USE OF ICT FOR LEARNING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Nowadays we face a totally globalized world, the system of teaching and learning of the English language still important faces challenges that require be attendant for the actors involved in this educational process; to strengthen this activity, the Technologies of the Information and Communication and the social networks have had a significate influence to motive the learning of a second language, because allow a better critical handling of the information that has available. In such a way that from the previous thing it was proposed to realize a study to know the problematic that the students of the race of International Business have when learning and to use technological tools adapted for the learning of the English language. This research was carried out under a quantitative methodology, descriptive, not experimental and transversal character; it designs an instrument ad hoc that was applied to the 74% of the students of the career of International Business of a Mexican university, who were studying third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth semester. For the interpretation of the results were realized correlations of data and was utilized the T of Student with the crossed boards to find differences between the opinion of the respondents. The results show that, the students with higher age consider that use the ICT and study out of the classroom help and motive the learning of the English language; for its part the 53% opine the they would like to practice the learned in class through electronic games; the 96% prefer watch movies, to the 87% like utilize audios and the 69% prefer utilize social networks and platforms. The above shows a tendency on the part of the students in the use of the technologies, it points out that receive classes in a physical classroom it doesn't always motivate them to learn English, nevertheless, they insure.
Language preparatory school students’ use of modern technologies to study English

Providing language students with creative and effective language learning environments so that they can gain communicative competence is of great importance. Therefore, integration of technology into language learning has become much more valuable where the target language is taught as a foreign language, allowing learners to expose themselves more to the target language and it helps create natural environments for language learning. It is clear that today's young learners are really keen on using technology. However, there is an argument going out about if there is a change in methods of teaching and learning a foreign language in terms of satisfying the needs of these "digital natives" and there is not much information about this issue at tertiary level language teaching and learning in Turkish context. Thus, the aim of this study is to address this gap and find out the most efficient and / or popular technologies used by learners to promote the development of language skills. Having this aim in mind, a small scale research was carried out among English language prep school students at a state university in Turkey. The results indicated that using modern technologies to study English is not very popular among the students and they are not aware of most of the strategies they can use. Another significant result is that the students need guiding to integrate ICT in their studies. Therefore, teachers themselves have to have the required skills to work with modern technologies to integrate ICT more into education settings.
Student-engaged Viewpoint on Technology in Learning English in Zanjan Public High Schools
—The purpose of this study was to investigate Iranian high school EFL students' viewpoint of technology in general and CALL (computer-assisted language learning) in particular on their learning process of English. In order to collect data, a quantitative research design was applied. The quantitative data was collected through a validated questionnaire, CALL attitude instrument (CALLAI). The questionnaire was distributed in two different high schools (one male and one female high school) in Zanjan. Participants were 340 high school students who filled in CALLAI questionnaire. The data of the questionnaire was analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 20. Descriptive statistics including frequencies and percentages were used to analyze questionnaire items. In addition, Independent Samples Tests were applied to measure difference of attitudes by gender. Findings revealed that high school students hold positive attitude toward computer technology use in their learning process. Additionally, it was found that gender does not influence attitude of students.
Perception of students regarding the use of ICT and learning English

The growing integration of information and communication technologies in education has involved investigating how and under what circumstances and conditions these tools support students in learning a second language. This led to exposing their perception of the use of ICT as a support for learning English. The research was carried out with a quantitative, transversal and descriptive approach. The survey was applied to 162 students enrolled in the International Business career of a Mexican public university. The results show that students perceive positively the use of technologies as support in the learning of English; are aware of how these tools can help them acquire skills to master a second language; however, they acknowledge that they have not yet managed to internalize the use of ICT, mainly those aimed exclusively at the educational process. On the other hand, they consider that platforms, such as Moodle, and some types of educational software do not favor their learning, which makes it necessary to rethink the use of these tools and turn them into a dynamic space to provide greater participation by students.

In order to maximize the utilization of the computers and courseware in teaching and learning, the perceptions of the users towards the technology should be taken into consideration. This study was designed to investigate students' and English language lecturers' perception of a courseware known as 'TELL ME MORE' regarding the implementation, as well as, the evaluation as a teaching and learning tool to support the students' learning of English language. A total of 85 semester one students of a polytechnic in Malaysia responded to a set of questionnaire consisting of 38 items using 1-4 Likert scale instrument. Semi-structured interviews with 4 English language lecturers from the same polytechnic were also conducted. Analysis showed that, students and English language lecturers indicated positive perceptions on the ease of use, usefulness and suitability of the courseware and that the courseware is an effective tool to support language learning.

The success of integrating any information and communication technology in education depends heavily on the perceptions of the teachers and the learners who use such a technology. Throughout the world there is awareness of the fundamental role of the new information and communication technologies in the field of language education and training. The present study attempts to investigate the perceptions of Bahraini Secondary Schools English Language Teachers and their students towards the use of information and communication technology for teaching and learning English. The study was carried out during the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013. A questionnaire and interview questions were used to collect data from 50 English language teachers and 200 ESL learners as well. Descriptive statistical techniques were used to analyze the questionnaire data, while interview questions were thematically analyzed. Results obtained from quantitative and qualitative data related to English teachers’ perceptions about integrating technology in their classes, barriers that teachers face in integrating new technologies in teaching English language, and their students’ usages of technology were reported. Also, the data about ESL students’ perceptions and attitudes towards applying information and instructional technology in their language classes were explored and revealed. This paper concluded with recommendations to facilitate the use of information and communication technology in teaching and learning English language in Bahrain Kingdom schools.
“Use of Technology in English Language Learning on Tertiary levels students of Bangladesh”
This paper has shown how we can coordinate modern technology with the language learning. Few years back students did not find any interest in the way they were taught. But after the advent of technology the scenario has changed radically. Now the students can submit their assignment through internet, they can find suitable article, documents for learning English as well. This study encompassed the different sorts of devices which are used by the learners. Through this study I have also tried to find out the role of technology in English language learning and how much it is effective. The research has conducted on some tertiary levels students of Bangladesh by giving them some questionnaire. It has also cover the prevailing problems using it in the field of language and how we could make our way of learning more developed with the help of the technology.

In recent years, new technologies have been used widely for different purposes. One of these purposes is teaching and learning. Due to this widespread use of such technologies, the researchers conducted this research study to investigate the impact of using new technologies on students' learning achievements at the University of Halabja department of English language in the academic year (2017- 2018). To achieve this aim, the researchers provided a theoretical background about new technologies and their impact on students' learning achievements. Then, designed a questionnaire to determine the range of the use of new technologies by the students of English language department at the University of Halabja and the impact of such technologies on their learning achievements. Finally, they analyzed and discussed the results of this questionnaire, drew certain conclusions and made relevant recommendations.

The pedagogies of English teaching are rapidly changing due to the advancement of information and communication technology (ICT).
