The Effect of Organizational Culture On Lecturers’ Job Satisfaction and Performance (A Research in Muhammadiyah University throughout East Java)

This study aimed to clarify the effect of organizational culture on job satisfaction and its impact on lecturers' performance. The population of the study is the lecturers of the Muhammadiyah University throughout East Java namely 1881 people, with random sampling it was obtained a sample of 200 people. For collecting data, questionnaires and interviews were used. Data analysis techniques applied SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with the use of AMOS software. The results showed that: (1) Organizational culture has positive and significant effect on lecturers' job satisfaction (2) Job satisfaction has positive and significant effect on lecturers' performance (3) Organizational culture has positive and significant impact on lecturers' performance (4) Organizational culture has positive and significant effect to lecturers' performance through job satisfaction.

Purpose-The purpose of this research is to reveal and analyze the influence between organizational culture and motivation on performance through job satisfaction of lecturer of Indragiri Islamic University Tembilahan. Design/methodology/approach-This research uses quantitative method, with the aim to analyze the performance of 98 lecturers conducted on 6 (six) faculty and 16 (sixteen) Study Program with object objectives are organizational culture, motivation, job satisfaction and lecturer performance. Data collection techniques used in this study is a questionnaire, namely data collection techniques by distributing a list of questions (questionnaires). To test the research hypothesis using data analysis technique that is Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square. Data analysis in this research is done by modeling of WarpPLS structural equation. Findings-Based on the results of the analysis, the conclusion of this study is organizational culture has an insignificant positive effect on job satisfaction. On the other hand, organizational culture has a significant positive effect on lecturer performance. Motivation has a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and performance Job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on performance. Organizational culture can not affect performance through job satisfaction, while job satisfaction is able to mediate the influence of motivation on performance. Originality/value-The originality of this research is evident from the data analysis in this study was conducted by modeling of WarpPLS structural equations which are rarely used specifically for testing relationships among variables, as well as study sites that have never raised the same model.

Effect of Organizational Culture, Leadership Behavior, Achievement Motivation, and Job Satisfaction on Performance of Lecturer at Private University in the Province Of Aceh

The objective of this research is to answer seven problems and hypotheses of the research, they are: 1) Organizational culture (X1) directly and positively influences job satisfaction (X4), 2) Leadership behavior (X2) directly and positively influences job satisfaction(X4), 3) achievement motivation (X3) directly and positively influences job satisfaction (X4), 4) Organizational culture (X1) directly and positively influences performance (X5), 5) Leadership behavior (X2) directly and positively influences performance of lecturer (X5), 6) Achievement motivation(X3) directly and positively influenced performance of lecturer (X5), 7) Job satisfaction (X4) directly and positively influenced performance of lecturer (X5). The research populations were 477 people and the samples were 217 lecturers that were collected by applying the technique of proportional random sampling. The instrument of this research was questionnaire by applying linkert scale, and the lecturers’ performances by applying structural observation sheet. The research instrument was tested by using the validity test with product moment correlation and the reliability test by using Alpha Cronbach formula. The data of the research result were processed and analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics – path analysis. The path analysis was initially done by using the test of analysis procedure covering the test of data formality, and the test of data linearity. The tests of linearity digression inter the variable of research data used F statistic test, and the test of the research formality data used lilifors technique. The result of the descriptive research showed that the performance of the lecturers working for the Private Higher Educations in Province of Aceh was categorized as high, the organizational behavior was categorized as high, the leadership behavior was categorized as high, the achievement motivation was categorized as high, and work satisfaction was categorized as high. Then, the result of the inferential research showed as the followings: 1) There had some direct influences of organizational culture on job satisfaction with the path coefficient 0.212, 2) There had some influences of leadership behavior on job satisfaction with the path coefficient 0.287, 3) There had some direct influences of achievement motivation on job satisfaction with path coefficient 0.261, 4) There had some influences of organizational culture on performance of the lecturers with path coefficient 0.382, 5) There had some direct influence of leadership behavior on performance of the lecturers with path coefficient 0.131, 6) There had some direct influences of achievement motivation on performance of the lecturers with path coefficient 0.127, and 7) There had some direct influences of the job satisfaction on performance of the lecturers with path coefficient 0.132. The research results accepted all 7 seven proposed hypotheses as a fixed model or theoretic model of causal relation structure between organizational culture, leadership behavior, achievement motivation, job satisfaction, and job performance of the lecturers at the Private University in the Province of Aceh. Based on the research result, the researcher believes that job performance of lecturer will increase if organizational culture, leadership behavior, achievement motivation and job satisfaction can be upgraded.

The Influence of Culture , Job Satisfaction and Motivation on the Performance Lecturer / Employees

This study aims to examine the influence of culture, job satisfaction and motivation on the performance of lecturers/employees in universities. Respondents numbered 180 people, consisting of all full time lecturers and permanent employees. Structured questionnaires were developed and distributed to 180 respondents. Valid questionnaires amounted to 146 pieces. Data were analyzed using 2 methods, namely: 1). Descriptive analysis, and 2). Multivariate regression analysis with SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). The results showed that (i) culture and job satisfaction affect motivation; (ii) culture also affects job satisfaction; (iii) job satisfaction and motivation affect the performance; (iv) culture does not affect the performance; (v) culture and job satisfaction affect the performance through motivation. ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AND ITS IMPACT ON THE JOB SATISFACTION

In a developing country like India, quality of education is comparatively lower than many developed nations. One of the fundamental reasons for this is lack of a supportive organizational culture in the education sector. Supportive organization culture like corporate culture can increase level of job satisfaction for teachers. Satisfied teachers will be able to generate and deliver desired knowledge, skill and attitude to students. This study aims to ascertain the impact of organizational culture on the level of job satisfaction of public and private sector teachers working in higher education institutes and universities. Data collected through a structured questionnaire from a group of 347 teachers is used for data analysis. The researchers have used statistical methods like Principal Component Analysis and regression analysis to drive the findings. This study suggests that organizational culture - split into two major components i.e. management and leadership corporate culture (OCM) and employee-related corporate culture (OCE) has a significant bearing on the job satisfaction of teachers in higher education sector. The effect of both forms of culture on work satisfaction is significant and has larger policy implications. The research also proves that OCE's influence on job satisfaction is more than OCM.

Two most extensively studied subject matter in the field of human resource management and organizational behaviour is "Organizational culture" and "job satisfaction". Various theories and models have been developed since a long time on organizational culture and job satisfaction due to their direct relation with human nature and psych. To cope with that changing environment, the educational institutions have to be equally dynamic with clear vision and perception. The most important building blocks for a highly successful institution and an extraordinary workplace is "Organizational Culture". Job satisfaction on the other hand is imperative for the sustainability of the education system as the academic excellence of the students is directly related to it. The present study aims to examine the organizational culture and job satisfaction among the teaching staff of higher education institutions. The study was conducted on a sample 102 teaching staff using OCTAPACE Culture scale developed by Dr. Udai Pareek and Job satisfaction scale developed by Dr. Amar Singh and T R Sharma. The results of the study show that there is significant relationship between job satisfaction and organizational culture and job satisfaction impacts organizational culture. The study also reveals that the teaching staff showed significant variance in their culture score on the basis of the years of experience. Introduction An organisation comprises of various systems and subsystems. All these subsystems work effectively only when the human assets works with cooperation and high morale. The satisfaction of the employee is far more important than we can imagine for the success for any organisation. It is not just the machines and the other non-human elements which add to the success of the organisation without the efforts of the employees the organisation cannot sustain. Additionally, we regard an organisation to be good or bad on the basis of its organisational culture and the level of employee satisfaction. Educational Institutions in this manner cannot be far behind. The perception of any educational institution is build not only on the basis of the student's achievement but also how well the teaching methodologies are adapted, the academic research and its role for societal development. The environment teachers' work in, the satisfaction they have from the institution in terms of recognition, financial benefits and other factors affects their work efficiency therefore are very significant. Consequently, Organisational Culture or job satisfaction comes to the forefront which makes the teaching staff passionate about their work giving their best possible input to provide learning aid as well to give something relevant to the society in terms of research. Earlier, that is before 1980's organisational culture was not studied separately. Later on by the efforts of various studies in industrial psychology, the awareness of the organisational culture for the success of the organisation was created.

Influence of Organizational Culture, Leadership Style, Work Motivation on Job Satisfaction and Lecturer Performance in the Lldikti Environment Region IX Sulawesi

Research objectives (1) To analyze the influence of organizational culture on job satisfaction and lecturer performance (2) To analyze the influence of leadership style on job satisfaction and lecturer performance (3) To analyze the influence of motivation on job satisfaction and lecturer performance. (4) To analyze the influence of job satisfaction on lecturer performance. This study used a quantitative approach using primary data through questionnaires as many as 260 respondents. The study was conducted from June to November 2021. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with the help of Amos Version 25. And SPSS Version 25. The results of this study showed that: (1) Organizational culture, leadership style and motivation have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. (2) Job satisfaction, leadership style has a positive and significant effect on lecturer performance (3) Organizational culture and work motivation have a positive and insignificant effect on lecturer performance. (4) Organizational culture, leadership style and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on lecturer performance through job satisfaction.

International Journal of Commerce and Management Research The impact of organizational culture on job satisfaction of the school teacher of city Khairpur Sindh Pakistan

The present paper intends to specify the impact of organizational culture on job satisfaction of the School Teachers of Khairpur city-Pakistan. Job-satisfaction is an essential component of human beings in a civil society. the individual's assessment within societal environ for achievement of the desired goal and positive enthusiastic condition from the judgment of one's job or job experience the organizational culture represents the performance of the individuals in the job-market. The actual nature of an employee is tallied with respect to such an organization awhile working job. However, the flexible culture entails the suitable working environ to the employees. Organizational system mostly states the various factors like jargon language; good performance; job environ; company's laws; job experience; and so forth that assist the employees for improvement of social life and skills in the work, and communicating its rules norms and values and discipline of an organization. Hence, the quantitative strategy employed for data acquisition and running out through regression analysis for such the work. The study revealed that the various factors are linked with job satisfaction within the organization based on the performance and experiences of the individuals in this perspective in a civil society. Further, the raw data is analyzed through (SPSS) software, and other techniques used for analyzing the statistical data Non-parametric tests, ANOVA, reliability, Linear Regression, and correlation Chi-Square test based on the collected raw data from individuals.

The Influence of Organizational Culture on Job Satisfaction towards Improving the Quality of Education in University of Riau

This study aims to determine the influence of organizational culture on job satisfaction of employees at University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The study used survey methods with correlational techniques. This study involves 60 employees from University of Riau who were selected by simple random sampling. Questionnaires were administered to collect data on job satisfaction and organizational culture among the employees. A pilot study involving 30 employees was conducted for validity and reliability of the instrument. The analysis of the pilot study showed Cronbach alpha value of 0.87 and 0.90 which indicates a high reliability. In this study, the descriptive analysis involves frequencies, percentages, mean, mode and median while the inferential analysis involves linear regression. The findings showed that organizational culture and job satisfaction among employees is at a sufficient level, and there is a positive influence of organizational culture on employees' job satisfaction. The better the organizational culture the higher the employees' job satisfaction. The results of this study show that employees' job satisfaction can be improved through an organizational culture that is conducive. The findings of this study have implications for the management of the University of Riau to involve employees in taking part in cultural activities and conduct trainings to improve their skills in administrative management.

Predicting Factors of Job Satisfaction through Organizational Culture: A Case of Malaysian Private Learning Institution

The paper attempts to explore the dimensions of organizational culture and job satisfaction among employees in one of the private learning institutions in Malaysia. The study utilized Organizational Culture Index (OCI) developed by Wallach (1983), which comprised of bureaucratic, innovative, and supportive cultures. Multistage sampling has been used to select the sample for the survey designed. Questionnaires were distributed to 118 employees, however, only 77 yielded valid responses. The data were then analyzed with the Pearson-Product Moment Correlation test and Multiple Regression tests using the enter method through the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22.0. The findings of the study show that bureaucratic organizational culture has a positive and a moderate relationship with job satisfaction, while, innovative and supportive organizational cultures have positive and high relationships with job satisfaction. In addition, multiple regression analysis indicates that innovative and bureaucratic organizational cultures are the predictors that enhance job satisfaction among the employees in the current private learning institution. Hence, this had called upon the management of the particular learning institutions to foster on innovative and bureaucratic organizational cultures in order to enhance the employees' job satisfaction that will result in higher organization's productivity. Further study to replicate the research in various industries in Malaysia to explore more on the employees' job satisfaction is suggested. Future studies can also examine organizational culture with other variables such as leadership style, organizational commitment, and employee engagement in the Malaysian setting.
