The article examines the image of Yugoslavia in the press of the USSR in the second half of the 1960s and its perception by Soviet citizens. The article analyzes the influence of the international situation and, in particular, the processes within the socialist system on the presentation of Yugoslavia. The main sources are the publications of Central and regional Newspapers (“Pravda”, “Literaturnaya Gazeta”, “Sovetskaya Rossiya”, “Trud”, “Uralsky rabоchiy”, “Na smеnu!"), as well as materials of regional archives.
