Aesthetic literacy and well-being within the context of poetic outputs presuppose that there may be new ways of epistemic construction or knowledge-building facilitated by and compatible with various transcendental phenomena which are specific to poetic manifestations of artistic authenticity and an array of varieties of other trans-personal experiences. Within this context, poetry emerges as a meta epistemic means of experiencing wisdom, spiritual-aesthetic wellbeing, imagination and insight associated with supra-rationally defined transcendental knowledge layers based on metacognition and related with artistic or aesthetic literacy intrinsically defined by nonlinear cognitive experiences, idiosyncratically experienced subjective observations in stark contrast to the world of realities based on mere experimentation and evidence, the world of visions, a multitude of objective phenomena related with and attainable by positivist cognitive experiences, deterministic materialist paradig...

Palabras clave Sexismo, misoginia, historia de la filosofía, filosofía moderna Abstract "The oxymoron problem" is the way Eileen O'Neill refers to the thesis that "woman philosopher is something barely possible and always unnatural" (36). In light of the oxymoron problem, this article has two main objectives. The first is to point out how 28

Walter Benjamin’s essay “The Task of the Translator,” the most widely cited twentieth century philosophical statement on translation, is commonly seen as one of the most opaque and misunderstood essays in the field. This paper uses a close reading of Benjamin’s doctoral thesis, “The Concept of Criticism in German Romanticism,” to throw light on his thoughts on translation. I argue that the German Romantics’ definition of art, and art’s relation to criticism, are crucial to understanding why Benjamin conceived of translation as an “afterlife” of the work of art, why he believed that translatability is an innate quality of the work of art, and why he speaks of translation as moving the work of art onto a higher plane. I read Benjamin’s own essay on translation as a sort of “criticism” which seeks to “translate” the philosophical ideals of the Romantics, and thus give them an afterlife, and then reflect upon the implications for translation studies today.

This article deals with the configuration of microtexts taking into account the rhetorical and cultural foundations of these texts. The textual brevity, the semantic intensity, the mass and density of referent and meaning, the semantic strength, and the tension in interpretation are constituent elements of the micro-texteme, that is a unit of system. The joint action of these elements results in a communicative pressure that is pragmatically and rhetorically based. Special attention is paid in the article to the role of aphoristic imprint in microtexts beyond aphorism, as well as to short short story (short tale) as a narrative sub-genre with a current great development and acceptance. The status of some microtexts in the textual cultural heritage is viewed as to its contribution to the rhetorical-cultural basis of micro-texteme.
KEYWORDS: brevity, communicative pressure, cultural rhetoric, micro-text, micro-texteme, semantic intensity.

This monograph presents a comprehensive analysis of Deuteronomy 21:10-25:4, demonstrating that this legal collection, which we call the "Beautiful Weave," was originally composed as a sophisticated 10×3 matrix containing over fifty laws. Building on recent scholarship that identifies similar woven structures in the Covenant Code (Exodus 22:17-23:19), this analysis reveals that the Torah's literary units were composed using a lost literary paradigm that was subsequently linearized through different editorial strategies. While the Covenant Code was deconstructed by reading across horizontal rows (weft threads), the Beautiful Weave was uniquely deconstructed by reading down vertical columns (warp threads). Of the Torah's eighty-six literary units, this column-wise linearization represents the only known example of purely vertical deconstruction. The discovery of varied linearization methods, combined with the intricate thematic and linguistic patterns that emerge only when the text is reconstructed in its original tabular form, provides compelling evidence for a sophisticated authorial tradition. The weave traces a progression from the most intimate human union to the most abstract principles of separation. The recovery of "literary weaving" as this ancient authorial paradigm, suggests we must fundamentally reconsider our approaches to the composition and interpretation of the Torah.

The first post-World War II generation of Soviet Russian writers was faced with a crisis of language even more pervasive and serious than the “Crisis of Symbolism ” at the beginning of the 20th century: the level of abstraction and formulaic speech used in public venues had become such that words and phrases could only gesture helplessly in the direction of mysterious meaning. Due to the traditional status of poetry in Russian culture and to various other factors explored in this dissertation, the generation of poets coming of age in the mid-1950s was in a unique position to spearhead a renewal of language. Among those who took up the challenge was a group of four friends in Leningrad: Dmitry Bobyshev, Joseph Brodsky, Anatoly Naiman, and Evgeny Rein. Because of the extreme position this group adopted regarding the use of language, I refer to them in this work not as “Akhmatova’s Orphans”—a term commonly applied to the quartet—but as literary “Avvakumites, ” a name Anna Akhmatova sug...

Prem Kumar Mani’s 'Akath Kahani' (The Untold Story) is a compelling socio-political autobiography that reminds us autobiography 'Nivedan ' by Dharmanand Kosambi as well as 'Mera Jiwan Sangharsh ' by Sahajanand Sarswati. 'The Untold Story' intertwines the personal narrative of the author with the collective struggles of marginalized communities in Bihar and India during the Nehru era, post-Nehru period, and beyond. A senior Hindi storyteller, thinker, and politician, Mani crafts a vivid account of his life from childhood to old age, reflecting on caste, class, and cultural dynamics while critiquing ideological contradictions in Marxism, Lohiaism, Gandhism, and Ambedkarism. Through a critical lens, he examines the dominance of upper castes in political movements, the complexities of social justice politics, and the violent caste-based power struggles in Bihar, including the rise of backward-class politics post-Mandal Commission. Mani’s narrative, marked by intellectual integrity and experiential wisdom, highlights the socio-political upheavals of his time, exposing feudal and communal obstacles to social justice. Drawing on his Kabirpanthi roots and influences from figures like Dr. Rammanohar Lohia and Bhikshu Jagdish Kashyap, the autobiography transcends personal recounting to voice the collective subconscious of oppressed communities, making it a significant sociological and literary document.
Marx said: " Force is the midwife of every old society pregnant with new one. " Our Indian society is in transition period in which a new socio-economic order is taking shape.. As such, we need wise political leaders like Mani to apply proportionate political power for the birth of a just society without major violence and destruction.

Indigenous Languages refer to the native languages that belong to a particular place. This research paper is an investigation into the role of Yorùbá language education in providing solutions to the moral vices affecting national development in Nigeria. There have been concerns in the past years over the decrease in values such as hard work, honesty, respect for the elders, communal responsibility, and integrity-all of these and more were a major part of our indigenous cultures. Drawing on sociolinguistic and cultural descriptive analysis, the paper is of the opinion that language is not only a means of communication but also a tangible tool for onward transmission of culture, preservation of positive values (ìwà ọmọlúàbí), and ethical reorientation. Content analysis of proverbs, folktales, songs, riddles and traditional pedagogies in Yorùbá was employed for the study and the study reveals that Yorùbá language education is an ambodiment of rich moral values that aligns with developmental goals of the nation. It concludes that to bridge the moralvices hindering national unity and development, stakeholders must elevate Yorùbá language education beyond symbolic recognition to a functional medium of instruction and subject of study across all levels and character formation, mose especially at the foundational level of education. Recommendations include implementation of the Nigerian language policy, curriculum reforms, teacher training and retraining , and policy commitment to indigenous language revitalization as part of a broader national development strategy.

This article offers a feminist re-reading of Robert Browning's "My Last Duchess," traditionally studied as a masterful dramatic monologue. Drawing on feminist theories by Toril Moi, Laura Mulvey, Sandra Gilbert and Susan Gubar, and Adrienne Rich, the study interrogates the patriarchal power structures embedded in the Duke's narrative. Through close textual analysis, the article reveals how the poem silences and objectifies the Duchess and frames her within a male gaze that reduces her to a visual and narrative possession. However, feminist theory allows for the reclamation of her agency by reading her silences as acts of quiet resistance. The study further reflects on the pedagogical value of feminist interpretations in re-centring marginalized voices in literary texts. It concludes by identifying directions for future research, including speculative feminist rewritings, intersectional readings, and classroom applications. Ultimately, the article calls for an ethical, inclusive engagement with canonical literature that challenges inherited hierarchies of voice and authority.

In response to the persistent dominance of poststructixralism/modernism in cultural studies, and through a sampling of scientific, religious, philosophical, psychological, journalistic, and literary discourses, this dissertation retrieves the concept of organicism and applies it to issues of female sexual reproduction in accordance with relatively marginal, gestalt linguistic and rhetorical approaches: the experientialism of Lakoff and Johnson and the socio-symbolism of Burke. While acknowledging that poststructuralist strategies can generally disrupt occidental ideals, it maintains that they are insufficient to evaluate claims about the maternal body, which has been exploited by not only phallocentric acts of naming but also deconstructive processes of reasoning. In revealing the Hmits of "postisi" strategies, this study begins with a linguistic rebuttal to one of the main organizing principles of both structuralism and poststructuralism: the division between (masculine) metaphor and (feminine) metonymy. It progressively shifts its emphasis to Burkian social analysis, which "thinks outside" the frame of bipolarity, to entertain notions of motive -of symbols of authority and salvational devices that apply to a wide range of cultural declarations about maternity. Challenging Cixous's claim that the mother is prescriptively passive and Haraway's assertion that the only alternative is "cyborgian," it proceeds with analyses of Beckett's Molloy and Russ's The Female Man, which figure the maternal in terms of natural (paganish/ organic/forceful) activity in contrast to Natural (Biblical/ Romantic/Freudian) passivity. In total, it speculates that postist thought, which is rooted in mascuiii linist models, overemphasizes -and thereby strengthens -the same sets of hierarchical binaries (e.g., metaphor/metonymy, culture/Nature) that it professedly challenges. This study aims to open a broader theoretical space from which to consider representations of woman. In so doing, it introduces the idea of a (super-) egoistically charged female, who is not essentially "feminine," fundamentally maternal, maternally divided, habitually prosthetic, nor comparably métonymie but is still firmly present as female. By insisting on both the genital sameness and the egoistic individuation of women, it encourages feminist rhetors to identify the figure of the mother as neither a whole vessel (as per Euroamerican patriarchy), nor a fractured vessel/subject (contemporary "correctives") but rather an egoistic agent. iv and her generosity in granting me numerous opportunities for intellectual growth. This paper uses cognitive linguistics to re-evaluate — for feminist theory — one of the main organizing principles of poststructuralism: the binary opposition between metonymy and metaphor. In so doing, it counters the poststructuralist assumption that metonymic readings are fundamentally liberatory while metaphoric ones are essentially oppressive. Relying chiefly on the experientialism of George Lakoff and Mark Johnson (1980, 1987, 1999), it maintains that both metonymy and metaphor are flexible constituents of an (Lakoff 1987: xiv) “ecological structure” of mind; accordingly, they appear in various combinations to support any number of rhetorical perspectives. Specifically, it explores the potential value of Lakoffian image-schemas to popular discussions of the maternal body — an apt site from which to consider the limits of poststructuralism and the possibilities for feminism of more holistic analyses. According to Todorov, the fantastic genre lasts as long as a certain hesitation between the uncanny and the marvellous, or, between laws of reality and new laws of nature, exists (41). In the reader, this hesitation manifests as an oscillation between fascination and an urge to comprehend. In Jan Alber's words, one has to accept that something inexplainable is happening, on the one hand, and try to apply real-life knowledge to make sense of it, on the other hand (56). Italo Calvino's novel, If on a Winter's Night a Traveler (henceforth IWNT), presents such hesitation in a more mundane way. Rather than having a character "shot in half, aloft in trees, or lacking in physical body," the work explores "the inners lives of the characters" (Carter 61-2; my emphasis). For IWNT, the futility in working out a rational philosophy to deal with reality, and the perpetual existence of mysteries and dangers, are embodied in distinct textual features rather than "imaginative details" (Carter 62). The novel is an example of Calvino's play with representations of reality via the structural complexity (Tinkler 62). Examining IWNT in terms of unnatural narratology helps us better understand its experimentation in form and effects on readers. According to unnatural narrative theories, the unnatural either denotes "physically, logically, or humanly impossible scenarios or events" (Alber 25), or refers to contraventions of the presuppositions of nonfictional narratives and the practices of realism (Richardson, Unnatural Narrative 3-5). Unnatural

Post-language demonstrates how the human mind, as part of nature, is subject to entropy and disorder, and how this chaos originates from language. On the other hand, it shows how the entropy of the mind leads the entirety of the mind and the human sciences towards chaos, and art and literature are no exception.

This thesis explores the intersection of ruin theory and science fiction literature, arguing that SF provides a uniquely generative framework for reimagining ruins not merely as decayed remnants of the past but as speculative infrastructures of future collapse, epistemic failure, and ontological erosion. Drawing on interdisciplinary foundations from art history, archaeology, and cultural theory-especially the works of Brian Dillon and John Trigg-this study interprets ruin as both aesthetic condition and narrative method. Through close readings of selected speculative texts, including Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer, Embassytown by China Miéville, and A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine, it identifies recurrent motifs of semiotic collapse, posthuman decay, and archival entropy. These literary ruins operate across linguistic, cognitive, and material registers, destabilizing both world and reader. The thesis positions science fiction as a privileged site for examining the politics of memory, the ethics of obsolescence, and the imagination of systemic failure. Ultimately, it proposes ruin not as mere thematic ornamentation but as a recursive epistemological structure-one that reveals the fragility of human systems while also pointing toward speculative forms of survival, refusal, and reconfiguration.

The Three-Language Formula (TLF) in India, introduced to promote national integration and linguistic harmony, remains a subject of ongoing debate and controversy. Initially envisioned to foster multilingual competence among Indian citizens, the formula is increasingly contested, especially by southern and northeastern states, who argue that the imposition of Hindi undermines regional linguistic identities and educational autonomy. This article revisits the TLF in the context of contemporary educational, political, and linguistic developments in India. It draws on recent statelevel demands for a two-language formula-mother tongue and English-as a more feasible and culturally sensitive approach. Through qualitative content analysis of policy documents, state government reports, and educational outcomes, this study examines whether the current multilingual model aligns with the evolving linguistic realities of India. Findings suggest that the TLF needs recalibration in favour of a bilingual model that prioritizes local language preservation while equipping learners for global competence. It concludes with policy suggestions aimed at balancing linguistic diversity, cultural preservation, and functional literacy.

The question that dominates modern literary theory is: What is the source of meaning? Does the meaning come from the life or intent of the author? Does the meaning reside only in the actual text itself, regardless of what the author meant to say? Or is the meaning created by the activity of the reader? The answer is that all three are necessary sources of meaning that work together to create the one unified, living whole work of art. In other words, literature exists within a trinitarian structure, and literary reading is best understood as the mirror image of the trinitarian creative theory articulated by Dorothy Sayers in her book, The Mind of the Maker, for both writing and reading are creative, meaning making activities. In this paper, I will argue that Dorothy Sayer’s trinitarian theory of creation implies a trinitarian theory of reading that draws together the critical insights of theorists from Plato to Derrida into one coherent whole that should guide the reading and teaching of literature. Understanding this trinitarian structure enables us to see where isolated literary approaches breakdown and how they can be drawn together to form a coherent, dynamic, practicable approach to literature. This trinitarian literary framework offers a Text-centered, Idea-focused, Power-sensitive pedagogy that helps us move further up and further into the divine source of meaning through the transcendent power of incarnational art.

Literature offers readers the opportunity to experience excitement, live through anxiety, and enjoy the thrills of experiences beyond their imaginations. "Dead Stars" is a timeless short story that gave birth to modern Philippine writing in English and is considered the finest in Philippine literature. The theme of love is one of the most used and abused, yet it remains the one that sells the most. This study analyzed the story "Dead Stars" due to its representation of literary trends, people, and culture of his own nation. It provided a relevant interpretation of the narrative using Post-Structuralist Analysis. The post-structuralism theory states that the interpretation of meaning in a text depends on a reader's personal concept of self, with the author's intended meaning secondary to the meaning perceived by the reader. The study uses qualitative design, particularly the post-structuralist approach, to analyze the narrative of "Dead Stars." It offers teachings that can be appreciated by students, young lovers, parents, spouses, and wives, dealing with people's core emotions, fundamental truths, and universal circumstances. In the short story "Dead Stars," Alfredo Salazar, the protagonist, is portrayed as vulnerable in love and trapped in a decision that could change his life. He is engaged to Esperanza but has feelings for Julia Salas, a relative of the judge. Despite societal rules, Alfredo chooses to marry Esperanza but ultimately finds himself infatuated with Julia. The story highlights the complexity of oppositions in a male-dominated society, where man is the founding principle and woman is the excluded opposite. The setting of the story, described by Paz Marquez Benitez, serves as a time machine for understanding courtship, marriage, and fidelity through early 1900 standards. It highlights the importance of considering the consequences of choices and settling for what one wants, especially in marriage. The story also highlights the importance of overcoming obstacles in life, such as man vs. circumstances, man vs. society, and man vs. himself. The interpretation of a story in the teaching of Filipino literature can lead to various contemporary implications, such as freedom in interpretation, expression of personal understanding, discovery of unexpected meaning, making arguments, enjoyment, and gaining honor.

August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom is a theatrical masterpiece that not only captures the essence of the jazz era but also delves into the complexities of the African American experience, including the role of religion. Religion serves as a nuanced backdrop that adds depth to the characters and their experiences. This paper delves into how religion is portrayed in the play, particularly in the context of spirituality and music, and how it influences the characters and their worldviews. By analysing the spiritual power of music, the contrasting perspectives of Levee and Jeremy on religion, and the subtle religious symbolism, this paper sheds light on the intersection of spirituality and artistry in the lives of Black musicians in 1920s Chicago.

This paper discusses the “Language Use” pattern of ISL by the deaf community. This paper aims to understand the vitality of sign language within the community and to foresee whether ISL is likely to be maintained in coming future. As proposed by Boehm (1997:67), “The choices people make in regard to language use reflect trend towards either language maintenance and language shift. To some extent, this reveals the vitality of the language. Fase et al. (1992:6) says that, “It has been commonly found that when the mother tongue of the minority language remains dominant in communication within the ethnic group, it can be said that mother tongue has been maintained.” This survey also deals with the major issue faced by the deaf community in this speech dominant society, which is huge “communication gap” with the majority speaking people of our society.

This paper explores the evolving landscape of English Language Teaching (ELT) in rural India, emphasizing the critical need for proficiency in English as a means of social and economic advancement. With rural areas contributing significantly less to the GDP despite their large population, enhancing English literacy is essential for human development. The papertraces the historical roots of ELT methodologies, from the Grammar-Translation Method to contemporary approaches like Communicative Language Teaching and task-based learning. It highlights the transformative potential of integrating modern technology, including e-learning platforms and digital tools, to create engaging and inclusive educational experiences. The significance of cultural relevance in teaching through literature and community engagement is also discussed. The research aims to provide educators, policymakers, and scholars with insights into effective strategies for fostering communicative competence in students. Ultimately, the study advocates for a holistic approach that prioritizes collaboration, lifelong learning, and cultural sensitivity inELT, aiming to equip learners with the language skills necessary for navigating a globalized world while fostering mutual respect and understanding.

This paper explores the relationships between place, identity, and healing in Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa and My Name is Cinnamon by Vikas Prakash Joshi. Despite their different cultures, the protagonists of both books are introverted and use peaceful spatial exploration to reestablish their identities. Takako finds comfort in a used bookstore, while Roshan investigates the background of his adoption and the meaning of his namesake spice. This study illustrates how these texts depict self-discovery as a slow process entwined with place, where physical environments and selected familial ties work together to promote healing, using frameworks from postcolonial theory, human geography, and narrative medicine. In contrast to the frequently sensationalist inclinations of contemporary literature, the novels emphasize gentleness as an aesthetic and ethical approach rather than dramatic trauma. They both emphasize isolation, sensory detail, and gradual development, which reveals a universal truth: healing begins in the tiny, hallowed places we make for ourselves.
