David Lynch, 1946-2025
A singular filmmaker, painter, musician, singer, sound designer, photographer, and actor, Lynch was best known for writing and directing films such as Eraserhead (1977), Blue Velvet (1986), and Mulholland Drive (2001), which are often regarded by critics as among the best films of their respective decades, and for his mind-bending TV series Twin Peaks.

The film stars Katharine Ross as a woman who relocates with her husband and children from New York City to the Connecticut community of Stepford, where she comes to find that the women live lives of unwavering subservience to their husbands.
