Employee Engagement: A Review Paper on Factors Afecting Employee Engagement
Background/Objectives:The objective of this article is to clarify what is meant by employee engagement and why it is important (particularly with respect to its effect on employee retention and performance), as well as to identify factors that are critical to its effective implementation.Methods/Statistical Analysis: For this study, researchers have used review method. Under the process of review around thirty academic and popular research papers/ literature in the area of employee engagement, researchers have come up with different factors which are mostly commonly mentioned in these research papers. The review process aims at strengthening existing literature. After studying all the factors in each research paper, authors have taken the findings.Findings:In this research paper, various factors have been discussed of engagements which are at macro i.e. at organisational level and micro level i.e. at individual level. These variations in factors may arise due to differences in individual and job characteristics, gender diversity; ethnic diversity etc. Suggestions presented in this paper include different employee engagement approaches for new employees like strong induction programs, rigorous training and development programme, certification programme and giving them a realistic job preview. The findings of this study will be useful to any organisation, irrespective of the type of business, to construct strong employee engagement policy with mix of all these factors of employee engagement. Managers can redesign the work and policy on the basis of the factors presented in this paper would lead to happy workforce. This article will be ofvalue to anyone seeking better understanding in employee engagement to improve organisation performance.Applications/Improvements:Study results has scope offuture reference where by implementing various engagement factors and there by reduction in employee turnover and improved productivity

Employee engagement is one of the important drivers for successful organizations. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the factors affecting employee engagement at macro level, i.e., organizational-related factors, personal-related factors, teamrelated factors & job-related factors. By reviewing various literature studies, the researcher found that theses all factors influencing the employees for higher level of engagement in organizations. Thus, leads to better employee performance & productivity and reducing the turnover intention. This paper suggesting that organizations must frequently check the employee performance management so as that they would able to find; in which factor that influencing the employees for low engagement. Facets of Employee Engagement -A Literature Review
Motivated and engaged employees tend to contribute more in terms of organizational productivity and support in maintaining a higher commitment level leading to the higher customer satisfaction. Employee engagement is the level of commitment and involvement an employee has towards their organization and its values. An engaged employee is aware of business context, and works with colleagues to improve performance within the job for the benefit of the organization. It is a positive attitude held by the employees towards the organization and its values. The paper focuses on various dimensions of employee engagement with its definitions and the various frameworks. The present paper aims to understand the basic concept of employee engagement and to study the different dimensions of employee engagement with the help of review of literature. This paper is based upon review of literature and secondary data collected from various websites, journals, magazines, newspapers and reference books. Literature review has shown prior research work done in this area.

Employees are the most important resource for any organisation, the more important point is that where engaged employees are assets for an organisation while unengaged employees prove to be a burden or liability for it. So Employee Engagement is playing an important role from last 30 or more years in dealing with HR issues. The main objective is to study the concept of Employee engagement in detail and also discuss factors that are affected by engagement and that through which engagement is affected. The researcher will identify various components of Employee Engagement and its importance for the organisation. Benefits of engagement are also discussed. The methodology use by the author is qualitative and various secondary sources of collecting data like papers from various Journals are collected and only selected papers are used for collecting information. The major findings is engagement of employees results in better growth , prosperity of the organisation and engaged employees are more satisfied, healthy and productive employees. As competition increased employers recognized the prominence of employee to retain and grow in the knowledge economy. The purpose of the article is to give a conceptual framework of employee engagement with regard service industry. As well as to highlight the numerous aspects that drive employee engagement. The article is completely based on review of past literature on employee engagement. A framework was designed bearing in mind employee's engagement with the task, with team and with the company related variables. Employee involvement as depicted in this study is ideally suited for usage in the organization. Further empirical study should be take on to determine the effect of the suggested framework.
A study on impact of selected factors on employee engagement
The importance of employee engagement had been explained in this paper. A structured questionnaire has been used for primary data collection and employees from different organizations have participated in survey. Employee engagement is perceived as an independent activity and it not influenced by factors like job engagement, emotional engagement and cognitive engagement.

An Exploratory Study on Employee Engagement and its Impact on Organizational Performance I
Employee Engagement has appeared on the management scene in a big way fairly recently. Employee engagement is the sum total of the work place behavior demonstrated by the people. Such behavior is characterized by, belief in organization, Drive to work to make things better, understanding of business context, Respect and support for others & Desire to learn new skills. The level of employee engagement affects key results such as sales, customer satisfaction, and innovation and employee turnover. An engaged workforce is capable of delivering sustained differentiation and significant competitive advantage. The present study is undertaken at manufacturing sector of Anand city, Gujarat. The aim of the study is to know the overall level of employee engagement and its impact on organizational performance. Sample covers 70 employees in the manufacturing unit, Anand, Gujarat. The findings of the present study are that organizations have often had a focus on how to generate engagement, rather than seeking objective ways to measure it. Results therefore show that there are no deeply disengaged administrative workers in the organization. They recognize that a highly engaged workforce can increase innovation, productivity, and bottom-line performance while reducing costs related to hiring and retention in highly competitive talent markets.
