Abstract
Throughout the history of mankind, education has had different educational proposals in order to improve its practice. Some of these proposals involve the student in a real social context that admit the teachers’ practice to change the pedagogical process in order to achieve a more humanist education. Thus, alternative pedagogies are a combination of innovative strategies that open the way for positions based on educational trends that claim to update pedagogical fields. Our interest is to show an approach to the definition of these proposals that are presented as alternative pedagogical models used in a traditional school.
