PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company that is engaged in building goods from wood, there are 2 types of products produced by Turning and Handrail. Turning is the mainstay of the company because the product is very popular in sales both locally and in exports. The problems that are often experienced by PT. XYZ is a lack of raw material availability in the turning product production process so that the impact that occurs is delays in the delivery of goods. Master production schedule is a method that describes an overview of the system to be produced, both the quantity of time and the goods to be delivered. Material requirement planning is a method used to learn about inventory management functions to control and plan using demand data. This research was conducted to determine the use of the material requirment planning method by comparing the 2 lots so as to produce the optimum lot value. From the research results, it was found that the lot for lot resulted in the optimum inventory cost value of Rp. 1,170,000.00 per unit while the value of the lot economic order quantity is Rp. 2,889,560.91 per unit.
