Leadership Communication: Three Model Approaches

The objective of this article is to portray the close relationship between communication and leadership. Communication approaches to leadership mean the dynamics of leadership could be explained and understood by theories of communication. By using literature review, there were three model of communication in viewing leadership. Firstly, leader uses communication as a tool for influencing people (liner or transmission model). Secondly, communication is view as something discursive that emphasizes leadership as a dialogical process (relational model). Lastly, leadership is viewed communication as distortion and manipulation that aims at dominating (distortion model). The best model depends on situation, culture, and size of people in organization. This paper describes the basic characteristics of principle-centered leadership and distinguish between the practical and theoretical of educational and management organization. This paper also describes that how the perception and credibility of communication are important to our society. The communication is the root of our relationships and trust is based on trustworthiness. People are living in society and not living alone so that this paper explains the leadership within our society. When we live our society, we can not forget the communications that are also important for people. This paper also explain how important of four levels and four principles that are valuable for leaderships.

Communication acts as an instrument for everyone to interact both in formal and informal matters in daily life. The purpose of this study was to analyse organizational communication strategies in shaping the leadership character of the leaders of the Indramayu Oil and Gas Academy (AKAMIGAS). This study uses a qualitative approach, by determining the informants using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection techniques are using observation and interviews. Intra-organizational communication and leadership: An interactive approach

Since both communication within the organization and leadership are two key elements in attaining organizational goals, they are key determinants and are of vital importance in terms of the organization's current achievement and efficiency, and its future position. The present study, which inquires the relationship between intra-organizational communication and leadership through an interactive approach, evaluates the existing interaction from the perspective of both the leader and intra-organizational communication, and attempts to reveal the direction, form and level of the influence of intra-organizational communication and the leader on each other. In this sense, while the leader at the head of the organization is in a position to influence the communication system of the organization positively or negatively through the decisions taken, his behaviors will also be exhibited. Likewise, the communication system of the organization is in a determinative position in evaluations about the leader and his leadership in his success or failure. Therefore, it is emphasized that the leader should pay due attention to intra-organizational communication.

This research background of the company's efforts to improve the performance of employees is a goal to be achieved by the company. Performance is highly dependent on the awareness of each employee. To improve the performance of employees of the company must to maintain the existence of human resources one of the efforts made is to improve employee performance by creating leadership and good communication with employees.The purpose of this study are: 1) To determine the influence of leadership on employee performance 2) To determine the effect of organizational communication on employee performance and 3) To determine the influence of leadership and organizational communication together on employee performance. The population in this study were all employees of a Government Organization, amounting to 35 people. Abstract: The aim of this study is to understand the importance of communication within the management of an organization. The communication comes from various perspectives and is relevant to the dynamics of the organization. The success of the leadership relates to the level and style of the communication; strategize innovation, efficiency, pro-activity thinking and business performance. Thus, we propose to make an in-depth study with six leading figures with communication management responsibility, administration of brand and business. It is in this way that the leader's role is of extreme importance, mediating in which it must instill confidence, ambition, positive attitude, understanding of efficient management and by these examples great expectations from management personnel. Ultimately, inspiring and generating new leaders with creativity, self-leadership and above all the collective vision of the organization itself. The aim of this study was to find out the relationships between leadership styles and communication skills of academic staff in the administrative function at the University of Karamanoglu Mehmetbey. Participants (faculty members and teaching staff) included 40 males and 16 females. We used the survey method in this study. Firstly, present data, related to the aim of the research, was given systematically by scanning literature. Thus, a theoretical frame was formed about the subject. T-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) test were used for analysis of data. The result of the study indicated that administrators who had good communication with teaching staff displayed democratic leadership behavior. Besides, it was found out that administrators over 30-40 age have better communication skills than the others. And also, the study shows that administrators, working for a long time at the same university, displayed democratic leadership and better communication skills. Democratic leadership style leaves a positive impact on morale and satisfaction. Thus, a high correlation was found between leadership behavior and communication skills.

The purpose of this article is to recognize the importance of communication in the management of the school organization, being in a continuous changing. The need to adjust at this changings of the entire educational system, and also of the school organization, represents a topical subject of the research in the literature. Leadership is now an attribute desired/ demanded also by the school organization, to their directors. In this context, the leaders have self-confidence generating trust to others. Around true leaders, employees feel prepared, appreciated and work with enthusiasm. Leadership is connected with the power to influence the human’s behavior. The way to determine the human resources to understand the need of changing, can be implemented only by means of a leader, who appreciate and understand the need for adjust and change, use an optimal process of communication, generating unity in making decisions.
Communication, a Key Factor in the Management of Educational Establishments
