This study aims to take a closer look at the five-year political event specifically for the election of the Governor and Deputy Governor, Regent and Deputy Regent, as well as Mayor and Deputy Mayor in 2020 which was held during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study compares the level of voter participation in the post-conflict local election in 270 regions in Indonesia before the COVID-19 pandemic, to be precise in 2015 and the post-conflict local election when COVID-19 hit Indonesia, namely 2020. The study uses descriptive qualitative methods with secondary data obtained from official government institutions (KPU). , Bawaslu), mass media, both newspapers and other social media, as well as the results of research conducted by other researchers.
