Downer EDI Ltd has chipped off another business unit, agreeing to sell its construction services arm Australian Transport Projects (ATP) to Malaysia’s Gamuda Berhad for $220 million.

The deal, announced in Malaysia on Wednesday night, would see Gamuda take control of ATP, its 1000 employees and $2 billion project pipeline, by June 30.
