Problem solving is a complex process in which encountered problems are defeated as reaching a target and problem solving skills are developed in school years. And, intelligence is defined as the ability to solve problems or to create products being valued within one or more cultural settings. Therefore, the purpose of the present study is to examine the relationship between multiple intelligences and problem solving skills. The relational model was used in the current study. The research group included 181 female (48.39 %) and 193 male (51.61 %) students studying at Zubeyde Hanim Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Gazi Industrial Vocational High School. The aim of this study is to explore the effectiveness of learning approach using problem-based learning based on multiple intelligences in developing student's achievement, mathematical connection ability, and self-esteem. This study is experimental research with research sample was 30 of Grade X students of MIA III MAN Yogyakarta III. Learning materials that were implemented consisting of trigonometry and geometry. For the purpose of this study, researchers designed an achievement test made up of 44 multiple choice questions with respectively 24 questions on the concept of trigonometry and 20 questions for geometry. The researcher also designed a connection mathematical test and self-esteem questionnaire that consisted of 7 essay questions on mathematical connection test and 30 items of self-esteem questionnaire. The learning approach said that to be effective if the proportion of students who achieved KKM on achievement test, the proportion of students who achieved a minimum score of high category on the results of both mathematical connection test and self-esteem questionnaire were greater than or equal to 70%. Based on the hypothesis testing at the significance level of 5%, it can be concluded that the learning approach using problem-based learning based on multiple intelligences was effective in terms of student's achievement, mathematical connection ability, and self-esteem. Logical Intelligence And Problem Solving Ability In Mathematics Among Secondary School Students
The logical mathematical intelligence is the most securely documented of the intelligence. This intelligence derives from the handling of objects, grows into the ability to think concretely about those objects, then develops into the ability to think concretely about those objects, and then develops into the ability to think formally of relations without objects. Problem solving is a process by which an individual uses previously acquired knowledge, understanding, and skill to satisfy the demands of an unfamiliar situation. This study focus on the logical intelligence and problem solving ability in mathematics among secondary school students. Normative survey method was used for the research. Sample includes secondary students. Stratified sampling technique was used. The statistical technique used was correlation and t test. The hypotheses state that. 1) There will be significant correlation between logical intelligence and problem solving ability of secondary school students; 2) There will not be significant difference between male and female students in their logical intelligence Emotional intelligence & 3) There will not be significant difference between male and female students in their problem solving ability.. 1. The aim of this paper is to describe the research results on multiple intelligences in mathematics learning, using a descriptive approach. It also ascertains the influence of various learning models on mathematics learning outcomes based on students’ multiple intelligences. The present study attempts to investigate the correlation between Gardner's multiple intelligences and problem-solving styles and their role in the academic performance achievement levels of high school students of Bandar abbas. This was a descriptive correlation study .To accomplish this purpose, 270 students of high school of Bandar Abbas were selected by clustering random sampling, and all of them filled the Gardner’s multiple intelligences, the Cassidy and Long’s questionnaires. The fundamental basic theory of this study comes from Howard Gardner, who introduced a theory of human intelligence known as the Multiple Intelligences Theory. This theory concludes that there are eight types of intelligence which belongs to each person. The purpose of this study was to find out the implementation of multiple intelligences based learning to improve students' learning activities, response, and learning outcome in mathematics. This research was conducted in SMP PGRI 1 Ciputat in academic Year 2009/2010. This research used Classroom Action Research, which consists of four stages research procedures were planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instruments of collecting data were using observation sheet activities, daily student journals, interview, and test. The result of the research revealed that the implementation of Multiple Intelligences based learning can enhance mathematics learning activities, giving a positive response towards mathematics and to improve student learning outcomes.

The study was aimed at establishing the relationship between the achievement of secondary school students in mathematical problem solving and their achievement in intellectual ability test using factor analysis. The study population consisted of all the students in Senior Secondary Schools (SSS) in Ondo State. Out of this population, a sample of 206 students was purposively selected from three senatorial districts of the State. Seven instruments (six on intellectual abilities and one on mathematical problem solving) were administered on the respondents. The finding of the study showed that a significant relationship existed between mathematical problem solving and intellectual abilities (verbal, induction and numerical abilities) of the students. Thus, teachers should provide avenue for students to improve their intellectual abilities of verbal, induction, numerical, retention and other abilities. This could be done by enriching the learning environment using different instructional techniques, materials and activities in the classroom.
