Drug Abuse and Relapse Prevention Mechanisms: A Phenomenological Study on The Lived Experiences of Former Drug Users in Yogyakarta Indonesia

The relapse of drug abuse is the most difficult problem that former drug users must face. This problem will continue to exist Until the moment when the drug users are able to stop consuming the drugs. The process of recovery is a process which the drug users take as their efforts to stop consuming drugs and this process could be affected by many factors. The study aims to explore former drug abuse users’ experiences in an attempt to stop consuming drugs and relapse prevention. Qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach was used in this study. Eight former drug users in Yogyakarta were involved as the participants. The data was collected through in-depth interviews within 60-90 minutes for each participant. The data analysis used was the Collaizi seven stages method. BACKGROUND: In the last three decades, there has been a significant increase in risky behavior among adolescents in various countries, including Indonesia. They tend to get involved in potentially harmful activities and are at a greater risk of this behavior than other age groups. AIM: This study aims to provide information about preventing drug use in early adolescents in Palu City. METHODS: This qualitative study was carried out in Palu City between July and October 2021 using a phenomenological approach, with 7 informants that were selected using a purposive method. Substance Use among Muslim Students in Aceh, Indonesia

Background: Illicit substance use is a serious social problem faced by adolescents worldwide, including adolescents in Aceh and has many negative consequences. In addition, illicit substance use does not fit with the values of Islamic teaching, and is strictly prohibited in Islam. Purpose: The aims of this paper are to determine the prevalence of illicit substance use, the stages of substance use, and types of substance used among Muslim students in senior high schools in Aceh, Indonesia. Method: Four hundred and twenty six students who met the inclusion criteria were recruited from four senior high schools in Banda Aceh by using simple random sampling, and of these, 290 returned a completed questionnaire. Drug abuse is a way of straying alienated from society. Every drug addict who completes the rehabilitation period still avoids rejection of the insurance he has and has an impact on others as his social environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the application of pedagogical concepts in the application of self-concept of children who use drugs in the Pondok Ar-Rahman Islamic Boarding School in Palembang. This type of research is qualitative with a case study. The informants of this study were students of former drug users, teachers and students. Data collected using observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed using case study data analysis. The results showed the self-concept factors of ex-drug user students felt a sense of approval and were easily fooled by friends. Regret and desire to improve themselves create an image supported by the support, family, and teachers. What is contrary to self-concept is a matter of learning, the feeling of fear of being bullied and not yet free from feelings of guilt. Positive selfconcept of students is also supported by approval, motivation, and acceptance of assistance and school attendance to self-actualize through religious discussions, a strong willingness to overcome memories of his past through positive activities of performing five daily prayers, reciting, listening to lectures, and exercise and take part in sports extracurriculars at school.

Exploration of risk factors by applying respectful model among drug addicts of malay ethnic

The purpose of this research is to explore the risk factors by applying respectful Model among drug addicts of Malay ethnic in Sarawak, Malaysia. Data and information were gathered from 3 participants from CCSC, Kuching. Qualitative research methodology is used in this research and the data were collected by using group counselling sessions and audio recorded. The data were analyzed using content analysis from the group counselling sessions and applying respectful Model to achieve final results. The findings have shown that there were risk factors that affect the drug addicts based on domain from respectful Model, Psychological maturity and personal style (P), location of residences (L) and family background (F). Another factor that affects drug addiction is peer pressure. The study contributes to the existing pool of knowledge to the pattern of drug addictions in Malaysia. AFFECTING FACTORS ENHANCING DRUG ABUSE IN INDONESIA

This study discusses the affecting factors enhancing drug abuse in Indonesia. Drug abuse isn't only reach out adults but also children. It then attempts to explain what affecting factors enhancing drug abuse in Indonesia in two aspects culture, law inforcement and health. Besides it then attempts to propose a holistics strategy to decrease drug abuse in Indonesia. Indonesia has a largest population in the world is potential market for cigarette and drug company. Based on data Badan anti Narkoba Nasional in 2011 the number of drug users in Indonesia has around 3.81 million, and this number will continue increase if the mass of awareness is not immediately performed. To decrease drug abuse in Indonesia government and the entire community must come together and make a complete and comprehensive effort that includes the fields of culture, law enforcement and health.

Introduction and Aim. Further gains in the prevention of drug abuse disorders require in-depth and holistic understanding of the risk factors of addiction from different perspectives. Lay persons and experts have different concepts of risk which could complement each other. The purpose of this study was to elaborate drug abuse risk factors through the story of individuals who had become drug dependent. Design and Methods. In this qualitative research, 33 individuals attending treatment centres for drug abuse were interviewed about the story of their addiction in Kerman, Iran. Interview questions were around the story of the participants. Results. All participants were male and in the age range of 18-40 years.
