Adelaide United announces Macron partnership (original) (raw)
Adelaide United is delighted to announce Italian sports apparel manufacturer, Macron, as the Club’s new Official Technical Partner.
The four-season partnership will see Macron, one of Europe’s leading producers of active sportswear, design and manufacture United’s jerseys and training apparel commencing from the 2016/17 Hyundai A-League season.
Macron was founded in Bologna, Italy, in 1971 and made its mark on football world in 2001. Basing itself on its understanding of an athlete’s relationship with his/her apparel, Macron is aware of the importance of high quality materials and pieces of sportswear in achieving results at the highest level of professional sport.
United will join a number of other world-renowned football clubs to wear the Italian brand, including Italy’s Lazio; the Premier League’s Crystal Palace and Stoke City; Croatia’s Hajduk Split; and Greece’s PAOK.
Macron also focuses its products on the qualities and skills typical of Italian-made clothing, whilst mixing globalisation with tradition – a combination that has seen the brand become one of the most respected and fast-growing in world football.
Speaking on the partnership between the Reds and Macron, Adelaide United Chief Executive Officer, Grant Mayer, said: “The Club is ecstatic to have joined forces with an industry leader like Macron.
“Macron is expanding its reach in world football and is already the official kit supplier for a number of Europe’s most recognisable clubs.
“We believe this partnership will be beneficial for both organisations, and I am sure our boys will experience even more success in the coming seasons while wearing Macron.”
Macron’s Chief Executive Gianluca Pavanello added: “We are excited to partner with Adelaide United, and look forward to seeing the squad in their Macron kits as they enter the new season as Champions of Australia.
“United are proud club with a rich history, being one of the oldest clubs in the A-League, having competed in the old National Soccer League.
“We welcome the Reds into the Macron family and we wish head coach Guillermo Amor and the senior squad the very best for the upcoming campaign.”
