En el texto se analiza el fenómeno oracular andino como un saber práctico, comunitario y extático, vinculado a la comunicación con lo sagrado y a la organización sociopolítica incaica. Se establece paralelos con los oráculos griegos, destacando similitudes (como la mediación divina) y diferencias (claridad del mensaje y función normativa). La obra culmina con la figura de Huayna Cápac y sus profecías, como ejemplo de cómo el saber oracular influyó en decisiones históricas. El texto invita a valorar la sabiduría ancestral como una forma vigente de pensamiento vital y colectivo.

Entre las principales orientaciones edificadas del santuario de Pachacámac, el largo alineamiento señalado por el “Portal Norte” y la calle del ingreso principal es admirable. Esta larga alineación señalaba (circa 1500 d.C.) a la salida de α y β de Centauro. La calle del ingreso principal con recintos adyacentes habría sido un pasaje de transito con funciones ceremoniales. Estas estrellas conocidas como Llamaqñawin, están señaladas también geográficamente (a 33 km de distancia) allí donde el promontorio del cerro Pucusana toca el Océano Pacífico. Llamaqñawin son los “ojos” de la constelación oscura de la “Llama celestial”, la Yacana. En documentos etnohistóricos de la Sierra central del Perú, la llama está explícitamente relacionada a la temporada de lluvias (Guamán Poma, 1615) y como custodia del flujo del agua (Francisco de Ávila 1608). Así, esta alineación del ingreso principal al santuario, dirigida hacia los “Ojos de la Llama”, resulta ser un llamado de atención sobre el elemento por el cual fluye toda la vida: el agua.

Five temples of Apollo on Mainland Greece and Ancient Ionia (Asia Minor), namely Delphi, Didyma, Hierapolis, Delos and Rhodes, have been examined regarding their functioning through astronomical orientation. Recent research has shown that the rise, setting, orbit and observation of certain constellations in the celestial sphere, as well as the solar stands, can be directly related to the architecture of the temple, i.e. construction, orientation, and keeping a calendar of the most important Apollonian oracular temple at Delphi. Here this lunar-solar-stellar configuration has been applied to other significant temples of Apollo. It is shown that at Didyma, Hierapolis and Delphi, the celestial pattern, as well as the landscape, local geology and architecture are similar, but different in temples without oracular function (Delos and Rhodes). Measurements were carried out by in situ readings and by Google Map tools.

In the context of the interdisciplinary nature of research, which is increasingly characterised by specialised expertise, applying advanced technologies in various ways, the interaction between architecture and the discipline of archaeology finds a broad and fertile field of experimentation.
Is this the case with the Italian mission (MAECI) to Ashkelon, a city set along the south coast of the nowadays Israel, which sees a pull of architects from the University of Florence, from the discipline of drawing and surveying, but not only, and Israeli archaeologists involved in the study of the ancient site and, in particular, of Santa Maria in Viridis.
In general, archaeological excavation involves irreversible actions: while striving to document as best as possible each ‘layer’ detected by the sensitivity of the operator, it proceeds by successive elisions. This action, not allowing the repeatability of the research and analysis act, defines archaeology as a discipline and not an exact science. The crucial issue for architects who have developed drawing into science is the most objective approach for studying an architectural artefact and the opportunity to make it shareable and analysable at different scales and with several tools. The attempt made is to turn the irreversible activities of the excavation virtually reversible, taking advantage of new technologies and implementing methodological protocols for integrated surveying project in its daily progression and data representation in plans, section, and 3d model that describes the continuity of the surface in its morphology and chromatic representation.

La fuente etnohistórica es una potente ciencia capaz de revelar los secretos del mundo andino. La religión andina, denominada Wak´anismo, es un campo de investigación fértil. Este articulo realiza un recuento y análisis de las principales citas de cronistas hispanos del siglo XVI concerniente al término guaca o huaca, y plantea los objetivos de: consolidar la memoria social prístina, fortalecer la identidad cultural, cristalizar la educación de los pueblos rurales, fomentar la espiritualidad por nuestra tierra y el desarrollo socioeconómico de los pueblos andinos. Metodología: revisión minuciosa del término wak´as en los textos de los cronistas del siglo XVI. Resultados: Se ha observado y comprobado la profusa diseminación del Wak´anismo en el amplio territorio del Tawantinsuyu.

The process of designing an architectural project has always been among the most explored fields of research. On the one hand, it proves to be a historical document of cultural heritage; on the other hand, however, it allows the researcher to grasp the relations obtaining between the design idea and its realization. In this frame of reference the present study of worksite tracings is focused on detail designing. The study of these signs con- ducted by integrating the traditional surveying techniques with the technologies of massive ac-quisition as well as with the digital methodolo-gies of model constructing has been carried out in order to grasp the relations between the idea and its realization by continuously comparing real and ideal models, thus extending the knowledge and the documentation of ancient artifacts.

I risultati presentati, oltre che analizzare le differenti metodologie di modellazione impiegate, giungono ad una ricostruzione diacronica della fabbrica del duomo, con particolare attenzione agli elementi materici e agli apparati decorativi di una delle cappelle laterali. Pueblo Viejo de Tucute (Puna de Jujuy, Argentina), dated in the Regional Development Period, shows a distinctive architectural pattern with hundreds of circular dwellings built on stone walled terraces. Nine of these round houses have been test pitted and two of them have been fully excavated. The comparison between these houses, regarding their setting and their associated archaeological materials, allows us to propose differences and similarities regarding the organization and use of the domestic spaces, and also to inquire about the social status of the inhabitants of both archaeological households. The identification of fixed and semi-fixed architectural features and the analysis of the recovered artifacts show different activities related to economic and social reproduction strategies. Today models are the point of departure for all the activities aimed at a more profound knowledge of the object. Este trabajo presenta los resultados obtenidos durante el proceso de elaboración de tesis de grado que aborda el estudio de los sitios arqueológicos El Churcal y Puerta de La Huerta, ubicados en el sector medio de la Quebrada de Humahuaca (provincia de Jujuy, Argentina) a través del análisis físico-químico de sedimentos y sus rasgos arquitectónicos. Fueron ocupados durante los períodos Tardío o de Desarrollos Regionales (900 d.C. - 1430 d.C.) e Inca (1430 a.C. - 1536 d.C.). Los objetivos generales de la investigación apuntan a contribuir al conocimiento arqueológico de la región y reconstruir la dinámica de los pueblos prehispánicos, entendida como proceso social, político y cultural. Entre los objetivos particulares se procura identificar los procesos de formación de sitios mediante el análisis de sedimentos arqueológicos para diferenciar áreas específicas. Se utilizan los datos obtenidos en muestras sedimentológicas extraídas en estructuras actuales y activas, junto con el registro arqueológico disponible, fundamentalmente procedente de contextos arquitectónicos.

The study of historic cities is nowadays enriched with new knowledge and tools for “digital storytelling”. The design of the city, previously made by simple techniques, is now replaced by sequences of images taken by laser that narrate the urban environment. Sequences of lights and coloured point clouds redesign the town, portraying it in all of its complexity, even chromatic, and permeating its materiality. The operator is not ousted from this process, indeed; every action is mediated by his intuition and ability. The 3D laser scanner is to be considered as the pencil of digital era and a precious resource for the acquisition of geometric/morphological data. The colour of clouds is in fact digital index of physicochemical properties of materials: colour changes represent the material characteristics of building components. Since the UNESCO established the need for Management Plans for the sites inscribed to World Heritage List, those tools have gained increasing relevance. ATHENA is an international cooperation project included in the program EUROMED HERITAGE IV of the EUROPEAN COMMISSION and is aimed at sharing, within the Mediterranean Basin, the best practices for sustainable use of ancient theatres. These buildings play a fundamental role for cultural and economic development, but need special care when used for staging activities: from the point of view of users (safety, comfort, etc.) and for monument preservation. The IRP has developed a managerial tool for contemporary uses divided into three parts: Preliminary Activities for spreading knowledge about theatre, Fundamentals, which are a series of definitions and procedures for the management of ancient theatres in general, and the third part, which will be a manual for carrying out diagnosis and proposals for the theatre.

In the last few years, the need to share on the Web the knowledge of Cultural Heritage (CH) through navigable 3D models has increased. This need requires the availability of Web-based virtual reality systems and 3D WEBGIS. In order to make the information available to all stakeholders, these instruments should be powerful and at the same time very user-friendly. However, research and experiments carried out so far show that a standardized methodology doesn’t exist. All this is due both to complexity and dimensions of geometric models to be published, on the one hand, and to excessive costs of hardware and software tools, on the other. Представлены основные результаты археологических раскопок мавзолея Кёк-Таш, расположенного в Кочкорской долине Кыргызской Республики. Исследования проводились в рамках совместного проекта Кыргызско-Турецкого университета Манас
с управлением по сотрудничеству и развитию при аппарате премьер-министра Республики Турция (ТИКА). В результате проведенных работ полностью вскрыт первый известный на территории Кыргызстана подземный двухкамерный мавзолей. По своей планировке, строительному материалу, форме тромпов и арок он наиболее близок архитектурным сооружениям Средней Азии караханидского времени. Однако найденные в мавзолее отдельные вещественные находки и результаты радиоуглеродного анализа образца черепа подростка указывают на вторую половину XIII в. В мавзолее были обнаружены скелеты и отдельные кости трех человек, не сохранившие своего первоначального положения. Вероятно, исследуемый объект является семейной усыпальницей,
где были погребены муж, жена и их ребенок. Однако окончательные выводы на этот счет могут быть сделаны после радиоуглердного и ДНК-анализов образцов человеческих костей из исследуемого мавзолея.

Las obras arquitectónicas monumentales de la antigüedad son el testimonio de las
necesidades de sus constructores y de sus épocas. El estudio de estas obras nos acerca a
comprender las prioridades de sus valores culturales y sus alcances técnicos y artísticos,
muchos de los cuales son valiosos y aplicables en la arquitectura moderna. Durante el
trabajo de las investigaciones inter y multidisciplinarias realizadas en estos años,3 la
metodología del estudio arqueoarquitectónico se ha ido enriqueciendo con el enfoque
propio de cada investigador. En esta contribución explico la metodología y aportes de
la Arqueoarquitectura concebida como una especialidad arquitectónica que atañe al
registro, estudio y divulgación de los valores culturales de las edificaciones arqueológicas.
Explico los nuevos programas de acopio de datos, medición y análisis más precisos,
rápidos y capaces, con los cuales es posible estudiar cabalmente patrones de diseño y
alineaciones geográficas y astronómicas en extensos conjuntos monumentales.

2019, Concepciones sobre el clima en el mundo andino. Reflexiones y debate interdisciplinar

En el presente documento se plantean los conceptos de la propuesta teórica y metodológica que posibilitarán caracterizar los elementos centrales de una concepción andina del clima.
El Cambio Climático y sus actuales y futuras consecuencias negativas sobre la vida en el planeta es la expresión de las múltiples crisis Ambientales, sociales y económicas por las que atraviesa la humanidad. El sistema económico capitalista y el desarrollo de las ciencias y la técnica son parte es parte de una cosmovisión reduccionista global que ha llevado a la humanidad a la destrucción del planeta (Elbers, 2012).
Sin embargo, desde las mismas ciencias, han surgido propuestas que abogan por un cambio en el paradigma científico, pero también, en Definitiva, en los paradigmas sociales y económicos que se siguen del cientificismo positivista.

La tarde del 30 de enero de 1533 la Ciudad Sagrada de Pachacamac, sede de una de las deidades más famosas del mundo andino de la época, sería escenario de uno de los acontecimientos más impactantes para las milenarias sociedades que habían florecido en esta parte del Pacífico suramericano. El dramatismo y horror que vivieron miles de personas en esas horas es un hecho que no ha tenido aún el suficiente tratamiento y análisis. El innegable impacto que aquellos impresionantes acontecimientos producirían luego para millones de personas en la vasta geografía andina quedaría reflejado en la ruptura abrupta de una tradición ancestral y en la profanación de una de las divinidades más temidas y veneradas por centurias. Es posible que aún no terminemos de comprender en toda su magnitud lo que ese momento significaría para la cosmovisión andina luego de miles de años de mágico aislamiento del resto de civilizaciones del planeta. Tomando como base las crónicas y los trabajos de diversos investigadores, esta narración libre intenta mostrarnos lo que pudo ocurrir esa tarde de enero del año 1533.

Como lo subrayan algunos autores, el alto grado de desarrollo de la función oracular y la consulta a las divinidades desde tiempos inmemoriales, es quizá uno de los elementos más emblemáticos en el desarrollo de la Civilización Andina. Así, durante más de 5,000 años de evolución autóctona, las prácticas adivinatorias y oraculares definitivamente representaron una característica muy arraigada al interior de las poblaciones de las diversas nacionalidades y estados que surgieron en estos extensos territorios de la vertiente del Pacífico suramericano.

El año 2007, durante los trabajos de campo del Proyecto Manabí Central en Japoto, se localizó una estructura que se había conservado, a pesar de la fragilidad de sus materiales de construcción, ya que fue enterrada intencionalmente debajo de toneladas de tierra y cascajo traído del estero cercano, visualizándose en el terreno como uno más de los montículos habitacionales del sitio. Un primer sondeo del montículo J8 reveló algunos de los elementos arquitectónicos de la E1, conformada básicamente por una plataforma baja encima de la cual se encontró un recinto rectangular delimitado por un murete escalonado, una pared con un zócalo adosado y un grueso muro, quedando abierto al oeste por uno de su lados largos. En este artículo se brindan los resultados de la campaña arqueológica del 2008, su valoración e interpretación preliminar.
