The Factors that Influence on Adoption of Cloud Computing for Small and Medium Enterprises
Cloud computing has emerged as one of the most discussed topics among enterprise information technology (IT) professionals. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with low budget and human resources are one of the major groups that tend to use cloud computing for achieving the benefit of this technology. A multitude of factors influence the adoption of cloud computing for SMEs. These decisive factors must be systematically evaluated prior to making the decision to adopt cloud-based solutions. The purpose of this study is to identify these factors and determine the extent to which they influence the adoption of cloud computing for SMEs. Therefore, the project describes a research model that is based on the diffusion of innovation (DOI) theory and the technology, organization and environment (TOE) framework. Based on previous study, research model was developed to test eight (8) variables, which are: relative advantage, compatibility, security concerns, cost savings, technology readiness, top manager support, competitive pressure and regulatory support. Data was collected by survey questionnaires from a sample of 22 SMEs that all of these SMEs as a customer’s of one cloud provider. There are 77 experts in information technology department from those SMEs are selected to fill the questionnaires. The Smart PLS tool was used for data analysis. The results of the data analysis generally support the model, as well as all of the proposed hypotheses. In summary, the results of this research have shown relative advantage, compatibility, security concerns, cost savings, technology readiness, top manager support, competitive pressure and regulatory support were found to have significant influence on adoption of cloud computing for SMEs.
Essential factors in cloud-computing adoption by SMEs

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) invariably leverage a country's economy. In this context, information and communication technology (ICT) improvements render cloud computing (CC) both an effective and cost-efficient platform for SMEs. Statistically, multiple factors influence SMEs in their adopting CC. In the subtext of a technology, environment and organization (TEO) framework, the purposefulness of this empirical study has been to identify the most prominent factors in the CC adoption, by SMEs in Pakistan. Data were collected through convenient and quota sampling methods from 103 SMEs. Both multiple regression and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were deployed to test the measurement model. The results show that CC adoption by SMEs is positively affected by six cogent factors, namely relative advantage, CC compatibility, managerial support, firm size, competitive pressures and regulatory support. Dynamic complexity seems, however, to have a negative effect on CC adoption by SMEs in Pakistan. Also discussed are the study's implications for SME managers and researchers.

The main objective of this study is to determine the factors influencing cloud computing adoption by Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs). Based on two dominant theories in the field of diffusion of innovation, a conceptual model is proposed. In order to test the model empirically, an online survey was designed and launched. Decision makers of 101 SMEs agreed to participate in this survey. In order to evaluate the internal, convergent, and discriminant validity of the instrument, factor analysis and reliability tests were performed. Logistic regression is employed to test our hypotheses. The results of regression reveal that decision maker's knowledge about cloud computing is the main influential factor in decision making about its adoption.

This study focuses on the organisational factors that affect the organisation's decision to adopt cloud computing. Data were collected by employing a questionnaire research design to SMEs (particularly SMEs in service sector) in Malaysia. Results indicate that of the three factors hypothesised to affect cloud computing adoption, only information technology (IT) resources were found significant. Nonetheless, there is no adequate evidence to support the importance of top management support and employee knowledge on cloud computing adoption. The findings would benefit the theory and practice. For academia, this study can serve as a useful reference for future studies in this area. For practitioners, the findings would benefit them in terms of making decision toward cloud computing adoption and formulating better strategies for cloud computing adoption.

Cloud computing has emerged as a solution for companies with limited financial capabilities. Using cloud computing gives the companies extra capabilities. Previous studies attempted to find the factors that influence the adoption of cloud computing. However, the majority has focused on technical issues of the adoption. The competitive environment of business has changed in recent time with the rapid technological transformations that have made enterprises become extremely vigilant in order to survive. Industry revolution 4.0 (I4.0) is the current emerging technological evolution in the business world. It is driven by the broadband technology in telecommunication and Cyber Physical System (CPS). One of the key enabling technology in I4.0 is cloud computing. Cloud computing has many advantages i n terms of cost reduction, accessibility, flexibility and collaborations among businesses. Given these benefits, most enterprises especially SMEs are still lagging behind in adopting cloud computing. This study conducted a literature review to ascertain and classify the most important factors influencing cloud computing adoption among SMEs. The study has categorized the factors influencing cloud computing adoption among SMEs into 4 factors; firstly is management decision, secondly, cloud application ability, thirdly, survival and lastly how it contributes to competitive advantage.
Factors affecting the adoption of cloud computing in small and medium enterprises

Cloud computing is a novel trend in the sphere of information technology. This research sought to identify the factors that could influence the adoption of cloud computing in Saudi Arabian universities, and to comprehend the theories of technology adoption that apply to the uptake of cloud computing in organisations or for individuals, and how they pertained to the study reported here. Four categories of possible influencers were investigated: technological, organisational, environmental, and cultural. This mixed-methods study was based in extended TOE theory (technology, organisation, and environment) and the Hofstede model, which includes cultural factors. To accomplish the goals of the research, an exploratory study consisting of two phases, including qualitative (interviews) and quantitative (survey) was initiated to determine the importance of each of these influencers and the degree of influence. The results revealed that the factors of relative advantage, compatibility, top management support, readiness, competitive pressure, regulatory support, high masculinity, and high individualism have positive impacts on the adoption of cloud computing in this particular context. They also showed that security concerns, high uncertainty avoidance, and high power distance have negative impacts on cloud computing adoption. Unexpectedly, the results indicated that complexity, language and religion do not influence the adoption process.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyze the influence of Technology Providers, Public Administrations and R&D Institutions on Cloud Computing adoption. This research also considers Killer Applications and Success Cases as other environmental factors. Design/methodology/approach Factorial analyses and structural equation models were used on a sample of high-technology firms located in technological parks in Southern Europe, with more than ten employees and sustained investments in R&D. Findings Results show that Technology Providers and Success Cases are determinant in Cloud Computing adoption. Moreover, Killer Applications are a forerunner for Success Cases. Practical implications An appropriate fit between the tools and resources provided by suppliers and the internal resources of the company is needed to create competitive advantages. Manufacturing sector organizations have seen an improvement in their competitiveness due to the digital economy. However, there must be a steady migration from an organization with a restricted use of Information Technology, to one in which Information Technology is commonly used for all of the different activities of the company. Based on this migration, organizations of all types can generate increases in productivity and competitiveness. This in turn contributes to advances in progress and welfare by creating more opportunities. This study proposes to advance knowledge about the implementation of cloud technology so that an organization can become more competitive. The current technology available for improving competitiveness in all areas of a company by exploiting data, providing services and for the use of resources, is cloud computing. This novel technology will be investigated and the findings will be used to describe the state of this technology in our country at the moment. It will also show how the complexity of these systems and the attitudes of the organizations and people involved, depending on the size of the organization and its management style, influence the adoption of cloud computing systems.
