Abstract: Patent of Laricifomes officinalis strains exclusively fruiting on Larix occidentalis trees and sampled/cloned above 3000ft(914.4meters) awarded to patent creator Drew Henderson for Discovery of antiviral obliteration capabilities of the aforementioned, elevation contingent(3000ft. and above) fungi, Laricifomes officinalis against a long list of human brain disorders, central nervous system disorders, respiratory illnesses, bacterial pathogens and, furthermore, implications into household antibacterial alternatives(anti fungal sprays and creams(for foot odor, deodorant), even textile styrofoam and fiber board alternative uses. Of course, many former patents for similar fungi have been published in the past(none have been contingent on the

elevation of fungal sporophore alalysis, which has much higher and broader spectrum of benefits). The specificity of this patent lends itself to the discovery of multiple collections having significantly higher levels of all medicinally valuable constituents pre- discovered in Laricifomes officinalis specimens found below 3000ft.(914.4M) including “Agaricic, agaricolic and agaricinic acid, ergosterol; cetyl alcohol; ricinoleic, and dehydroburonic acids; agaricol; phytosterin; dehydromatricaria ester; octadien-(1,7)- diin-(3,5)-diol-(1,2)-carbonic acid-1; ergosta-4,6,8(14),22-tetraenon-(3), 5lanostane-type triterpenes called fomefficinic acids A-G; fomefficinols A-B; officinalic acid; fomalactone A-C; laricinolic acid; Beta glucans; triterpenoids; dehydrotrametelonic acid; and various gums, resins, and carbohydrates.”(Rogers, Robert. “The Fungal Pharmacy.” pg.156). These specimens I have personally monitored for approximately 10 years that have been cloned and ground into tea have brought patients suffering from final stage dementia to remember family members, new acquantences, regain fine motor abilities(and are anecdotally reported to be much more bitter in flavor by patients) than those beneficial specifics listed in previously published literature on lower elevation strains of Laricifomes officinalis. I have given multiple patients pills containing Laricifomes officinalis sold commercially by companies who have cloned only low elevation specimens; results from these products were insignificant and produced no change within one week of use in all patients. Specimens I have cloned and made tea with were given orally to willing patients and within one day were revealing noticeable changes in personality, motor ability, and coherence with all tests in said patients. Pneumonia patients recovered within two weeks of dosage given at daily rate(approximately 2g boiled in 8oz of H20. Grown in culture with Aspergillus niger- the strains all out competed and killed Aspergillus bacteria completely within one month. Sighted material, in addition to the culminating works of almost 40,000 hours of observations, 100s of catalogued images and research by Drew Henderson-resulted in this patent proposal. Special interests for these specific high elevation strains of Laricifomes officinalis containing higher levels of agaric acid content, sesquiterpene content and the implications with of those compounds with mental and cognitive ailments such as Autism, Aspergers, schizophrenia, ADHD and bipolar disorders(similar implications to Lithium, lamotrigine) are also implicated(various patients with dementia have shown marked cognitive functionality improvement within 1 month of daily use while drinking Laricifomes officinalis tea harvested from above 3000ft. (914.4meters)personal experience and observations). It is suggested that further research with stem cell growth be aided by this fungi as a minor food source, antibiotic and possible insurance against early childhood developmental disorders. This is
specifically, and significantly original from the first intentions of the species Fomitopsis officinalis(growing on Peudotsuga menzeisii) in previously created patents for that mentioned, very similar species. An important element to entire human toxin recidivism©(a term I’m loosely using with friends family and coworkers interested in sampleing life saving strains of fungi) and processing of viruses and disease were missed in inital testing with what was then called “Agarikon or Fomitopsis officinalis(vastly different fungal species, more related to the red belted polypore(Fomtiopsis pinicola, which is extremely common).” The name has recently been switched to a mono-phyletic genus and species of fungi(exclusively on Larix occidentalis-Laricifomes officinalis) which I have direct access to within 45 minutes of my home in Yakima, WA in three directions(HWY12,HWY410,I90). I have looked into and further researched these species at or above 3000ft for almost ten years of my life and have at least a doctoral understanding of cause and effect in the old growth forests of Washington. The glucan content, fungosterols, ergost-erols, Sesquiterpene, agaric acid, vitamin D content and potent antiviral, antimicrobial abilities of high elevation Fungal species increase at higher elevations and thinner atmospheres, most notably, and specifically from Laricifomes officinalis(based on anecdotal research, client bioassaying and personal use for 7 years). Think of this discovery as natures original cortico steroid/antibiotic/antiviral combo pack. It has long been known by multiple Eastern societies, and currently, physicians that shortness of breathe in high elevations is a sign of upper respiratory weakness.
