Covid-19 and its impact on Education system in India

The outbreak of Covid-19 had carried a new challenge to the field of Education that was being unexpected. As a result, we had to move from conventional education system to online learning (technology based) education system using different online platforms. Although most of the advanced educational institutions in India are not well equipped with digital facilities yet to cope with the sudden changes from traditional system to digitalized system, they are more hopeful to continue their educational activities through online. In the review of literature section, we have summarized the learning from various reviews of literature relating to our subject. Since March 2020, the ups and downs seen in the whole world have rarely been seen. Covid-19 has made many changes in the way the world lives, eats, sleeps, studies and does all other activities. Its different effects are being seen in different areas. Its different effects are being seen in different areas, in which education is such an area where radical changes have taken place. Lock down forced people to change their traditional methods of teaching and adopt new ways for that. There have been many changes from giving education to taking education. Online methods of studies have brought a revolution in the education world. Today there is no need to go to school to study; new models of education are capable of imparting knowledge sitting at home. After Covid, there were many ups and downs in the education world. In the early days, teaching was a challenge in itself, but gradually efforts were made to make it easier with the help of technology. Through research, the effects of Covid-19 on education have been studied. Online survey was conducted for evaluating the impact of covid-19 on the education sector. For that primary data has been collected from the public of Indore district.

Changing of Education System During the Pandemic Situation (Covid – 19): A Brief Review

The Covid-19 is very dangerous disease for not only in INDIA it effects across the world. The COVID-19 affects every sector of the industries as; such as Automobile, aviation, railway, hotel, and many more. Moreover, it changes the human life and daily practices and highly affected one of the most important parts of human life is education system. The difficulties of lockdown turns into the online Study Modes and thus online learning became the new standard. Online learning has managed to remain education alive in these dire times. While online education is not a new phenomenon, its importance came to light after the virus, while it has incalculably helped in the continuation of education in the face of the closure of many educational institutions. The importance of online learning is underscored with future prospects.

Over the months, we are facing an unprecedented Global health emergency due to the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and it has affected every sector drastically including higher education in India. Almost all the educational institutions have been closed and teaching-learning activities brought into the end or moved online for the uncertain period of time. Despite being faced all these challenges, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) along with other associated bodies such as UGC, AICTE have managed positively in order to maintain the continuity in teaching-learning activities, research and development, examination and assessment and various other academic activities through online. Due to this pandemic attitude of teachers and students has been completed changed towards information and communication technology (ICT) and it has been made to invent various innovative modes of teaching and learning. More or less, the entire system, process and management of education would have been transformed. This research paper will assess and analysis the impacts of Covid-19 outbreak on Higher education in India. Education Institutions (HEIs) and other educational authorities to ensure seamless teaching-learning activities and academic services during this crisis.

The spread of pandemic Covid-19 has drastically disrupted every aspects of human life including education. It has created an unprecedented test on education. In many educational institutions around the world, campuses are closed and teaching-learning has moved online. Internationalization has slowed down considerably. In India, about 32 crore learners stopped to move schools/colleges and all educational activities brought to an end. Despite of all these challenges, the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have reacted positively and managed to ensure the continuity of teaching-learning, research and service to the society with some tools and techniques during the pandemic. This article highlights on major impacts of Covid-19 on HEIs in India. Some measures taken by HEIs and educational authorities of India to provide seamless educational services during the crisis are discussed. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, many new modes of learning, new perspectives, new trends are emerged and the same may continue as we go ahead to a new tomorrow. So, some of the post Covid-19 trends which may allow imagining new ways of teaching learning of higher education in India are outlined. Some fruitful suggestions are also pointed to carry out educational activities during the pandemic situation.

Health is also a major concern for any country and keeping its countrymen healthy is the responsibility of the nation's authorities. The outbreak of the corona virus (COVID-19) has declared by WHO a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC).
