ethical use of information. The selected folktales are “The Witch Without Chin”, “The Demon Queen”, and “Yenkha Paodabi” (The Eavesdropper).
They provide valuable perspectives on human behaviour and social norms relevant to today’s digital age. The analysis demonstrates that these folktales offer significant lessons for understanding and responding to the digital world. This research reaffirms the significance of folklore in providing moral guidance. It also emphasises the role of traditional narratives in fostering a culture of integrity and transparency in contemporary society.

இந்தியா மூன்று பக்கம் கடலால் சூழப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்தியக் கடற்கரையின் மொத்த நீளம் 7516.6 கி.மீ ஆகும். இந்த நீண்ட நெடிய கடற்கரைப் பகுதி நெய்தல்ச திணை என சங்க காலத்தில் வகுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த கடற்கரைப் பகுதியில் தொன்று தொட்டு மக்கள் வாழ்ந்து வருகின்றனர். வடக்கே, அட்சரேகை 8.15”, தெற்கே, தீர்க்க ரேகை 77.14” ல் அமைந்துள்ளது குளச்சல். இதில் 13 பெரிய துறை முகங்களும், 187 சிறிய துறைமுகங்களும் அமைந்துள்ளன. மும்பை, கொச்சி, மங்ளூர், மர்மகோவா, குளச்சல், முட்டம் மற்றும் காண்டலா போன்ற துறைமுகங்கள் மேற்கு கடற்கரையிலும் கொல்கத்தா, பாரதீப், விசாகப்பட்டினம், சென்னை, தூத்துக்குடி போன்ற துறைமுகங்கள் கிழக்குக் கடற்கரையிலும் அமைந்துள்ள துறைமுகங்களாகும். பெரிய துறை முகங்கள் மத்திய அரசின் கட்டுப்பாட்டிலுள்ள துறைமுக பொறுப்புக் கடிகத்தால் நிர்வகிக்கப்படுகின்றன. குளச்சல் துறைமுகம், தென்தமிழகத்தில் இந்தியாவின் தென்மேற்கு கடற்கரையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. அதிக அளவில் கப்பல் போக்குவரத்து கொண்ட கடற்பாதையில் குளச்சல் துறைமுகம் அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த கடற்பாதை ஐரோப்பிய வளைகுடா நாடுகள், வட ஆப்பிரிக்கா முதலிய நாடுகளில் இருந்து சூயஸ் கால்வாய், சீனா, ஐப்பான் மற்றும் பசிபிக் கடலின் கரையோர நாடுகளுக்குச் செல்லும் கடற்பாதையாகும். இயற்கைக் துறைமுகமான குளச்சல் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த மீனவர்களின் வாழ்க்கையில் கடலின் பங்களிப்பு, மீனவர்களின் பழக்கவழக்கங்கள், தொழில், வணிகத் தொடர்பு மற்றும் நம்பிக்கைகள் போன்றவற்றை அறிந்து கொள்வதன் வழியாக மீனவ மக்களுக்கும் பிற மக்களுக்கும் உள்ள வேறுபாடுகளைக் கண்டறிய இயலும். குளச்சல் வாழ் மீனவர்களின் வரலாறு, சமூக பண்பாட்டின் நிலைகளையும் அன்றாட வாழ்வில் அவர்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் சாவல்களையும், குளச்சலின் வரலாற்று சிறப்பையும், மக்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தைப் பற்றியும் அறிந்து கொள்ளும் நோக்கில் இந்த ஆய்வு அமைகின்றது. கடல் வளங்களை மக்களுக்கு அளித்து, கடல்சார் வாழ்வில் ஈடுபடும் இந்திய வரலாறு இதுவரை முழுமையாக ஆராயப்படவில்லை. எனவே, இம்மக்களின் வாழ்வியல் வரலாற்றை மீளுருவாக்கும் முயற்சியாக குளச்சல் பகுதி மீனவர்களின் வாழ்க்கையை பற்றி இந்த ஆய்வில் எடுத்துள்ளேன். குளச்சல் பகுதியில் உள்ள மீனவர்களின் வாழ்க்கை முறையும், வாழ்வாதாரம் மற்றும் அன்றட வாழ்வில் அவர்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் சவால்கள் என்ன என்பதே இந்த ஆய்வின், ஆய்வுச் சிக்கல் ஆகும். குளச்சல் மீனவர்களின் பழக்கவழக்கங்களில் ஒளிந்திருக்கும்
முன்னோர்களின் பண்புகளைக் கண்டறிந்து, இன்றைய தொழில்நுட்ப வளர்ச்சியினால் மரபுகளில் ஏற்பட்ட தாக்கங்களை கண்டறியவும், அன்றாட வாழ்வில் குளச்சல் பகுதி மீனவ மக்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் சவால்களைக் கண்டறிந்து அவற்றை எதிர்கொள்ள அவர்கள் கையாளும் உக்திகளைக் கண்டறிவதே, இந்த ஆய்வின் முதன்மையான நோக்கமாகும்.

lo disparatado y lo irreverente, así como de
comunión entre lo lírico y lo minificcional, los
juegos de palmas —también llamados juegos
de manos— nacen y se practican en América
y España mediante una serie de ejecuciones
corporales y musicales que permiten tanto
el desarrollo de habilidades psicomotrices y
mnemotécnicas en los niños y las niñas, como la
creación y el fortalecimiento de lazos entre sus
participantes. En las próximas líneas indagaré
acerca de dichos patrones de pensamiento y recreación, con apoyo en otros aspectos como
lo lúdico, lo humorístico, lo antropológico, lo
performativo y lo literario, que conforman, a
grandes rasgos, la lógica de este tipo de juegos
infantiles.

Çağımızda yaşanan Toplum 5.0 (Süper Akıllı Toplum) biçimi, sahip olduğu yüksek
teknolojiyle hayatımıza birçok olumlu katkıda bulunmakta fakat bu olumlu katkı oranınca yığın kültürünün ezici etkisine maruz kalmamıza neden olmaktadır. Bu noktada yığın kültürü kuramıyla yapılacak incelemelere büyük ihtiyaç vardır. Dünyada yığın kültürünün ezici etkilerini azaltmak amacıyla birçok çalışma yapılmaktadır fakat Türk halkbiliminde kuram dâhilinde konuya dair çalışmalar neredeyse yok gibidir. Kırsal halk geleneği girdisi ve ulusal paket çıktısı cümlesiyle ifade edebileceğimiz yığın kültürü
kuramı bağlamında; halk hayatındaki (folk life) kültürel zenginliğimizin kültürel tematik
seyrini ortaya koyan çalışmaların yapılması gereklilik arz etmektedir. Yığın kültürü
kuramıyla Göbek Atan Ethem Dede örnekleminde, halk hayatında, evliya kültünün
kültürel tematik seyrini incelediğimiz bu çalışmada; 1992, 2019 ve 2024 yıllarında
Göbek Atan Ethem Dede konulu alan araştırması, Facebook yorumları, televizyon
programları ve Youtube videolarından yola çıkılarak yapılan mukayeseyle söz konusu yıllar arasında medyanın etkisiyle husule gelen algı farklılığı ve yığın kültürünün etkisi tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmamızın amacı, yığın kültürü kuramı ile yapılacak çalışmaların önemine vurgu yapmak ve bu anlamda örnekteşkil edecek bir çalışma ortaya koymaktır

Karabakh is a region known for its rich history and culture. The folklore of this region is rich with the historical events, geographical features, and cultural diversity experienced by its people. Folklore encompasses the beliefs, customs, and traditions that play a significant role in the daily lives of the people. This article explores the beliefs present in Karabakh folklore and examines their place in the culture of the people. Beliefs in Karabakh folklore are categorized into different groups. While some of these beliefs have religious origins, others are related to natural events and daily life. 1. Religious Beliefs: Islam is widely practiced in Karabakh, and these religious beliefs are reflected in the folklore. For example, customs and ceremonies performed during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha, as well as other religious holidays, are part of the belief system of the people. Rituals such as praying, fasting, and sacrificing animals are widely practiced among the populace. 2. Beliefs Related to Nature and Natural Forces: The relationship of the people of Karabakh with nature is also reflected in the folklore. Beliefs related to natural forces are especially prevalent among those engaged in agriculture. For instance, praying for rain and performing special rituals to ensure a bountiful harvest are common practices. 3. Mythological Beliefs: Mythological beliefs are also widely present in Karabakh folklore. Through myths and legends, the people have transmitted their history and culture to future generations. For example, many people in Karabakh believe in entities such as "Div" and "Jin," and various stories about these entities are told. The beliefs present in Karabakh folklore reflect the culture, values, and lifestyle of the people. These beliefs play an important role in the daily lives of the people and are passed down from generation to generation. The richness and diversity of Karabakh folklore further enhance the cultural heritage of this region. Through this article, we aim to explore the beliefs present in Karabakh folklore and illustrate their place in the culture of the people.

The African continent offers a great diversity of religions, languages, cultures and ethnic groups. This diversity manifests itself in the field of music and dance. In Africa, music and dance have a fundamental place in many social and religious events such as birth, weddings, funerals, harvests, wars, worship and festivals. In addition to expressing the feelings, beliefs and identities of individuals and societies; music and dance also have functions such as communication and healing. In Africa, they are one of the main to-ols used to communicate with spirits and gods, especially in religious rituals. They play an essential role in honoring ancestral spirits, worship and spiri-tual purification. They are also used as an effective method in healing ritu-als, social solidarity and spiritual development of individuals. In this respect, music and dance are not only an entertainment element in African societies but also an integral part of life and faith. The study aims to reveal the cent-ral role of music and dance as a ritual element in African Traditional Religi-ons. This research is important because it contributes to understanding cul-tural heritage by revealing that music and dance play a significant role in religious rituals, social integration and spiritual communication in African Traditional Religions. This study focuses on defining African music and dance, examining their structural characteristics, and exploring their religi-ous aspects and functions within African Traditional Religions.The study concluded that music and dance in African Traditional Religions are not only an aesthetic art form but also a versatile form of expression that strengthens social solidarity, enables communication with the sacred in religious rituals, reinforces individual and collective identity, and are even used in healing practices.

Geleceği bilme, kötü talihin önüne geçme, anda olmayanı olur hâle getirme ya da olanı değiştirme gibi istekler insanların farklı arayışlara girmesine sebep olmuştur. Toplum hayatında etkin rol oynayan ve geçmişi insanlığın eski dönemlerine kadar uzanan büyüsel ritüeller, bu arayışlardan bir tanesidir. İnsanlar hastalıklara şifa bulma, evlenme, kısmet açma, çocuk sahibi olma, her türlü şerden korunma ya da başkalarına zarar verme gibi çeşitli amaçlarla büyücü, cinci, hoca adıyla bilinen insanların yardımına başvurur. Bu araştırma, sevilen kişiye kavuşma arzusu, kaderi olarak gördüğü kişiyi elinde tutma isteği ya da reddedilmenin, kavuşamamanın getirdiği nefret ve intikam gibi duygularla aşk için başvurulan büyülerin incelemesini içermektedir. Bu amaçla büyü üzerine hazırlanmış olan akademik yayınlar, yüksek lisans ve doktora tezleri incelenmiş, eserlerde yer alan örneklerde aşk niyetiyle pek çok kez büyüye başvurulduğu görülmüştür. Aşkın iyi ve kötü her iki yüzünün görüldüğü bu çalışmada iyi niyet taşıdığı düşünülen büyüler ak, kötü niyet barındıran büyüler ise kara büyüler adı altında ele alınmıştır. İncelenen metinlerden hareketle insanların aşk içerikli büyülere başvurmadaki amaçları ve bu amaçlar altında yatan toplumsal ve psikolojik etmenler değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca büyülerin uygulama ve uygulanma zamanları ile büyüyü oluşturan ve istenilen sonuca varmada etkisi olacağına inanılan materyaller sınıflandırmaya tabi tutulup detaylı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır.

Seyirlik oyunlar sadece eğlence ortamlarını neşelendirmek için uygulana gelmiş oyunlar değil; var olduğu yöredeki toplumsal inanç ve gelenekleri, yaşam koşullarını, ekonomik yapıyı, üzüntü ve sevinçleri, töreleri, iklimsel ve çevresel şartları da bünyesinde taşıyan değerler bütünüdür. Bu araştırmanın amacı; coğrafi yakınlığın getirdiği ortak kültüre sahip olan Niğde ve Kayseri yörelerindeki müzikli seyirlik oyunların tanıtılmasına kaynaklık etmektir. Müzikli seyirlik oyunlar, yörenin kaynak kişileri ile yapılan görüşmeler, literatür taraması ve mevcut video kayıtlarından derlenerek ortaya konulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda; oyunların genellikle yöre düğünlerinde, kına gecelerinde, sünnet ve özel eğlencelerde; kışın ise köylerde oda oturmalarında oynandığı, oyunlar esnasında oyunun amacına uygun türkülerin çalınıp söylendiği ve oyuna özgü muhtelif seslerin çıkarıldığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

Türkiye'de her yıl Ramazan ayında gerçekleştirilen birlik, beraberlik ve eğlence amaçlı ritüeller, halk tarafından sevilen, sürdürülmek istenen geleneklerdir. Toplum tarafından hem geçmişi hatırlatma özellikleri hem de gelecek nesillere geleneği aktarma isteği ile özellikle de yetişkin kesim tarafından genç nesillere anlatılan ve uygulanmasına özendirilen bu eğlencelerin günümüzde kısmen de olsa devamlılığı sağlanmaktadır. Teknolojik gelişmeler, sosyal değişimler ve insanların daha fazla ev odaklı yaşamayı tercih etmelerinden dolayı Ramazan gelenekleri eskiden olduğu gibi coşku ile gerçekleştirilmemekle birlikte halen devam etmektedir. Ramazan eğlenceleri içerisinde yer alan geleneksel uygulamaların özgünlüğü; kültürel dönüşümler ve geleneklerin tatbikindeki birçok değişiklik neticesinde eksilmeye ve yozlaşmaya uğramış, bununla birlikte birçoğunun asıl amaçları ve biçimleri kaybolmuştur. Bu araştırmada, Ramazan eğlencelerinde yer alan birçok mâninin ezgi ve sözlerinin değiştirildiği, basitleştirildiği, yok olduğu ve ezgiden sıyrılıp sadece söz öbeklerine dönüştürüldüğü hususlarını vurgulamak amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda; söz konusu değişimlere örnek olan Küpecik geleneği ve Küpecik mânisinin otantik kaynaklardan alınan ezgisi notaya alınmış, sözlerde farklılıklar gösteren versiyonları sunulmuştur. Küpecik mânisindeki anlamsal, ezgisel ve ritimsel kaymalara dikkat çekilerek söz konusu mâninin yazılı kaynaklarla korunması sağlanmak istenmiştir.

S. Hareesh"s Meesha (Moustache) is a Malayalam novel set in Kuttanad, Kerala, that unravels the tale of a Dalit Christian, Vavachan, popularly known as "Moustache." During an era when growing a moustche was forbidden for a Pulaya, he became infamous for owning one. Moustche"s story majorly takes place between 1939 and 1947, when Kerala had a castebased social stratification. Dalits are viewed as mere exchangeable goods and are otherwiseabsent in the tales produced by the upper caste. However, the folksongs and polyphony in Moustache consciously assert the existence of a multicultural society. The songs become strong political statements potent for social change.They foreground the Dalit community"s existence, mark their plight, and elevate their life by reclaiming their capacity. The article thus analyses the politics of employing folk polyphony, the concept of Mikhail Bakhtin, as a narrative device in exerting Dalit identity in the novel. The folksongs themselves have a polyphonic nature, along with the polyphonic structure of the novel. With the aid of folk polyphony, the Dalit characters, Vavachan, Seetha, Chella, and Pachuppilla, open up to diverse viewpoints, multiple possibilities, and contradicting positions. They compel the uncouth, savage, seductive Dalit representations to step aside while negotiating and renegotiating their existing Dalit identities. Amongst them, Vavachan transforms himself from a starving lower caste body to the larger-than-life immutable "Moustache." Through those narratives, he becomes a man of multiple identities-a Dalit, a saviour of poor people, a lover, a villain, a rapist, a trickster, and many more. Moustache unravels a Dalit traversing an elite casteist patriarchal delta space, exerting his agency and multiple identities through the folk polyphonic narrative that tides against the subordination of voices. It extends him as an open-ended tale-a living myth.

One of the reasons why human beings have a complex mind and psychology is that they have shared nature and the universe with other living species and natural elements from the very beginning. The elements of nature have had a deep impact on humans since the first human being. So much so that human beings accepted some natural elements and animal species that they could not understand as gods and performed various rituals in order to feel more secure. Various effects of living and non-living elements of nature on humans have undergone transformations and survived until today. Some rituals are practiced by today's people without knowing their origins. When we look at the origins of some such rituals, it turns out that they are the rituals of our ancestors who were afraid of nature because they did not know it thousands of years ago and were trying to make themselves safer. One of the areas where this reality reveals itself most is folk beliefs. Folk beliefs emerge as a result of efforts to give meaning to the unknown, the supernatural, nature and animals, which the first humans began to produce and continued by subsequent humans. Some of these beliefs become so influential in societies that they affect the shaping of the identity of societies, and societies begin to distinguish themselves from other societies through such beliefs and rituals. Folk beliefs mostly take shape around animals, plants, elements of nature, and celestial bodies. Similar beliefs exist among the Zaza people, just like other peoples. Folk beliefs, especially about animals, are widespread. Zaza authors also give importance to the issue of folk beliefs while writing their works and include these beliefs in their works. As a result, folk beliefs about animals such as snakes, birds, mountain goats, rabbits, bees, bears and wolves are included in the works. In this article, the folk beliefs about these animals are revealed based on modern stories.

The paper explores the numerous parallels between the design and proportions of the Kyafar mausoleum, as well as the Karachay-Balkar Nart epic, and ancient, primarily ancient Greek, art forms, going far beyond the image of the basilisk and a few parallels mentioned in the literature. Within the mausoleum, we have identified six such parallels, including various ancient proportions within the structure itself (11 proportions) and in its design (19 proportions). In particular, the composition of the façade of the mausoleum seems to depict Prince Örüzmek, his wife, his son and a dog, drawing references from the ancient Odysseus and his family, as confirmed by the parallels between the Nart and ancient epics involving these corresponding characters. In addition, there are 23 episodes in the Nart epic that have ancient parallels. The parallels found in both monuments emphasise the previously established link between the Alan mausoleum and the Karachay-Balkar Nart epic. They also point to a significant historical link between the cultural heritage of the Karachay-Balkar people and the ancient Greek world. Investigating the origins, nature and chronological limits of such a connection remains a task for future research. However, two preliminary possibilities can be suggested: direct ancient contacts, and the superficial infiltration of Christianity into Alan society, driven by the pagan-mystical nature of their beliefs, which influenced their perception of ancient Greek pagan motifs.

(Tabiî mektep-' kitapları ve çocuklar için yazılmış hikâyeler bu hükmün dışında kalır). İslâm kültür dünyasında ise vaziyet daha başka görünür 1. Ezop masalları diye tavsif edilen hikâyelerden ekserisinin az çok değiştiril miş şekillerine burada da rastlanır fakat bunlarda yunanlı hikayecinin adı geçmiyor. Türkiyede ancak avrupalılaşma hareketinin başlama sından yani XIX. asır ortalarından sonradır ki Ezop adı duyul maya başlar 3. İslâm memleketlerinde o kadar rağbet gören bu çeşit. 1 Kemal'in Selâtinnâm.:'s\nin edebî bir eser olarak tetkiki (bk. not 13) bil ma kalenin yazılmasına vesile olmuştur. Bu tarz hikâyelerin Osmanlı-Türk edebiyatındaki ehemmiyeti düşünülürse zamanla geçirdikleri muhteviyat ve şekil değişikliklerini takip etmek faydalı olsa gerektir. Burada neşrettiğimiz denemeye mevzu' olarak Selâtinnâme.-*de de bulunan Ağustosböceği ile Karınca hikâyesini seçtik. Bu makalede bir hikâyenin farklı versiyon ve çevirilerine dayanarak hikâyedeki ana karakterlerin her bir versiyon/çeviride nasıl değişip dönüştüğü ele alınmıştır. Bu amaçla, Evhad Çelebi hikâyesinin iki farklı versiyonu, Yahyâ Çelebi Hikâyesi ve bu hikâyenin iki farklı Fransızca çevirisi incelenmiştir. Makalede Yahyâ Çelebi Hikâyesi ve Evhad Çelebi hikâyesinin versiyonlarının ayrıntılı özetleri sunulmuş, ardından karşılaştırma amacıyla bu hikâyelerin erken modern İstanbul’unda zaman ve mekânı nasıl yansıttıkları örneklenmiştir. Ardından ise Yahyâ Çelebi ve Evhad Çelebi karakterlerinin her bir versiyonda nasıl değiştiği incelenmiştir. Hikâyede Yahyâ Çelebi, utanç ve hayret duygularını sıklıkla yaşar, mütereddittir, derununu okura açar. Evhad Çelebi’de ise tereddüt yerini tevekküle bırakır. Her durumda Allah’a sığınan Evhad Çelebi, karar vermekte zorlanmaz; tereddüt ya da utanç duymaz. Farklı versiyonlardaki kadın karakterlerdeki değişiklikler de dikkat çekicidir. Evhad Çelebi hikâyesinin versiyonlarındaki isimsiz cariye, Yahyâ Çelebi Hikâyesi’nde Meymûne’ye dönüşür. Ancak Evhad Çelebi hikâyelerinden biri, isimsiz cariyeyi hikâyeden çıkarılacak hissenin merkezine yerleştirir. Yahyâ Çelebi Hikâyesi’nin Fransızca çevirisinin matbu yeniden yazımı ise Meymûne’yi eyleme geçen ve gerektiğinde birini öldürebilen bir hikâye kahramanına dönüştürür. Tüm bu değişikliklere koşut olarak hikâyede Evhad/Yahyâ Çelebilerin anneleri de farklı özellikleriyle öne çıkmaktadır. Karakterlere odaklanan bu yakın okuma çalışması son olarak da on altıncı yüzyıl İstanbul’unda yaşamış gerçek bir kişi olan Evhad Çelebi’ye atıfta bulunmaktadır. Sonuçta ele alınan hikâyelerin farklı versiyon ve çevirilerindeki karakter temsillerini karşılaştıran bu çalışma, farklı versiyonların beraber okunması ile öne çıkan failliklerin ve toplumsal cinsiyet ilişkisi tezahürlerinin altını çizmektedir.

This study shows how the folkloric approach to the idea of hilarious judgement in the city of Sheki, Azerbaijan, functions in several domains by presenting examples from various eras and genres. Texts with humorous features are examined, as well as folktales from both the past and present, anecdotes, components and strategies that elicit laughter, and Internet humour, all without setting any broad parameters. Whether oral, written, or hybrid, humorous speech in folklore is interpreted according to the content and context of folklore interaction. Shaki's humour and jokes have psychological elements, but it is essentially an intellectual pastime; in other words, the ability to judge if something is humorous or not is the source of anecdotes. "Academic" does not equate to "intellectual". One can be "intellectual" and a humorist. Remembering that it is a perspective is the most important thing. The understanding of this humour is based on social conventions and the individual.

These motifs serve as the stories' primary structural components and guarantee the plot's progression. Depending on their substance, the stories' motifs can be divided into many
categories. The complex and varied motifs found in Indian stories from North America set them apart. The culture, values, and worldviews of the local tribes are reflected in these stories. Their themes and purposes are to uphold long-standing customs, encourage reverence for the natural
world, and pass on spiritual principles to future generations. A comparative study of these two folklores can offer valuable insights into human nature, cultural identity, and the power of storytelling. By examining the similarities and differences, we can gain a deeper appreciation for the diversity of human expression and the universal themes that connect us all. These two cultures' folklore has been influenced differently by their respective historical experiences. While

This research explores the phenomenon of polygamy among the Igbo people, focusing on its causes and effects within families. The study examines Igbo traditions concerning marriage, reasons why men take multiple wives, and the social and psychological impacts on women and children in polygamous households. Using the Igbo folktale Omalinze as a case study, the research highlights how cultural narratives reflect and reinforce these practices. Findings suggest that while polygamy was historically accepted as a means of ensuring lineage continuity and economic support, it often leads to family conflicts, emotional distress, and gender imbalances. The study calls for a re-evaluation of this practice in contemporary Igbo society.

Literature and human life are such interconnected pillars of the system of existence that despite being different from each other, they are complementary to each other's existence. Literature serves as a looking glass, reflecting the complexities, emotions, and experiences of human condition, while human life provides the raw material for literary expression. As Jo Walton observed, "If the purpose of literature is to illuminate human nature, the purpose of fantastic literature is to do that from a wider perspective. You can say different things about what it means to be human if you can contrast that to what it means to be a robot, or an alien, or an elf." A tanulmányok egyik egysége Petőfi verseinek keletkezési körülményeivel, illetve bizonyos szövegek hagyományozódásával foglalkozik, a másik fele pedig a Petőfi-emlékezet kultikus megközelítéseit dolgozza fel, elsősorban a vizuális ábrázolásokat vizsgálva. Az írások mindegyike többféle tudományos megközelítés metszéspontjában áll: az alapos filológiai feltárás és kontextuális elemzés, a szoros szöveg-és képolvasás, a társadalom-és mikrotörténetírás, a motívum-és recepciótörténet, a műfajtörténetés szöveghagyomány-vizsgálat, a médiumtörténet és képantropológia, a narratívaelemzés és folklorisztika, illetve az emlékezettörténet és kultuszkutatás egyszerre határozza meg az értelmezéseket. Úgy véljük, hogy ebben az interdiszciplináris térben adhatók releváns válaszok azokra az összetett kérdésekre, amelyeket a Petőfi-kutatás újabban, az emlékév teremtette figyelem fókuszában is megfogalmazott.

Folklore is important in many different ways, it tells us about who people are, where they come from, what they are connected to and what makes them unique. Toponymic orality and ballads play a crucial role in preserving cultural heritage, storytelling, and historical narratives. It is important to individuals so as to families, groups and communities in broadcasting their roots. Traditions, customs, stories, and special objects help us to feel connected to each other. Every culture is proud of some sort of folklore, in way or other. Monai Majhi a village in upper Assam of Jorhat district is proud of their ballads. What are you proud of? The village name Monai Majhi has got its historical toponymy. No one could provide any written evidences regarding the origin of the village but there is an oral history which the local and the outside inhabitants of the village firmly believe. This paper attempts to focus on the vitality of Toponymic orality and balladry significance of the communities which links up in moulding the culture of the village. Monai Majhi situated in the north-west region of the Bhogdoi river of Jorhat is famous for its unique ballads which have now transported into Bihu songs. The pious soil of Monai Majhi, in Jorhat living upto its tradition, may overcome the onslaught of time and keep glowing till eternity.

Literature is the expression of society. It may be poetry or prose; it talks about the present and past circumstances and public activities of a community. Folktales and local stories help preserve and pass down cultural and communal practices to future generations. Traditional stories can be a great source of information to trace past practices. So this study is conducted to identify different types of traditional communication media from popular folk stories of Southern Odisha. Content analysis of popular Folktales is conducted to identify traditional mediums and platforms. Communication Mediums do so many things, it carries, preserve support and induces the process of information exchange. It is the most significant element in the process of communication. People traditionally use traditional media for all kinds of communication. They acted as media for overall harmonic development in ancient India. Due to the extensive use of mass media and new media over time, there is a possibility that people may forget traditional practices of communication. So this research is an effort to identify, preserve, and provide a scope to use the forgotten traditional media. As they are more cost-effective, direct, and have the scope of two-way communication, these media and platforms can be used in different development communication practices.
