St Denys
St Denys has welcomed people for over 800 years. Our regular 10.00am Sunday morning service offers a warm welcome to all; the service on the first Sunday of every month (apart from January and August) is also BSL interpreted for our deaf community. We serve the community locally and beyond through our services, and baptisms, weddings and funerals, as well as social activities and offering support to people in need. St Denys is one of the York City Centre Churches, with the Churches of All Saints Pavement, St Helen, St Martin and St Olave.

Safeguarding
St Denys Parish Church Council is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact our PSO, Simon Baverstock: [email protected]. The Diocese of York’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, Rob Marshall, who advises our PSO: [email protected]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
