Aim: The aim of this study is to assess the knowledge as well as attitude towards the COVID-19 pandemic between healthcare professional as well as pubic or non-medical staff. Method: A cross sectional study was conducted between three months January 2020 to March 2020 at different Hospitals. The data was collected by the implementing some sampling strategy and also by the questionnaire regarding knowledge, attitude as well as preventive practices in the healthcare professional, non medical workers and public. There are different statistical methods are used to determine the results such as t-test as well as ANOVA. Results: There are almost 300 people participate in this study including healthcare workers, non-healthcare workers and pubic. The results show that most of the people have a good and efficient knowledge regarding COVID-19 and their attitude is quiet positive. There are almost two third of the participants well known of the mode of transmission, treatment as well as isolation period for the person if had doubt about this virus and also apply or use different preventive measures such as wear mask when go out and to wash the hands when come home and also stay at home. Thus it is determined that there is a negative correlation between the knowledge as well as attitude scores. Conclusion: It is concluded that most of the heath workers, non-health workers and public is well known about the knowledge, attitude and done preventive practice about the COVID-19. In some participants the level of knowledge is not proper thus there is a need to provide more information by starting some campaign.

COVID 19: Knowledge, opinions and prevention among the populace

Objective: There was a lot of panic when the COVID-19 pandemic started because a lot was not known about it. However, as the disease unfolded, proven scientific universal precautions are recommended to curb its spread. Methods: This was a cross-sectional online survey of people living in Nigeria. Questionnaires were distributed to consenting participants using the SurveyMonkey and data was collected on sociodemographic knowledge of the aetiology and prevention of COVID-19. Analysis was done with the SPSS version 25. Results: Eighty-five participants with age ranging from 18 to 60 years took part in the study. The mean age was 37.35 ± 11.7years. Forty-seven (47%) had knowledge that COVID-19 infection is from a virus. 29.4% thought it is caused by biological weapons, 1.2% from 5G internet, 7.1% as government's ploy to embezzle money and 9.4% conspiracy theory from the world leaders to reduce world's population. All participants knew that hand washing is a preventive measure against the spread of COVID-19 and majority agreed to the use of sanitizers, social distancing and disinfection of surfaces. Only 30.6% agreed that wearing of facemasks will serve as a preventive measure. Over 90% of the participants agreed that dissemination of appropriate information, use of universal precautions, isolation and intensive treatment of those infected can help prevent the spread of COVID-19. 11.8% of participants knew that additional precautions are needed for aerosol generating procedures. Conclusion: The knowledge of COVID-19 aetiology is poor among the populace and the need to wear face masks as a preventive measure in curtailing the spread of COVID-19 needs to be emphasized.

COVID-19 is associate communicable disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus. It's currently a virulent disease unfold moving several countries globally. The aim of this study is to assess the knowledge and practices of COVID-19 among general public at the selected setting, Chennai. The main objective was to assess the knowledge and practice on COVID-19, correlate the knowledge with practice on COVID-19, and associate the knowledge and practice on COVID-19 with the demographic variables among the public. A Quantitative non-experimental analysis style was used to assess the knowledge and practice of COVID-19. Sixty individuals were chosen through the non-probability convenience sampling technique. The findings of the analysis disclosed that the majority (40%) of the samples had a high level of knowledge and 43.3% of them had a good practice, 33.3% of them had a moderate level of knowledge and 30% of them had moderate practice, whereas 26.7% of them had a low level of knowledge and 26.7% of them had poor practice on COVID 19.

Background: The numbers of infections and death by COVID-19 have continued to rise worldwide and preventive practice has remained to be one of the most effective ways to prevent it. We conducted this study to survey the knowledge, attitude, perception and practice of university students during the early stage of the pandemic in Bangladesh. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with 305 students from Rajshahi University, conducted between March 11 and March 19, 2020. We developed a questionnaire for collecting information regarding COVID-19 following the instructions and guidelines of WHO and used frequency distribution, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis (non-parametric) tests for data analysis. The pandemic of coronavirus is one that has become the talk of the world nowadays. It has impacted the public health and national emergency concern. Preventive measures such as lockdown have been imposed by the government nationwide. The lockdown period has brought with itself traumatic stress, confusion, anger, economic loss, changing of schedules, difficulty in sleeping and eating, etc. Nervousness, fear of contamination, panic attacks etc are some other ramifications. Some are using this period to use the lockdown constructively by spending time with family and friends, learning new skills, concentrating on self improvement, etc. A survey questionnaire of 15 questions was prepared on a survey platform and distributed among 100 people randomly, to analyse the perception of people towards the lockdown and pandemic. Statistical analysis was done using the SPSS software version 20.0. Descriptive statistics were expressed by means of frequency and percentage. Chi-square test were used to find the association between the variables. COVID-19 has led to strict lockdown and avoidance of crowds by people.

Coronavirus disease 19 is currently a global health threat. Viral spread prevention is essential as a feasible intervention strategy. The aim of this study was to determine the level of community knowledge, attitude, and perception towards Covid-19 in Aceh province. An electronic questionnaire was shared with 1,058 participants in the Covid-19 seminars organized by IMANI-PROKAMI Aceh Chapter (Islamic Medical Association and Network of Indonesia - Perhimpunan Profesi Kesehatan Muslim Indonesia), which were held between August 30th to Sept 20th, 2020. The questionnaire collected demographic data as well as data related to knowledge, perception, and attitude towards Covid-19 prevention. Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of People Towards COVID-19 in Benadir Region of Somalia: A Cross-Sectional Study

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) become the worst emergency respiratory disease in 2020 after the outbreak in Wuhan city of China in December 2019. Hence, this study was designed to assess knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) towards COVID-19 among the population in Benadir region of Somalia. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional study, using stratified random sampling from August to November 2020 with 420 participants to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) towards COVID-19, among the population in Benadir region of Somalia. Results: The Knowledge of study participants are good and have a clear concept of COVID-19 pandemic (when, where, and how it occurs and transmit), In terms of transmission 85% of participants were knowledgeable about COVID 19 can be transmitted via close contact. The attitude of participants (61.2%) of study participants believe that gathering or overcrowding in public places can easily spread COVID-19 and will be the serious threat to public health. In terms of preventing COVID-19 spread, maximum number of participants were agreed with closing of school will be an effective way while they were disagreed with the night curfew. In terms of overcome from this pandemic, surprisingly only 14% of participants agree that Somali government could win the battle. Practices of the study participants were high, 86.4% wore mask before leaving home and 67.7% cover their nose and mouth while coughing or sneezing with the elbow or a tissue but social distances were seen very poor. And also, only 43.1% of respondents follow the direction of local authorities. Conclusion: The overall knowledge, practice of participants concerning about COVID-19 were very good. To reduce the risk of the infection and to prevent, we need to follow the instruction of local health authorities and World Health Organization guidelines, wear masks, and keeping social distancing.

Are people having adequate knowledge to prevent COVID-19 pandemic? A cross-sectional study

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic is still going on around the globe and prevention of this pandemic is depend on how much people are aware regarding COVID-19 disease. The present study was conducted with an aim to determine the level of knowledge towards COVID-19 among people.Methods: Present study included cross sectional descriptive survey design which was conducted on 366 participants who visited in university during 2020. Convenient sampling technique was chosen for selection of samples. A self-structured knowledge questionnaire was used for data collection. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyse the data in SPSS.Results: Study findings revealed that there were 343 (93.7%) female participants and were students (86.3%). Main aim of this study was to access knowledge, attitude and practice to find a correlation that are people utilizing their knowledge to avoid disease spread, what about their eating habits. This paper examines the public's knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to COVID-19 and their relationships and identified the pandemic's vulnerable populations to provide recommendations for behavioral interventions and policies. This study was conducted for Pakistani residents for letting know future awareness to stop spread of diseases. Knowledge regarding vaccine SOP and diet was good in people living in urban areas.
