Study on Adjustment Problems of Undergraduate Students in Relation to Gender

The society is drastically change with the passage of time. So, the human needs are also change day by day. As a result the human beings are facing the adjustment problem with the changing scenario of the society. As the human being cannot live without society, they always try to adjust with the society. The major objective of the study is to identify the adjustment problems of undergraduate students. Descriptive survey method of research was used for the present study. Proportionate random sampling was used for selecting the sample from the total population. Percentage and t test were use for analysis and interpretation of data. The result of the study has shown that there exists significant difference in adjustment problem between male and female undergraduate students.

Adjustment of Secondary School Students in Relation to their Gender

The present investigation in to find out the Adjustment of Secondary School Students in Relation to their gender boys and girls. The sample consisted of 120 secondary school students out of which 60 where boys and 60 where girls. For this purpose of investigation “Adjustment Inventory” by Dr.R.S.Patel was used. The obtained data were analyzed through ‘t’ test to know the mean difference between secondary school students in relation to their gender. The result shows that there is no significant difference in Home, School and Emotional adjustment of boys and girls secondary school student. But there is significant difference in Social adjustment of boys & girls secondary school students at 0.05 level. It means boys are Social adjustment better than girls

A Study of Adjustment in Relation to their Gender at higher secondary school in GHAZIABAD district

Adjustment refers to the process by which we change or cope with the demands and challenges of everyday life. Cognitive and emotional processes are involved in adjustment, but we rely upon behavioral processes and coping strategies in adapting to our environment. On the basis of analysis and interpretation of the data discussed in the forgone chapter certain conclusion about the adjustment of higher secondary students were drawn that adjustment of higher secondary school"s male and female students are more or less same. And the difference among their adjustment is by chance. On the basis of the results of this research activity oriented class and group discussion are helpful for the development of social skills. It has an implication for teachers, principal and policy planers that boys and girls belonging to rural and urban schools are being provided more or less same opportunities which inculcate same home, health, social, emotional and educational adjustment qualities.

Social Adjustment of College Students in Relation to Gender

The present investigation is to find out the difference in the social adjustment of college students with regard to their gender. The total random sample consisted 100 (50 Male and 50 Female) college students belonged from various colleges of Mehsana city. ‘Social Adjustment Inventory’ developed by R. C. Deva (1990) was administered as a tool for the study. The obtained data were analyzed by using ‘t’-Test. The result shows that there is no significant mean difference in Social Maturity and Social Adjustment of male and female college students. There is significant mean difference in Emotional Adjustment of the college students in relation to their gender.

The present study was conducted to assess the adjustment problem of male and female adolescent student at plus two level, the random technique was used to select the sample from various educational higher secondary institutions Kashmir. The total number of adolescent was 400 out of which 200 were boys and 200 were girls. The D.N. Srivastava and Govind Tiwari adjustment inventory was used for the collection of data. Statistical method -mean, S.D, t test was applied to analyze the data. The adjustment term copes with inner tensions, needs, conflicts, frustration and is simultaneously able to bring coordination between individual inner demands and those imposed by the outer world. For a student this is important for understanding his/her interest, skills, and achievement level and contribution ability in society. That is why the study is considered important to understand students in a better way. For the present study the researcher applied descriptive cum survey method. For present study researcher tooks a sample of 100 students from Nehrugram city of block Raipur of district Dehradun of Uttrakhand by implementing systematic randomization technique of sample and collected data with the help of standardized tools of creativity and adjustment and found that there was no significant difference found between the boys and girls in the level of the creativity of junior secondary government and private schools of urban and rural area.

Adjustment of Secondary School Students with Respect to Gender and Residence

The present work aims at studying the adjustment ability among secondary school students in relation to gender and residence. The sample consists of 471 class X students with 234 boys and 237 girls which were drawn randomly from different schools of Purulia districts, WB. The investigators have constructed and validate an Adjustment Inventory (AI) for school students to collect the necessary data. The study revealed that there is no significant difference between adjustments of students residing either at urban or rural area. But on the other hand the mean adjustment score of girls is higher than those from boys which indicate that the girls are better adjusted as compared to their boys counterpart.
