Smart Traffic Management System using Advanced Technology
2020
India has seen a rapid rise in its vehicular traffic density over the last few years. Apart from this it has also seen a drastic increase in traffic. Considering the present traffic signals and their management systems, timing of traffic signals are preset and depending upon the area and its average vehicular traffic density, some modifications are done in timings to avoid traffic jams at those signals. This paper focuses on curbing traffic violations as well as designing a system which is efficient at managing vehicular traffic in real-time. The system is implemented using a single controller which helps to remove out the hardware complexities and present an efficient system for practical implementation. RFID technology is used for traffic density measurement and to curb traffic violators from jumping red light, barriers are employed at these signals which will also help to ensure that vehicles are behind zebra Crossings and allow smooth movement for pedestrians while crossing road...

With the growing number of vehicles each day, resolving this issue is paramount. Though use of existing popular technologies for traffic congestion and detection control have been studied in recent times, none of them provides an automated system that manages traffic based on detected level of congestion. The objective of this paper is to propose an effective scheme for road traffic management which is fully automated and foolproof considering the rate of ever growing traffic in urban areas. In this paper, we discuss the existing and most widely employed technologies for traffic detection and congestion control with their limitations and also propose an alternative model for the same which employs RFID technology. The basic idea used for traffic management here is to detect and control congestion by using a decision making algorithm which determines how the traffic light operates based on the information collected from RFID devices.
SMART TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM USING RFID
Traffic problems include not just traffic jam because of gain vehicle tightness, also include difficulty fo emergency vehicles, red light traffic violation and accidents causing blockage of roads and loss of lives. Previously proposed systems for smart traffic management specialize in vehicle density based traffic light control and provision for emergency vehicle passage. These such systems are limited to at least one or two focus areas. so as to create a sensible city, a encompassing system for traffic management has to be built that addresses all traffic related issues, not just traffic jam . We propose a smart traffic control System (STCS) using radio frequency Identification (RFID).
Traffic Monitoring and Control Using RFID
– Traffic congestion and tidal flow management were recognized as major problems in modern urban areas, which have caused much frustration and loss of man hours. The operation of standard traffic lights which are currently deployed in many junctions, are based on predetermined timing schemes, which are fixed during the installation and remain until further resetting. The timing is no more than a default setup to control what may be considered as normal traffic. Although every road junction by necessity requires different traffic light timing setup, many existing systems operate with a default sequence. To design an intelligent and efficient traffic control system, a number of parameters that represent the status of the road conditions must be identified and taken into consideration. Approach: In order to solve the problem an intelligent RFID traffic control has been developed. This project is based on monitoring the traffic density at the signal using RFID Reader. RFID tags which is placed (instead of number plate) at each vehicle will serve as the unique number of vehicle .Reader will count the number of tags at the signal and take decision of increasing or decreasing the signal time .This reader is also use to find the violation(VIN of violator) of the signal. Each passive tag will have certain number of bytes information will be different for different vehicles. Whenever any tag will approach any signal, reader will take that bytes of information and simultaneously will also increment the number of vehicles for making decision to change the signal timing. Each tag of data will be stored in main memory (database). This unique data will also help in determining the violator of the signal .Thus it will save human efforts and resources to a greater extent and reduce waiting of the people at the signal. After implementation of this project, now all people waiting at the signal will get proper time (green light) according to the traffic density.
A Review for Traffic Management System Using Different IOT Devices
In recent years, traffic congestion is a major problem in Indian cities as well along with other countries. Traffic congestion is because of increased use of vehicles by the tremendous growing population of country. Another reason is the infrastructure that exists cannot be expanded so as the need for better management of the traffic. Traffic congestion affects day today life in terms of pollution of environment, fuel wastage, increased travelling time etc. Traffic monitoring system is used for monitoring of traffic. Intelligent traffic systems are developed to monitor the traffic keeping the goal as improving transportation safety, mobility and efficiency of transporting. It can be used to detect traffic congestion, Vehicle violating traffic rules, provision for smart parking of vehicles, automatic toll collection charges speed limit violation detection etc. Internet of things (IOT) can play a vital role in Traffic Management, by using various availed methods for traffic management such as video analysis, Infrared sensors, Inductive loop detection, wireless sensor network, RFID etc. are effective methods for traffic Management. Different types of sensors are used for data collection.

Traffic is significant issue in our nation, particularly in urban ranges. Aftereffect of this, activity clog issue happens. Crisis vehicle like rescue vehicle, fire unit, squad cars confront bunches of issue to achieve their goal on account of congested driving conditions, coming about loss of human lives. To minimize this issue, we approach new idea named as "Traffic control framework for blockage control and stolen Vehicle location". In this framework activity freedom done by transforming Red flag into Green flag. We demonstrate an idea of what we call "Green wave". Alongside this, we distinguish stolen vehicle by utilizing extremely advantageous RFID innovation. In the event that stolen vehicle is been distinguished, the framework gives ready sign through ringer. Framework sends Message with the assistance of GSM to Police station. In this framework we Use diverse RFID labels for recognizing rescue vehicle and the stolen Vehicle. On the off chance that Red flag is on and IR sensor is initiated, then framework gives ringer alarm to movement police. This is novel framework which encourage great answer for comprehend traffic clog.
RFID-Based Smart Traffic Control Framework for Emergency Vehicles
In developing countries like India population is significantly growing. As the population grows, the number of vehicles on the roads are also exponentially increasing, which results in increase in road accidents and traffic jams. Specifically, when an emergency vehicle such as Ambulance or Fire engine gets stuck in traffic jam, saving the human life becomes difficult. Under such circumstances, a promising system which can clear the traffic congestions especially in peak hours and thereby providing a safe path for emergency vehicles is very much essential. In the existing literature, less focus is given towards the problem of providing a clear path for emergency vehicles during traffic congestions. To solve these issues, a RFID-based system is proposed, which manages and regulates the traffic signals at junctions when the emergency vehicle approaches, by allowing the easy passage out of the traffic congestions. The proposed framework is modelled by means of an experimental setup using Arduino and LED displays which simulates a real time traffic scenario. The simulation results illustrate the better performance of the proposed framework in terms of detection as well as management of emergency vehicle by providing passage out of traffic congestions during peak hours.
Road traffic congestion is the major issue in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad etc. Also, increasing population leads to increasing vehicles on road. Traffic signal jumps by other vehicles have become common in recent days. Sometimes cause road accidents. Therefore, there is a need of automated system to control traffic signal and give way to ambulance to reach destination. Internet of Things technology gives solution to have smart and intelligent traffic management system. Traffic signal operates in normal mode in the absence of ambulance service. In the presence of ambulance near the traffic signal lights, traffic signal lights turn green to give way to the ambulance service. RFID reader reads the RFID tag and update to cloud service ThingSpeak application. Meanwhile, microcontroller instructs to the traffic light signal to turn green and servo motor with barricade system to turn open. Ambulance service passes that traffic light signal. Traffic light signals shift to normal mode operation. Every traffic signal light operates in similar way to give way to clearance for ambulance service so that ambulance service reaches the destination without any delay and in time.

Intelligent Real Time Traffic Management
IJCSIS Vol 18 No. 6 June Issue, 2020
Today's traffic management system is an issue because of the increased urban population and the number of vehicles. The main reason behind today's traffic problem is that there is no emphasis on real time traffic scenario. In order to build a smart city, a traffic management system should not only consider traffic congestion but should also consider the passage of emergency vehicles, violation of traffic rules and accidents. In this project, a Real time Traffic Management System using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), along with IR Sensors and accident alert system has been proposed. The system is not only easy to implement but also highly cost effective. The proposed system is capable of controlling the signal timers based on vehicular density, provides the passage for emergency vehicles, detects red signal violations, capable of tracking vehicles and also alerts in case there is a road accident.
