Effective use of information technology is one of the key success factors of organizations in gaining competitive advantage and providing better services to customers. The everincreasing growth of developments and innovations in this field has created challenges in coordinating information technology strategies with organizational strategies. Coordinating information technology strategies with new business strategies is considered as one of the top ten issues of executive managers in this field. Despite the various methods and models that have been proposed and used in the past decades to solve the coordination problem, there are still serious challenges in this field. Technology planning has always been considered as one of the effective ways to align an organization's strategy with its technology plans. However, this approach has not been used to solve the problem of "coordinating information technology strategies with new business strategies". Therefore, this study reviews and analyzes the literature related to the coordination problem and highlights the challenges that have not been solved by the existing tools and models in this field. On the other hand, the theoretical and practical concepts of technology guidance are also analyzed. Finally, the concept of information technology roadmap planning method in order to develop a technology roadmap for the coordination of information technology strategies with the strategies of start-up businesses in the next 5 years with the latest developments in the field of information technology has been examined and the prototype of the information technology roadmap for a startup is provided.

From the actual start of activities to the crossing of the milestone, the entrepreneur of necessity encounters a multitude of problems of varying degrees of intensity that must be resolved so as not to jeopardize the sustainability efforts deployed until then. Our research work leads us towards a logical continuum seeking to understand over time, the behaviors adopted by the necessity entrepreneur to resolve critical incidents related to the start-up process. By incident is meant a difficulty that occurs during an entrepreneurial process and the consequences of which can be critical or serious if the entrepreneur does not resolve the incident. The critical (or serious) character here refers to what is not their routine. This means that the incident can slow down, slow down, induce or cause the abandonment of the process of starting the business of necessity. The empirical study is therefore part of an interpretive perspective and mobilizes a qualitative methodology known as the critical incident method. The analysis of research on entrepreneurial processes of necessity underscores the value of adopting a process perspective in the study of the phenomenon. Consequently, the research takes a longitudinal approach. We constituted a theoretical sample of twelve (12) necessity entrepreneurs from Burkina Faso, based in Ouagadougou who were followed through initial and in-depth interviews over a period of 15 months. The results indicate that, during the start-up process, entrepreneurs out of necessity leave with the means at their disposal (effect logic) rather than setting a predetermined goal (causal logic). At times, they mix between Causation and Effectuation according to planned or unforeseen events.

Integrating elements of green sustainable development (GSD) awareness into e-sports
applications presents a unique opportunity to educate and engage youth in environmental
sustainability. This study explores the integration of sustainability into the e-sports industry,
a critical endeavor given the sector's global reach and environmental impact. Employing a
qualitative methodology, the research synthesizes data from academic literature, industry
reports, and digital media to identify patterns and best practices for embedding sustainability
within e-sports. Utilizing content analysis of leading e-sports applications, the study examines
the feasibility and impact of embedding GSD themes within game narratives and mechanics.Major findings reveal a growing awareness and implementation of eco-friendly practices
among e-sports organizations, such as waste reduction and virtual event promotion,
alongside innovative game narratives that highlight environmental themes. Additionally,
partnerships between e-sports entities and environmental NGOs have amplified sustainability
messaging. The study suggests further research into optimizing educational content within
games, expanding green practices at events, and leveraging digital influencers to enhance
environmental advocacy. By advancing these areas, the e-sports industry can play a pivotal
role in promoting global sustainability and fostering environmental consciousness among its
diverse audience to promote green sustainable development through digital platforms.

Interest in entrepreneurship education is growing over the world, especially in innovation based economies, such as Denmark (GEM, 2010). However, we know rather little about the outcomes of entrepreneurship education, in particular with respect to which type of course content produces the best results (i.e. most high performing entrepreneurs) and how this affects different types of students. There is a great variety of different views in the field of research concerning the content and structure of entrepreneurship courses, but no comprehensive study has as yet been done in which these competing views are clearly articulated as rivals and tested against each other. There is also a lack of programme evaluations that use control groups and have a longitudinal design (Gorman, Hanlon & King, 1997; Matlay, 2008). Those that have this setup often experience methodological problems due to their conceptual framework (Krueger, 2009), or they have a view of entrepreneurship that does not take into account the advancements within research that have been made during the last decade (Sarasvathy, 2008). Thus, we clearly need to dig deeper into this field in order to create methods and models that allow us to evaluate the outcomes of different types of entrepreneurship courses. With the beginning of 2011, the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship-Young Enterprise 1 initiated a research project with the aim to further our understanding of the type of impact entrepreneurship education and different educational designs have on different types of students. Two longitudinal quasi-experimental surveys, one with a focus on elementaryand secondary-level education and one with focus on tertiary-level education, will be performed and databases with students from all parts and levels of the Danish educational system will be created. The surveys will use entrepreneurial self-efficacy (Mauer, Neergaard & Kirketerp, 2009) as a performance indicator, but in order to generate robust results the development of new measurement tools is needed. In this paper the initial phases of this project and the research design of these two surveys will be presented.

Organisational ambidexteritythe ability of a company to successfully link exploitation and explorationis a fruitful approach for cross-border management. It is a crucial concept for media companies that, because of the dual (cultural and economic) character of their products, need to reconcile strategies of mere expansion with local customisation when engaging across borders. Drawing on semistructured interviews with international media managers, this article captures patterns of ambidextrous strategising and organising in cross-border media activities. The article focuses on digitisation, which has altered the opportunities for balancing exploration and exploitation in internationalisation. The analysis reveals how, in this context, exploitation takes centre stage and how patterns of ambidexterity differ significantly depending on the media type and the background of the company.

After the data is collected, we analyze it under a phenomenological approach, an attempt to get data evidence to answer phenomenal problems on the validity and reliability of findings. Where the business is very competitive, of course, the strategy has one concept and can create value in marketing by following various trends that will occur in the following year; likewise, the marketing strategy has components and planning that follow the characteristics...

In-app purchases (IAP) are extremely valuable for developers/publishers, and they are interested in promoting them to users. However, previous research revealed differences between drivers of IAP for users from various countries. Authors compare drivers of Russian players and other emerging countries users. The design of the study consists of in-depth interviews with Russian users, followed by a quantitative survey that helps to identify the main drivers of in-app purchases. We found differences in the significance and the list of the drivers for Russian players. Cluster analysis allowed us to identify diverse segments with different priorities, so to be successful, game developers should dive into the peculiarities of the behavior of players in a particular country.

In Malaysia, the Government has been supportive in inculcating entrepreneurships skills at the higher learning institutions through policies such as training providers, funding, infrastructure and facilities to encourage students to start their own businesses (Mohd Zahari Ismail, 2006). Such support is seen as one of the effort to transform the country's economy into a knowledge-based economy whereby entrepreneurship has been identified as one of the key elements to the development of the economy. It has been contended that in developing successful entrepreneurs, an early exposure in entrepreneurial courses is essential (Mansor and Othman, 2011). Law graduates in Malaysia are open to join either be the judiciary, government agencies, corporate and banking sectors or private practice. In most circumstances, law graduates will be attached to private firms and this eventually will lead to most of them opening their own legal firm. This means lawyers could not avoid standard business practices such as preparing cash flow report, business and succession plan and audit report. There are also many lawyers who end up in business, such as construction and trading companies. As such, law graduates are potential entrepreneurs. This paper intends to discuss the relationship between involvement in entrepreneurship programs and the interest of law undergraduates to become entrepreneurs when they graduated from the University. The study is based upon a survey conducted on law undergraduates of Ahmad

There is a lack of insights into how the teaching methods adopted in the top-down approach affect students’ learning experiences. This paper adopts a case study approach in investigating an event organised by undergraduates at a Malaysian public university as universities in the local context heed the call to produce more entrepreneurs to spur socio-economic activities. Observations and interviews with the student leader and two other students, and their lecturers revealed that while the top-down approach preferred by the university in engaging students to spur them to become entrepreneurs has its merits, the response at the ground level revealed challenges that they faced in participating in the entrepreneurial event. Findings of the study underscore the importance of narrowin...

Start-up ecosystems around the world have created a large number of successful and innovative unicorn companies in recent years. Our research note focuses on the case of China and offers a global comparative perspective on the current status of Chinese unicorn start-ups and their founding structure. We identify a predominantly male unicorn founding structure and illustrate a worrying decline of female entrepreneurship in China. Key insights: (1) As of August 4th 2021, the world is home to 779 unicorn start-ups, which are located in 39 countries and 190 cities. The United States (388) and China (157) lead the unicorn ranking. In comparison, the European Union currently possesses 60 start-ups that have become unicorns. (2) The Chinese government has actively supported the creation of vibrant start-up ecosystems in the past decade. One example is China's Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Policy (大众创业万众创新政策), which was announced in 2014. (3) The world's highest valued start-up (ByteDance) is based in Beijing. China's 157 unicorns are concentrated in 20 cities, but can mainly be found in Beijing (62), Shanghai (38), Shenzhen (16), and Hangzhou (14). (4) Our study reveals that Chinese unicorn start-ups are predominantly founded by men, in both absolute and relative numbers. More than eighty percent of the Chinese unicorns were either founded by an individual male or all-male founding team. By contrast, female individual founders and mixed gender founding teams only make up 13.38 percent of China's unicorn companies. Still, more Chinese women are founders or cofounders of unicorns than in most other countries. (5) Female participation with regard to entrepreneurship is declining in China. This trend does not bode well for China's economy, as research has shown the positive and important role of women entrepreneurs for economic development.

The purpose of this study is to examine the significant factors influencing Malaysian university students' intentions to venture into business through entrepreneurship education. Malaysia is a developing nation has a high rate of unemployment among the young graduates emerging from the universities. The Malaysian government is taking great efforts in transforming into a knowledge-based economy, where the term 'entrepreneur' has been defined as one of its key elements. The problem is how to instil in the minds of students that they should venture into business instead seeking jobs. The literature probes into concepts and conceptualisations of the theories and has proposed a theoretical framework identifying the research issues and the research gap. The research design consists of developing a hypothetical framework with entrepreneurship education as the independent variables to test the dependent variable of entrepreneurial intentions. In addition, demographic characteristics, attitude factors and stakeholder support system factors act as mediating variables. The methodology employed is quantitative, which includes a random sample from final year students studying entrepreneurship as a subject curriculum from four entrepreneurial focused Malaysian universities. Data collection is proposed using questionnaire survey and analysed through SPSS version 22.0 and Structural Equation Modelling, AMOS version 22.0.

This study presents the findings of a longitudinal study on the deployment of the electronic computer driving licence (ECDL) in a London University of the space of five years (2005-2010). As an enterprise development tool, ECDL has been proven to contribute to the employability of students. Indeed ECDL not only improves learners' understanding of computers, but also promotes efficient use of software for academic learning. In the case of this London University such enhancement has been accorded an additional thrust-i.e. enterprise education development. It is obvious that students sign up to ECDL for variety of reasons (including boosting their CVs; skills development; and entrepreneurial development). It is arguable, therefore, that ECDL certification does prepare students for life after university education. ECDL at the London University has gone full circle, from an initially subscription of about 70 students at the outset (i.e. financially self-funded initiative) to a fully ...

South Asia has seen a digital revolution in recent years. The number of persons who use the internet has risen drastically. They use it for shopping, social media, and online sales. However, there exists a literature gap as far as the effect of outbound digital marketing in B2B markets is concerned. The research builds a model based on brand and consumer interactions in Indian B2B markets using a vector autoregressive model to systemically analyze the cost and outcome of digital marketing efforts by the start-ups operating in South Asia. The multivariate time series was analyzed in identifying simultaneous and consistent impacts by the start-ups. We use Vector autoregressive model as it allows us to analyze the relationship among the factors as it changes over time. The research finds evidence for the conceptual framework in South Asian markets. The results prove that sales are greatly influenced by digital media, and outbound marketing efforts, predominantly word of mouth, have a huge impact in building a brand image as it spread over on the social media platforms. It is observed that the digital marketing strategies and consumer interaction are the same across South Asia, but its effect varies from country to country within South Asia thus suggesting a need of developing a new strategy in digital marketing for B2B markets.

We are living in an era where a lot of disruptive technologies that change the entire perspective of the market are arriving very often. One such is the emergence of Mobile App Development, which completely changed the way users utilized software. Even though software development generally meant a stand-alone or Web application in the past, now it has enormous space given to Mobile App Development. Standalone technologies demanded the user to have a Personal Computer at least, with them to utilize their applications. However, since the platform on which an app can be deployed is just a mobile phone, the target audience for this type of application development becomes manifold. App development that targets handheld devices has now become a standard by which services reach the target audience faster since almost everyone has access to a mobile device. The App Development industry has only grown in leaps and bounds ever since its inception. This paper discusses in detail the Mobile App Development Industry and its predominance in India. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine young learners’ attitudes towards enterprise education within the context of a university led initiative to construct a sustainable framework which benefits identified stakeholders. Design/methodology/approach The research used self-completed questionnaires with 117 business studies students in Stages S4-S6 from secondary schools across Dundee and business students from Years 1-4 at one university in Dundee, Scotland. Findings The research reveals that respondents positively engage with enterprise education and felt that their project management, creative thinking, communication skills and confidence were enhanced by the activity of real-world business challenges. The findings support the notion that an enterprising spine embedded in the academic curriculum better equip the learner with the necessary hard and soft skills required for the employment market but not necessarily to be entrepreneurial. Research limitations/implications A li...
