativity in producing written sentences in the form of autobiographical and biographical texts in Arabic using poster media in higher education. Researchers used a qualitative approach with a case study method on 35 students. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and observation during Arabic writing skills learning activities. Data analysis involves the triangulation of data sources across three stages: data collection, reduction, and presentation. The research results show that: 1) Student creativity in writing autobiographical and biographical texts using posters is more varied with the choice of colors, images, and identification of introductory texts, experiences, and life learning; 2) the sentence structure used consists of five structures, namely the structure of verbs, nouns, adverbial attributes, properties, and prepositions. Research findings show that using poster media to learn writing skills can develop creativity and various sentence structures. However, the study is limited to analyzing only two types of texts, highlighting the need for further research to explore additional text genres using poster media and employing a broader range of research methods.
Using Four Types of Narrative in Teaching Writing for University Students in Indonesia

This paper is written in a form of library research and its purpose is to search ideas in giving description of how English lecturer able to develop students' writing skill u s in g narrative writing. The writer selects four types of narrative to improve students' writing skill after reading several theories from scholars and analyzing their ideas on the application of four narratives. By applying four types of narrative, university students in Indonesia will have better understanding in writing good narrative compositions. An d they will also learn how to express their ideas and write them smoothly in the form of narrative writing. Furthermore, the variety of passages in these narrative writings can motivate students to create interesting writing since the nature of these narratives are reflecting their experience directly. In this library research, the writer finds out several advantages which can be obtained from these four narratives. The advantages students can get such as, learn to arrange chronological order inside their writing, expressing experience in dramatic ways, showing the dynamic interpersonal relationships, and increasing their possession for new vocabularies relatively help students to make good narrative writing.

This study aims to: (1) identify the presentation of reading material in grade VII Indonesian textbook and (2) describe the relevance of the presentation of reading material in grade VII Indonesian textbook based on the characteristics of the learners. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative. The data used in this study is the presentation of description text in the seventh-grade Indonesian textbook published by Erlangga. The data source of this research was a document, namely Indonesian grade VII Indonesian textbook. The data collection technique of this study used the documentation and listening methods and continued with the note-taking technique. Analysis of the data of this study used the content analysis method. The validity test of the data in this study used the triangulation theory. The results showed that from the 60 reading material data (1) 11 data are not relevant to students because of characteristics relating to initial abilities, such as intellectual ability, thinking ability, and movement ability. (2) 46 data are not relevant to students because of characteristics relating to social-cultural background and status. (3) 3 data are not relevant to students because of characteristics relating to personality differences, such as nature, attitudes, feelings, interests, and so on. This shows the need for material adjustments to the characteristics of students' abilities, social background characteristics, and personality characteristics. The preparation of textbooks in the future should pay attention to intellectual, sociological, and psychological characteristics of students.
