Abstract
The aim of this study was to assess and compareanxiety among rural and urban adolescent boys of Kashmir. Forty four urban and rural adolescent boys (n=44) who at least have played inter school sports competition were selected randomly with age ranging between 14-18 years. The data was collected by using the CSAI-2 developed by Martens, Vealey, and Burton (1990). The data was analyzed by using group statistics and independent sample test. The results of the present study revealed that there was a significant a significant difference in cognitive anxiety and self-confidence between rural and urban adolescent boys but there is no significant difference in somatic anxiety between rural and urban adolescent boys of Kashmir. The level of significance was set at 0.05.
