The article deals with the doctrine of Marius Victorinus (ca. 281/291‒382/386) on the Divine thinking or intellection, and provides a reconstruction of its possible philosophical sources. In the beginning the author after a breaf mentioning of Aristotle’s noetic theory in his “Metaphysica” emphasizes an important role of the neoplatonic doctrine of the “intelligible triad” in the Trinitarian doctrine of Victorinus, in which God is seen as the unity of the three Divine attributes, potencies or acts: being, life and thought, which correspond to the persons of the Christian Trinity. It is noted that the relationship between these Divine acts has a dynamic character, based on the logic of the eternal process of self-determination of God as the pure Being (Father), which defines himself as the Life (Son) and returns to himself as the Intellect (Holy Spirit), by which the fullness of Divine self-knowledge is achieved. This process Victorinus also connects with the idea of God as an absolute Spirit ‒ a Substance that exists, lives and thinks of itself. Further the author consideres Victorinus’ concept of two actions and movements in God: one is internal, characterizing God the Father, the other is external, characterizing the Son-Logos. It has been argued that this doctrine goes back to the similar doctrine of Plotinus, which he applies to the One and the Intellect. It is noted that Victorinus in the light of the Neo-Platonic dialectics of the One and the Intellect reconsidered an Aristotelian theory of Divine intellect, which thinks of itself. He not only applies it to the Son-Logos, but also joins to it a Plotinian-Porphyrian conception of the “super-thinking” of the One, as a result of which Divine thinking according to Victorinus has two different forms: an internal, potential, hidden and unmanifest thinking (or “superthinking”) of God the Father, and an external, actual and manifested thinking (or “self-thinking”) of the Son-Logos; the latter initially dwells in the internal thinking of the Father, and then was genereted from it as a Divine thinking that thinks both of the Father and of itself, becoming self-knowledge or self-thinking. Russian translation of "Adversus Arium" IV, 16-28 is attached.
Богословский вестник, 2022
The article deals with one of the most important aspects of the theological work of Archimandrite Justin (Popovich), canonized in the Serbian orthodox Church, St. Justin of Chele. St. Justin compiled an exposition of the foundations of orthodox dogma in Serbian and actively used the terms «all-unity» and «God-manhood». These terms are typical for the philosophy of V. S. Solovyov and for the theological system of Fr. S. Bulgakov, which caused a well-known controversy. The article reveals the original meaning, which St. Justin invested in these concepts and the connection between their use and his ecclesiology is noted. Attention is drawn to the fact that St. Justin built an extremely Christ-centered system in which not only the existence of the Church, but also the existence of man himself is based on the reality of the Incarnation. The main idea of the St. Justin, according to which the whole creation has its ontological unity in man and receives its unity with God in the Incarnation. It is in this sense that, in Popovich's system, all-unity is Christ, and all-unity is the Church as His God-human organism. It is pointed out that in such a concept, sophiology is redundant. The main conclusion is made that Popovich’s idea of unity and God-manhood differs significantly from similar ideas of V.S. Solovyov and Fr. S. Bulgakov.

Евароўскі, В. Б. (2014). Метатэорыя нацыянальнай філасофіі Беларусі. Веснiк Брэсцкага унiверсiтэта Серыя 1. Філасофія. Паліталогія. Сацыялогія(2), C. 11 --18. , 2014
The article summarizes the results of studies on the general theory creation (metatheory) of national phi- losophy of Belarus. Nowadays, this branch of the humanities is a discipline-designed phenomenon that has pub- lic recognition, traditions of research , its own subject area – «History of Philosophy of Belarus», methodology and practice of research. Thus, the problem of conceptual description of the form of the increment of knowledge which is offered by this discipline has become urgent. It is assumed that the definition of the essence, under- standing the structure of the discipline, summarizing practices of learning will be essential elements of this me- tatheory. Therefore, «the national philosophy of Belarus» is a subject-object struct ure, where the correlation of historical narrative with the actual experience of perception of the past is the achievement of historical truth. As a basic theoretical framework meta physical-dynamical model is proposed. These findings again bring us back to the Subject, which now acquir es the status of an essential element of the model of historical and philosophical description.

Orientalistica, 2019
This is the second part of the article (the first part see in Orientalistica [1]. It comprises the analysis of the approach made by Ibn Sina (Avicenna, 980-1037) to the «Metaphysics» by Aristotle. “The Concreteness of Metaphysics”: F.M. Dostoevsky in the Philosophy of N.A. Berdyaev and S.L. Frank
History of Philosophy, 2021
The article considers the influence of Dostoevsky’s thought to the philosophy of N.A. Berdyaev and S.L. Frank. The crucial concept and experience of “living knowledge” and its anticipation in Dostoevsky’s heritage are discussed. Given that the problem of “living knowledge” overpasses the boundaries of pure gnoseology, we examines themes of ethical ideal, the meaning of religious belief and its existential significance. Besides that, in the article are presented three interrelated projects of theodicy in the Russian philosophy of 20th century (by N.A. Berdyaev, B.P. Vysheslavtsev and S.L. Frank). All of these projects are grounded in Dostoevsky’s thought. The supplement to the article consists of the first Russian translation of N.A. Arsenyev’s lecture “The central inspiration of Dostoevsky”.
Daniil Andreev’s Metaphysical Concept
Observatory of Culture
Represents an attempt to analyse ideas of this Russian writer and visionary as the whole system. The author argues that Andreev’s theory has significantly contributed to the perception of the Russian metahistory and the inner spiritual life of a human. The article also reveals a close consistency of Andreev’s worldview to the dialectical philosophical concepts (Vladimir Solovyov, Nikolai Lossky, Semen Frank) and Christian mystical traditions (Imiaslavie).
Theological Reflections: Eastern European Journal of Theology (21/1), 2023
This article offers an analytical review of two approaches to the interpretation of the metaphysical background of the conflict in Rev. 12:7–12. It presents the distinctive features of each of them and the hermeneutic strategy of their authors. It has been observed that theologians have neglected the unity and inspiration of Scripture, and as a result, their conclusions about the subject matter of the study contradict the theological meanings of the history of man’s redemption. The main purpose of this article is not only to point out the complex of problems associated with the rejection of the authenticity of the metaphysical confrontation in these texts. But also for the first time in a theological discussion of this kind, to demonstrate the negative consequences, both for Christian ideology and for humanity as a whole, of rejecting the cosmological cause of the metaphysical war between God and Satan, which took place before the creation of the earth.
The article once again deals with the logoi and their place in the metaphysical and cosmological thought of St. Maximus the Confessor. The author attempts to propose a new classification of the logoi according to the three following modes: an ideal mode (logoi as the primordial divine thoughts or designs), a real mode (logoi as the essences of created things) and a mental mode (logoi as the objects of human knowledge). It has been demonstrated that the logoi existed in God from all eternity as His thoughts or designs, according to which God created all things. Nevertheless the logoi correspond not to the very substance of God, but to the divine energies or acts of will. All the logoi, both of individuals and of genres and species, are collected in the Divine Logos – God the Son, who is both their center and the principle which ontologically transcends them. In the created world the logoi correspond to the inherent creative principles which determine the substance of each thing and its basic natural properties and characteristic features, as well as the purpose of its existence. Along with the universal logoi there are also logoi of individuals. All the logoi form an ontological hierarchy, which determines the diversity of created beings, as well as their unity and different relations between them. The logoi, scattered in the physical world and invisible to human eyes, could become objects of rational cognition, which gradually leads human beings to the mystical knowledge of God and union with Him, that is, to the deification, which is the ultimate goal and divine purpose for the whole created world.
