To use forklift, it requires one spot guide to guide a forklift driver because of less visibility. This paper discusses how to integrate Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology into a forklift truck to make it wireless to increase visibility and human safety. It has been seen that forklift equipment is widely used in many industries for different applications such as lifting, safe delivery of material such as huge boxes, Raw materials, Cylindrical sections etc. are widely used Forklift equipment. It consist of Lead screw & Nut arrangement. The forklift equipment is compact in size can be alternative for themanual lifting. Small scale industries can’t afford the huge & costly material handling equipment so we are designing and manufacturing Forklift equipment for small scale industries.
Design of an Autonomous Forklift Using Kinect

Material handling is a necessary, but expensive activity in factories. Autonomous robot technology can help reduce the cost and relax humans from the exhaustive job of driving forklifts. In this paper, we describe the mechatronics design and implementation of an autonomous forklift. The robot can perceive the 3D dynamic world and can plan its motion autonomously to lift materials from a source to target locations. Dynamic map of the world is built using data from a Microsoft Kinect head and readings from wheel encoders, thus enabling the robot to avoid obstacles and reach target locations safely. Experiments showed success of the robot to move and load the cargo to target locations.
Design and Analysis of a Remotely Operated Mini Forklift Bot

This work is concerned with the design, analysis and programming of a scaled down version of an electric forklift robot. An advantageous consequence of this device is the development of space saving storage units that allow for efficient packing of lighter goods into areas that while not built for human movement, allow ample space for movement of our forkliftt bot. This is especially important in cases where each cubic meter of the storage unit is valuable, for example, refrigerated goods storage units. Each part of the robot was either carefully selected or designed from scratch in the pursuit of maximizing the load bearing capacity to design-weight ratio. As such, structural analysis was conducted for each part using the Ansys Workbench simulation package. Trajectory generation of an unmanned forklift for autonomous operation in material handling system

In this paper, a trajectory generation algorithm for the development of an unmanned autonomous forklift is discussed. A kinematic model of the forklift with a spin-turn steering mechanism in the inertial frame is described first, and then the model is transformed to a chained form. A polynomial control input for the trajectory generation of the unmanned forklift is derived based on the obtained chained form model. The effectiveness of the proposed trajectory generation algorithm is examined through simulations of trajectory generation of the unmanned forklift between two arbitrary configurations.

The Battery Operated fork lift is an improved version of lifting and carrying the load which needs to be transferred from one place to another. This advanced technology has brought a new revolution in the mechanical industries and most commonly used in heavy Engineering companies. These forklift vehicles had revolutionized ware-housing practices used in the middle of the 20th century. For a long time, semi-automatic type of material handing systems being used. In semi automatic material handling, the system was manually controlled. The design of forklift has revolutionized warehouse work and it is practicable for one person to move hundreds of kilograms at once. These well maintained and safely operated forklift has made lifting and transporting cargo items very easily. The main purpose of this paper is to design and fabricate a forklift machine which is new and different from existing designs. This designed forklift uses a rechargeable battery which means it is powered completely by electricity. From the design of forklift, it can be concluded that this machine is capable of lifting a load of 100 Kgs. The findings of this research show that the designed machine can be used in small scale industries.
Design and Fabrication of Three Wheeler Drive Forklift for Industrial Warehouses
–-Mechanical forklift is an improved and advance technology that helps brought about revolution in the mechanical industries today all heavy engineering company uses it. Widespread use of the forklift truck had revolutionized warehousing practices before the middle of the 20th century. A mixture of material handling systems is in the use, exact from that entirely physical to the ones that are semi-automatic but manually controlled. Forklifts have revolutionized warehouse work. They made it possible for one person to move 100 kg at once. Well-maintained and safely operated forklifts make lifting and transporting cargo infinitely easier. This is the general description of a normal forklift truck.. In the warehouses forklifts are the most expensive machines. The study pays special attention to the travelling of these machines. Factories, industries and storage go downs need forklifts and cranes for storage and moving large goods. Also there are a number of goods weighing around 40 – 60 kg that are comparatively lighter but cannot be moved around easily by human labour. To fill this need we here propose a three wheel drive forklift to lift and transport such medium weight goods across factories & industrial warehouses. The three wheel drive is a fast, efficient and low power consumption vehicle that does not require much space to move around. The mini forklift will run on a hub motor and can drive small weight with pickup arrangement across small distances easily. For this we use a mini three wheel vehicle body frame designed with a platform with motorized wheel mounts. It has a perpendicular handle ahead to hold on as well as take turns. To make the project work more realistic, much importance is given for practical orientation, therefore a prototype module is constructed for the demonstration purpose. This module simulates the real working system & based on this technology with slight changes in the structure & motor ratings, the system can be converted for real applications.

In today life there is wide of forklifts variety of forklifts from the large heavy loadings trucks to the one that works among narrow aisles forklifts have becomes one of basics transportation tools we use in our lives with all the forklifts in existence we find that there are some improvement that can be to bring forklifts to the better performance. We describe forklift powered by an electric motor instead of the IC engine using rechargeable batteries the main objective of this project is to design electrically powered forklift for material handling in industrial warehouses and workshops. Nowadays in industries, the forklift operates on an IC engine for transportation and hydraulic system for lifting and lowering of materials. Due to this mode of operation, there are many adverse environmental impacts such as emission of carbon dioxide and leakage of hydraulic fluid. Thus, this project aim to making the electric system into a forklift to make it electrically powered which lift to 1 ton kg and elevate up to 8 feet.
