Realizing the Purpose of Islamic Education Through Boarding School Management

This research aims to determine the implementation of boarding school management to realize Islamic education purpose in one of the boarding schools, namely Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta. The research method used is field research with a qualitative type based on data collection techniques in interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed a substantial relationship between boarding school management and national education goals in general and the goals of Islamic education in particular. There are efforts to achieve the four dimensions of Islamic education goals. First, Physical education discusses Fiqh and ushul fiqh lessons. Second, spiritual education with Islamic practices such as fasting Monday Thursday. Third, through religious studies, academic education is based on arguments and history of mujtahid priests such as Imam Maliki, Imam Shafi'i, Imam Hanafi, and Imam Hambali. This article describes the management of Islamic boarding school students in the context of School Based Management (SBM). This study uses a qualitative research approach with a single case study method. Daarul Rahman Islamic Boarding School was chosen as a place of research because it is the oldest Islamic boarding school in Jakarta. This research data collection technique uses observation, interviews and documentation studies. Interviews were conducted with the Boarding School Board of Trustees, Principals, Teachers, students and graduated. This study aims to describe and analyze the management of students covering aspects of recruitment, coaching, development, special services, and evaluation. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The researchers conducted the study at the Rasyidiyah Khalidiyah Putra and Putri Islamic Boarding School in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. The researchers collected the data by observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed by snowball sampling technique. The results showed: Recruitment of new students at Islamic Boarding Schools by distributing registration information brochures through websites, social and electronic media and alumni channels. There are two ways to register, namely online and manual. The selection goes through two sections, namely: the ability to religious knowledge and general knowledge and the ability to read the Qur'an. The criteria for being a santri can read the Qur'an, have a formal education certificate; Coaching is done through formal learning and extracurricular learning; Development includes interests, talents, abilities and achievements of students; Special services such as Mosques, Dormitory, Libraries, Guidance and Counseling, Laboratory, Canteen, PUSKESTREN, UKS, NM/OSIS,) Extracurricular Transportation; Evaluation includes evaluation of types, tools and forms. Islamic boarding schools should integrate technology in learning activities because technology is essential as a provision for students after graduation.
The Implementation of School-Based Management in Islamic Elementary Schools

This study aims at determining to what extent the implementation of school-based management in Islamic elementary schools. The method applied in this study was descriptive qualitative, emphasizing the analysis of sentences, arguments, or data collected directly in the field. The approach taken by researchers was a case study. It is a series of scientific activities that are carried out regularly, structured, and comprehensively on a program, activity, or event at the individual, group, or organizational level to gain an in-depth understanding of what is being. Data in this study was collected using the triangulation technique (observation, interviews, and documentation). The results indicated that the principles of the policies imposed by the Islamic elementary schools are curriculum and teaching development, selection of teachers and teaching staff, student management, support for facilities and infrastructure, adequate financing, parent-school relations, and the realization of comfortable school culture & environment. The implementation of school-based management in Islamic elementary schools proves the improvement in quality and brilliant achievements of educational sectors at national and international levels.

Islamic Education Management Based on Curriculum Atsma Muhammadiyah 4mariso in City of Makassar
This study aimed to explain the subject matter discussed, among others: (1) Applying the Islamic education management based on the curriculum at Senior High School Muhammadiyah4; (2) Management of the curriculum in Islamic religious education teaching program in SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Mariso; (3) application integration model KTSP, KBK, and Curriculum 2013 in SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Mariso Districts Mariso Makassar. The research method used was descriptive, to describe the social phenomena associated with th e implementation of Islamic education management. Analysis of the data used to assess the data and information obtained is qualitative. Our research found that management implementation of Islamic education based curriculum at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Mariso still refer to the Competency Based Curriculum (KBK) and the Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP), the principles that should be concerned, among others: (a) objectives to be achieved should be clear, the operational goals, the more easily visible and more appropriate programs are developed to achieve the goal; (B) learning programs should be simple and flexible; (C) a program conceived and developed in accordance with the objectives set; (D) the developed program is comprehensive, clear and sustainable; (E) there must be coordination between the components of the program managers at SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Mariso, Makassar City.

This paper aims at exploring the values which become the basis for management practice at Gontor. The preliminary observation finds that Gontor management does not follow the mainstream management theory. It has a unique management system, and oftentimes been considered to be not standard. However, Gontor exists and gradually develops with its own unique management system. The study suggests that Gontor has its own standards which are mainly based on Islamic values. Indeed, there are a lot of values, but basically they can be simplified into the five spirits of Pondok Pesantren namely sincerity, simplicity, self reliance, Islamic brotherhood, and freedom. Each one of these spirits becomes a standard of excellence for Gontor management. Hence, vision, long term plans, organization, leadership style, and controlling are designed and practiced based on them. This study aims to explore strategic management of Islamic Boarding Scholl in order to cultivate educational quality. The present study employed a qualitative study by using descriptive analytical approach. Two Islamic boarding schools were selected as the research sites namely Sabilunnajat and Al-Ulfah Islamic boarding schools, Ciamis Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The findings revealed that these two Islamic boarding schools were deemed capable to survive in a fairly tight competition. Moreover, there were several strategic steps undertaken by these two Islamic boarding schools to survive and contribute to the society. This alteration attempt is a conceptualization of Islamic boarding school management system referred to, in other words, as management strategy.
