Survey on Swarm Based Intelligence Algorithm in Data Mining (original) (raw)

Data Mining is used to extract useful information from a collection of databases or data warehouses. In recent years, Data Mining has become an important field. Nature inspired algorithms are meta heuristics that mimics the nature for solving optimization problems opening a new era in computation. Swarm intelligence is an emerging area in the field of optimization and researchers have developed various algorithms by modeling the behaviors of different swarm of animals and insects such as ants, termites, bees, birds, fishes. Swarm intelligence is the collective-level, problem-solving behavior of groups of relatively simple agents wherein local interactions among agents, is either direct or indirect through the environment.
