Islam has perfectly organized all notions involved in human excellence through its material and spiritual guidance; settlement and housing are no exception. Therefore, real Islamic housing can be of concern to architecture researchers in Islamic Republic of Iran. On the other hand, the severe shortage of residential units, low quality of construction, short life span of buildings and low financial ability of home buyers are other challenges facing architects in Iran. According to the experts, industrial construction is an appropriate solution for these challenges. In this paper, the uncertainty and dissatisfaction with industrialized construction are discussed in terms of identity issues such as Islamic housing. Since the Iranian society theoretically seeks Islamic architecture for its houses and on the other hand, construction necessitates the application of industrialized building methods, the relationship between these two realms must be investigated and their facts should be ana...

Background and Objective: Performance evaluation and the determination of the effectiveness of management systems, including the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) management system, is inevitable to achieve constant improvement in organizations. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted to evaluate and rank contractors for Health and Safety Executive (HSE) performance using multicriteria decision making methods of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) in Imam Khomeini port complex. We also strived to provide management solutions to improve the HSE status of contractors in this complex. Results: After identifying 38 contractors, 4 criteria and 22 sub-criteria were determined by using Delphi technique, and then the criteria and sub-criteria were weighed and prioritized by using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method. The management criteria with the weight of 0.586 obtained the highest score and the environmental criteria with the weight of 0.0085 attained the lowest score. Also, the sub-criterion of the HSE professional staff with the weight of 0.272 obtained the highest and green space with the weight of 0.006 obtained the lowest weight. Finally, the contractors were assessed and ranked in terms of HSE performance using the TOPSIS technique. The results showed that in terms of HSE performance T.GH.KH, A.N.A and G.A companies with activity the port and sea service-aridity and vacating and loading installations with arrange points 0/9452, 0/9367 and 0/9264 ranked the first until third place. Also, contractors based on performance HSE were ranked in the three levels of good (9 contractors), moderate (22 contractors), and weak (7 contractors). Conclusion: According to the selected criteria, the performance of HSE management in the majority of contracting companies in a favorable situation. This situation can be attributed to the establishment of HSE management system and the level of contractors' compliance with the HSE requirements.

This research investigates the effect of sales changes and expectations of sales growth on the stickiness cost in uncertainty conditions. In the uncertainty about the most important thing, the leader of the organization is integrated cost management. Integrated Cost Management Strategic Management is the choice of providing flexible resources to meet the sources of uncertainty in demand. Therefore, it is important to study the stickiness of costs and the factors affecting it. The statistical population of the research is all companies listed in Tehran Stock Exchange during the period of 2007 to 2016. The sample is also selected using a systematic elimination method of 73 companies. The research hypotheses are about the study of the implicit cost behavior. The research method is using multivariate regression based on Data panel. Also, research data was collected using the software. The evidence of research suggests that with increasing sales growth and the ratio of market value to bo...

Background and Objective: Nowadays with the increase of global competition, companies apply several scientific methods to identify, assess, and remove potential failures in the production process. In this regard, the present study aimed to identify and analyze the potential failure modes in a hydraulic pump manufacturing company by using a combination of interval valued fuzzy analytic network process (IVF-ANP), interval valued fuzzy failure mode effect and analysts (IVF-FMEA), and interval valued fuzzy TOPSIS (IVF-TOPSIS). Materials and Methods: For the purposes of the study, first, the potential failure modes of the production process were identified using the opinion of experts. Then, the failure modes were prioritized based on the proposed method. The proposed approach applied the IVF-ANP to determine the weight of each risk assessment factor and a combination of IVF-FMEA and IVF-TOPSIS to rank the potential failure modes. Results: In total, 30 failure modes were identified in th...
Background and Objective: Millions of workers are being victims of work accidents each year. According to International Labour Organization, 120 millions of work accidents occur every year which lead to death or disability of many human resources. Method: This study, being the first one to consider the crystal and glass industry in the country, has been carried out in Isfahan Crystal and Glass Factory as the case study. This study is performed through comparing the data and statistics of the accidents, and evaluating and analyzing the rate of harms to the industry workers in a 12-year period (2001-2013). The management improvement strategies for sustainable development are presented according to the obtained results. The ultimate goal of this paper is to assess the safety indexes in crystal and glass industry to help enhance health and safety level of the work environment. Findings: The results show that majority of the recorded accidents belong to production section with frequency ...

Introduction: To prevent accidents and minimize the risk of unexpected disasters in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, an inspection of equipment in terms of mechanical integrity and safe and consistent service providing are of utmost importance. The purpose of this study is integrated risk and asset management by implementing risk-based inspection techniques in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. Methods: Firstly, this systematic review study identified a list of keywords based on RBI and then exclusively on the internal and external databases of Science Direct, Pub med, Google Squalor, SDI, Google Searcher, and Scopus without a time limit. Afterward, keywords, including risk management, probability of failure, asset integrated management, risk-based inspection, consequences of failure, and corrosion management, were searched. Result: A review of various studies showed that the risk-based inspection approach provided the necessary platform for upgrading and formula...
A Comparison of Older Adults’ and Managers’ Attitudes Towards Age-Friendly City Indexes
Objectives The process of development of age-friendly environments is one of the key challenges of policy makers. The aim of present study was to compare the elderly people's and managers' views towards age-friendly city indexes. Methods & Materials In this descriptive-analytic study, the attitudes of 379 older adults and 57 managers were compared. Data collection tool was WHO age-friendly cities indicators (2013). Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, frequency percentage) and gamma test using SPSS software V. 21.0. Results Of the 379 older adults, 64.9% (246 persons) were female. The mean age of the elderly was 68.31±8.25 years (minimum 60 and maximum 89 years). There were significant differences between older adults' and managers' views in 13 indicators of 21 indicators. The major indicators were evaluated 'bad to very bad " from elderly people's views. The significant difference from the managers' views include...
