Abstract
The objective of the research is to analyze evidences of productive restructuring and deindustrialization processes in the state of Sao Paulo between 1999 and 2012. We collected the statistical data of the state of Sao Paulo and developed an econometric model was also used to verify the evidence of deindustrialization, using the panel data method of the 15 administrative regions of the state of Sao Paulo in the period 1999-2012. The results show that there was a productive restructuring in the Sao Paulo economy during the analyzed period and, the evidence confirmed a natural deindustrialization process in the state. Productive restructuring was characterized by an increase in the relative share of employment and the added value of the services sector and the relative decrease of the manufacturing industry.
