Hipertensi menurut data WHO tahun 2015 menunjukkan sekitar 1,13 miliar orang di dunia menderita hipertensi, yang berarti setiap 1 dari 3 orang di dunia terdiagnosis menderita hipertensi. Jumlah penderita hipertensi di dunia terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Diperkirakan pada 2025 akan ada 1,5 miliar orang yang terkena hipertensi serta setiap tahun ada 9,4 juta orang meninggal akibat hipertensi dan komplikasi. Kejadian hipertensi lebih banyak diderita pada pralansia dan lansia dibandingkan dengan kelompok umur yang lebih muda. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan pola konsumsi garam dengan kejadian hipertensi pada lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Gadingrejo. ABSTRACTOne of the risk factors for hypertension is diet. Some of the risky food eating behaviors that cause hypertension are frequent eating salty foods, often eating sweet foods and often eating fatty foods. The condition of the risky food behavior in the elderly community increased its percentage from 2007 to 2013, only the behavior of eating sweet foods decreased 9.4%, while the eating behavior increased sharply by 1.7%. Hypertension is a non-communicable disease, but hypertension is suffered by many people, the incidence of hypertension in the elderly becomes the highest. Asia has a record of 38.4 million hypertensive sufferers in 2000 and is predicted to be 67.4 million by 2025, while in Indonesia it reaches 17-21% of the population and most are undetectable (Muhammadun, 2010). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between eating patterns and the incidence of hypertension in the elderly atBlokseger Hamlet, Tegalsari, Banyuwangi. This was an cross-sectional study design. The sample of this study amounted to 60 elderly. This research instrument uses questionnaires and measurement of hypertension using a spigmomanometer and stethoscope blood pressure measuring instrument. The analytical method used is Person Chisquare. The results of this study are p = Value of P = 0,000 <0,05%. The conclusion of this study is that a significant relationship between diet and the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. The advice that can be given to the elderly of Blokseger hamlet is to manage a good diet, to the local health service center is to make a regular extension program on maintaining good pollutants starting from the beginning.

WHO (2016) states that one in three adults worldwide has high blood pressure and this increase occurs with age, from one in ten people in their 20s and 30s to five in ten people in their 50s. Hypertension is a blood pressure above normal where there is a disturbance in bloodvessels resulting in supplying oxygen and nutrients carried by the blood obstructed to thebody tissues that need it. Data World Health Organization (WHO) 2012 states hypertensionaccounted for 51% of deaths from stroke and 45% of deaths from coronary heart disease.Data from Riskesdas 2015 showed that hypertension decreased from 31.7% in 2007 to 25.8%in 2015. Data wascollected through interviews and questionnaires given to the respondents, then the data wereanalyzed with Univariat and Bivariat.The result of this research is 93 respondents have 49 respondents (82,7%) havehypertension, 46 respondent (49,5%) have bad diet pattern, 41 responden (44,1%) smoker.There was a correlation between dietary pattern and hypertension with p = 0,000 (p≤0,005),and there was correlation between smoking status and hypertension with p = 0,040 (p≤0,005).In conclusion, more than half of respondents had hypertension and less than half hadpoor diet and smokers. ABSTRAK Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyumbang terbesar penyebab kematian di dunia dan menjadi masalah kesehatan public utama di seluruh dunia. Peningkatan hipertensi dalam lima tahun terakhir sebesar 8,3% harus menjadi perhatian khusus pemerintah dalam mengatasi angka hipertensi. Salah satu faktor resiko yang harus diubah pada hipertensi adalah perilaku dan gaya hidup, mulai dari pola makan yang tidak sehat sampai kurangnya aktivitas olahraga serta persepsi individu yang keliru terhadap penyakit hipertensi. Beberapa faktor resiko diduga memiliki peran dalam terjadinya hipertensi seperti gaya hidup, pola makan dan usia. Hipertensi merupakan salah satu faktor resiko penyebab terjadinya penyakit kardiovaskuler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan gaya hidup dan pola makan dengan kejadian hipertensi pada lansia. Penelitian cross sectional ini diikuti oleh 74 responden dengan cara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian in mendapatkan proporsi lansia yang mengalami hipertensi sebesar 26,4%. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji chisquare dan analisis multivariat dengan regresi logistik ganda. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan ada hubungan antara aktivitas fisik (p=0,024 OR=3,596), asupan lemak (p=0,008 OR=4,364), dan asupan natrium (p=0,001OR=6,103) dengan kejadian hipertensi. Analisis multivariat menunjukkan asupan natrium (OR Exp(B)=4,627)sebagai faktor resiko yang paling berhubungan dengan kejadian hipertensi. Kata Kunci: Hipertensi, Gaya Hidup, Pola Makan
