The present research study was undertaken to investigate Life skills and its effect on mental health of higher secondary schools students and how it's influenced by medium of instruction (private and government school) and gender. The study of life skills and mental health correlation. Descriptive survey method was used. Using a sampling technique, we selected a sample of 100 students of Lucknow. Life skills scale by Dr Chandra Kumari and Ms. Ayushi Tripathi and mental health by Arun Kumar Singh and Alpana Sen Gupta was used by the researcher after checking its reliability and validity after that researcher analysed on the bases of statistical computation there is a very small negative relationship between life skills and mental health of higher secondary school students.
Effectiveness of Life Skill Programme on Mental Health of Adolescent Students

The major aim of the study was to develop life skills programme for adolescent students and to see its effectiveness on their mental health. Life skills programme was developed based on ten life skills given by World Health Organization (WHO). Sample consists of 44 students in experimental group and 37 in control group from two schools affiliated to SSC board. The treatment, life skills programme was implemented for 48 hrs spread over three months using different interactive methods. The total programme including the pre and post testing in both experimental and control group was 60 hrs. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics such as mean, median, mode, SD, skeweness, kurtosis and inferential statistics namely t-test and wolf " s formula. Findings revealed that students have gained significant life skills abilities. Life skills programme has a minimum effect on mental health of experimental group students. However, significant difference found in pre and post test of mental health of experimental group students. This indicates that treatment given to experimental group was effective.

Method: This experimental study was conducted In 2015 on 100 students of city of Ghaemshahr (North of Iran), who were randomly selected and divided into two equal groups of intervention (n = 50) and control (n = 50). Qualified trainers provided eight sessions (two sessions a week for 2 hours) of life skills training to the intervention group for one month. The control group did not participate in any training sessions during the same period. Mental health in both groups was assessed by a questionnaire pre-and post-training. Data were analyzed using descriptive and infernal (ANCOVA and paired t-test) statistic tests. Results: The average age of the participants in both groups was 13.5±1.01. ANCOVA test results revealed that the average score of violence, addiction, stress and sensation-seeking before and after the training was statistically significant in the intervention group and control groups (p<0.001). Conclusion: Life skills training had positive effects on mental health of the participants. Given the importance of mental health in modern societies, it is necessary for schools to incorporate life skills in their curriculum to support the mental health of adolescents.
Effect of Life Skills Training on Mental Health of Senior Secondary School Students

Objectives: The research aimed to study the effect of life skills training on mental health of senior secondary school students. Method: The study population included 60 students, both boys and girls in the age group of 16-19 years, who are studying in +1 and +2 classes in Government senior secondary smart school in Patiala district of Punjab. This was a one-group, pre-test, posttest, quasi-experimental research. Life skills training programme was conducted in 20 sessions for 40 minutes each. General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) was distributed before and after the life skills training for data collection. Data were analyzed with the help of t-test and ANCOVA. Results: Results indicated the positive effect of life skills training on mental health of students. It also revealed that boys received more benefits of life skills training than girls. Conclusion: The study showed that life skills training had significant effects on mental health of the students. The study suggested that it is necessary for schools to incorporate life skills in their curriculum to support the mental health of students.

This article aims to determine the level of life skills training effect on the educational stress of the Islamic Azad University students of Sanandaj in 2013-2014 and it was done by using the experimental research method with pre-test and post-test of interviewed (testifier) group. The statistic society of this article consist of all Islamic Azad University students of Sanandaj in 2013 – 2014 that based on statistics it was about 11000 persons that Cochran's model was used for estimating the sample size and 277 persons were chosen casually. According to the sample size, firstly the student life stress questionnaire was performed and 60 persons of people that had maximum students life stress depend on questionnaire scale were chosen and screened. The Effect of Life Skills Training on Students' Mental Health and Self-Esteem
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of life skills training on mental health and self-esteem of seventh year female students in Sabzevar. The method of the present study was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. A total of 40 female students in one of Sabzevar schools were selected by simple random sampling and were divided into two experimental and control groups (30 students in each group). The instruments used were the Coldberg Mental Health Test, the Cooper-Smith Self-Esteem Test, and a practical guide to life skills training. Independent group t-test was used to analyze the data. Findings showed that significance level (Sig) values are less than 0.05, so there is a significant difference between life skills training and mental health and self-esteem of students. According to the research results, paying attention to life skills training has an effect on students' mental health and selfesteem. Life skills training enables one to turn knowledge, values, and attitudes into actual abilities, such as what to do and how to do it. What is known today as the skill of life is not only the work of modern scholars, but many of these skills are expressed in the midst of divine teachings, especially in the Qur'an and the hadiths of the infallibles. The Effectiveness of Life Skills Training on Students' Academic Achievement

Objective: The main objective of the present study was to investigate the efficacy of life skills training in enhancing the academic performance of students. Methods: In order to achieve this goal, a semi-experimental pretest-posttest design with a control group was employed. The target population for the research consisted of all female elementary students in the sixth grade residing in Baharestan city during the year 2022. From this population, a sample of 30 students was selected using convenience sampling and then randomly divided into two groups: an experimental group comprising of 15 students and a control group consisting of 15 students as well. The experimental group underwent the life skills training program, while the control group was placed on a waiting list, not receiving any specific intervention. To assess the academic progress of the participants, a researcher-made Questionnaire was utilized as the research instrument. The collected data were subsequently analyzed using the SPSS version 22 software, employing a one-way analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) as the statistical method. Results: he findings of the study unequivocally demonstrated the effectiveness of the life skills training program, which resulted in a significant enhancement in the academic achievement of the students. Conclusions: This research study significantly contributes to the advancement of our comprehension regarding the various facets and dimensions of life skills training, which ultimately exert a profound influence on the academic journey and overall educational outcomes of students.
EFFECTIVENESS OF TRAINING LIFE SKILLS ON ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN AHWAZ CITY
The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness training of life skills on academic performance of High School Students. This study is a experimental with pre-test/post-test and a control group. The sample of consisted of 30 students that selected among high school students in ahwaz city-iran, and assigned to two experimental (n=15) and control groups (n=15). The experimental group attended in 8 weekly session (one hour) of academic and life skills training. The results of t-test showed that the life skills training were effective in improvement of academic performance of students.
A Study Of Life Skills Of Secondary School Students In Relation To Their Psychological Well-Being
The aim of the present study was to compare and relation between the life skills and psychological wellbeing of secondary schools students. In this study collect the data 100 students random sampling from private and government schools for secondary schools students in the Haryana district of Sonipat. The tool used life skills developed by Nair A.R. & R. Subasree (2104) & Psychological well being scale developed by Sudha Bhogale & Indira Jai Prakash (1995). The mean, SD, "t"-test and co-relation were used to analyze the data. According to study's finding, there is no effect of psychological well-being & life skills by Gender and no relationship between psychological well-being and life skills of secondary school students.
