Food Security Management for Indonesia: The Strategy during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Food security is very important and is also prone to problems when faced with disaster situations, including diseases such as Covid-19 pandemic. The objectivity of this article is to highlight food security in relation to the availability of access to food sources so that it can meet basic or primary needs in Indonesia. An in-depth literature study with an epistemological positivism approach is needed to answer the problems that make the food crisis the main focus. To ensure food security in Indonesia, the government has prepared various strategies in three important agendas (emergency, temporary, and permanent) to monitor the stability of prices for basic necessities so that they do not skyrocket, increase national food production based on smallholder agriculture, and support small farmers. Food estate is a strategy that is compatible to be applied in a pandemic situation, where disease outbreaks are a form of non-conventional threat to national security. Indonesia's food security is an issue domestic especially in facing the Covid-19 Pandemic. The purpose of this study is to determine the Implementation Strategy of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) in Food Estate Development as National Defense in the Era ofthe Covid-19 Pandemic. The method used in this research is qualitative research with literature study method. The results of this study are the implementation of the Food estate program, the government of the Republic of Indonesia collaborates with BNI Bank to provide distribution of funds to farmers through the People's Business Credit (KUR). With low interest rates, easy terms, and payment methods through a simple scheme, KUR can provide benefits for farmers, especially to increase agricultural productivity.

The Effectiveness of Export and Import Activities on Post-Covid-19 Economic Growth in Indonesia

The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of export and import activities on post-covid-19 economic growth in Indonesia. We use a qualitative study literature method. We found that international trade is an activity carried out to meet the needs of a country in terms of goods and services that may not be produced domestically due to several factors. In international trade, the cheaper and better the quality of goods and services, the greater the export of a country. Covid-19 is certainly a risk so that it disrupts international trade which in the end will re-shape the pattern of globalization. The post-Covid-19 crisis highlighted the vulnerability of the economy which ended up being dependent, this also led to vulnerabilities in health services as well as many other sectors which were the result of falling global demand. This caused unprecedented damage to global trade.

The threat of COVID-19 succeed to release the idea of de-globalization among state, especially for economic struggling. This study aims to analyze the strategy of Indonesia economic during Covid-19 with the scheme of globalization study. The research method used is descriptive qualitative study method assisted by a simple literature study review in accordance with the material or research discussion. The scope of discussion is based on the data that limited to certain of media; the Jakarta Post, on September-October 2020 edition. By using an analytical tool, the three spectrums of globalization: hyperglobalist, sceptic globalist, and transformationalist are used to analyze the Indonesia economic strategy in the midst of COVID-19. Interestingly, this study explains that Indonesia does not follow the deglobalization agenda, but has its own strategies. The finding shows that transformationalist provides the scheme of globalization in better economic strategy to deal with economic and health problem in the midst of COVID-19. Thus, the transformationalist idea gives optimism in the midst of declining economy resilience during pandemic.

Government Policies in Increasing Post-Covid-19 Economic Growth in Indonesia

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy experienced little due to the absence of economic activities. The economic slowdown will result in a financial crisis, so the Indonesian government must immediately address the problem. This study will carry out the economic process in Indonesia after the outbreak to achieve financial balance. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data is obtained through secondary data such as social media, mass media, and data issued by the government for analysis using variables and indicators from previous theories. The study was carried out using the triangulation technique and data analysis software, namely, Nvivo 12 Plus data analysis. The data collection will then be reviewed based on the data analysis program and display the results in visible effects of the software. This study uses various variables in economic development, such as infrastructure, natural resources, human resources, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and digitalization. The most essential, significant efforts to increase economic development are held by infrastructure, which accounts for 86% of the total. Efforts to reduce the unemployment rate until 2022 have not been too significant.
