Art is multilingual, multidimensional, and multicultural. The special characters that art possesses are aesthetic, expressive, and creative all of which are integral parts of each other. The teaching of arts in elementary school is left to class teachers who are generally very limited in terms of their cognitive, affective, or psychomotoric aspects. It allows the gap in arts education in elementary school so it is necessary to research how the implementation of music arts learning in elementary school is.This research uses qualitative method with descriptive analytical procedures. The main data sources of this study were elementary school teachers while the supporting data sources were students and principal. The data collection techniques include observations, interviews, and documentary studies. The data were tested for their validity with the triangulation technique. The data analysis techniques included interactive analysis models. The results of study which was located in apublic elementary school and two private elementary schools showthe tendency of certain grouping pattern in the learning processes. The background, interest, and arts potential are the factors that influence the grouping. The integrative thematic approach in arts learning can cause the teacher to become less focused, the frequency of meetings is not constant, and material staging is rather difficult to do. In general, the learning processes were generally textbook oriented.
The Development of Music Teaching Material in Cultural Art Subject for Primary School Students

Primary school in Indonesia makes cultural art as one of compulsary subject in Indonesia, with music as one of the sub-material contained in it. Even when the primary school curriculum is changed from the original 2013 curriculum to the latest version of 2013 curriculum revised in 2016; and the subject teaching pattern is made into thematic curriculum, however, music remains to be implemented as one of the educational medium. This study aims at finding out how the teaching materials of cultural art subject which contain music as one of the sub-material subject for students in primary school are developed by the teachers. The method implemented in this study was qualitative, while the research location were both in the city and region of Semarang, Indonesia. The data was collected through observation, interview, and documentation study. The data was then validated by using data triangulation. The data anlysis technique employed was interactive analysis. Results showed that the teaching material of music as one of sub-material in cultural art subject was developed individually by teachers. One of the most frequent technique done teachers was by replacing the lyrics of the existing songs. The lyric was replaced by the materials which were going to be taught to students. It is concluded that the development of music teaching material in primary school tends to emphasis on the development of song lyrics. Teachers replace the lyric of songs of certain familiar songs into the educational message and teaching materials that they want to deliver. It is suggested that new song creations containing educational messages as written in primary school"s thematic curriculum are needed.
From students' musicianship to their creative expressions
In the Croatian compulsory school teaching music is performed in all eight grades by one hour per week. The most common activities in regular class are singing, listening to music, playing instrument while the creative activity, mostly in the form of music making, is rarely carried out. The intention of the author is to describe in which way the students' musicianship (singing and playing) is implemented in Croatian schools and with which educational goals. As the author implies the close relationship of those activities with creativity, didactical methods for encouraging creativity after the realization of vocal and instrumental activities are going to be proposed in this paper. Besides regular music lessons, the attention is also given to the extracurricular music activities, in which the possibility of obtaining better creative students' results is even more.

Developing Creative Mind Through Music Education at Teacher's Training Institute Malaysia

This study is carried out to explore creativity, leadership and personality of a teacher in a better value as well as lessons in helping the implementation element of unity through a musical performance at the Institute of Teacher Education Campus Ipoh. This study uses quantitative methods. To ensure the reliability and validity of this study, a questionnaire containing Likert scale in the form of questions are used. User model of creativity Graham Wallas (1926), Joy Paul Guilford (1949), and E. Paul Torrance (1974) are also in the application. The study samples consist from 2009 sixth semester music elective students. Sample selections are based on Malays, Chinese, Indians, Sabah and Sarawak ethnics. Auditorium of State Culture and Arts is chosen as the location of the study. Data are based on musical performances session proposals, appointment of committee sessions, and training sessions through the appointed head of the presentation. The study showed that the musical performance by the trainee teachers was accentuated by aspects of creativity, personality, and leadership development.
Creativity of Elementary School 1 Pekanbaru Teachers in Learning Cultural Arts and Craft (SBDP)

This study employed a qualitative research method and a descriptive approach to data collection. The mural decorations and the teachers in the school served as the study's subjects, while the study's objects included the subject matter of the mural decorations, the shape of the symbol, the color, and the composition of the mural art. The research and interviews were conducted in classrooms I through VI of SDN 1 Pekanbaru, which totaled 15 classes; of these, a sample of three classes was taken. Observational methods, in-depth interviews, and visual documentation all contributed to the collection of research data. Methods of qualitative and descriptive analysis were utilized in the study of the data. The findings revealed that the appreciation of mural art was due to the creativity of the teacher in terms of shape, color, line, illustration, and the theme that was raised. Specifically, the following was the theme that was raised: first, a teacher at SDN 1 Pekanbaru characterized a simple form of the elements of natural balance as a mural object. One of them is about the image of freshness and coolness given by nature, and the importance of preserving the surrounding natural environment, such as in the mural "Come on, Preserve Nature", which is on the wall decoration for class VI-B, and the mural art for class VB is entitled "Let's Respect and Appreciate Each other's Mural Art.

Music Enhancing Young Learner’s Creativity

This research emphasizes on elaborating the feasibility of the media of the bandwagon educational game on the creativity of children aged 5-6 years. To obtain the research objectives, this researcher conducted research and development using the 4D model developed by Thiagarajan, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The subjects in this research trial were five children aged 5-6 years and 30 ECE teachers. The data collection instrument used a structured interview technique and an online questionnaire through a google form accompanied by a video of the implementation of the bandwagon educational game. The data analysis technique used quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. From this research, it shows that the development of the bandwagon educational game tool that has been tested on a small scale is valid and feasible. This shows that this bandwagon game is effective and can be applied and has an appeal for early childhood in learning.
The problem in this study was the low musical art of children in Padang State Kindergarten II. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in the expression of poetry of songs and stories, to sing songs with percussion media, to sing while playing percussion media. This type of research is classroom action research, the subjects in this study were B1 groups aged 5-6 years as many as 20 students. Data collection techniques in this study used the format of observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques are processed using percentage techniques. The results showed that children's musical art ability in expressing songs and stories through percussion accompaniment, singing songs accompanied by percussion music and singing while playing percussion music increased from the initial conditions, cycle I and cycle II. In an effort to improve children's artistic abilities, it is expected that teachers are more creative to be able to use various media to improve children's artistic abilities. 1) the use of percussion media can improve children's musical art abilities in expressing song lyrics and stories through percussion accompaniment seen from the average values in each's statement increases every meeting, 2) the use of percussion media can improve the ability of children's music in singing songs accompanied by percussion media, 3) the use of percussion media can improve children's musical art ability to sing while playing percussion music seen from the average value of each each statement increased.
