During their short active life between 1958 and 1960 the original Everest Records Inc. recorded quite a bit of unlikely material including this Strauss operetta sung in English . There is rather alot of spoken dialogue for an edited piece lasting 44 minutes and It doesnt really help being able to understand the ridiculous lyrics . This kind of product ensured that Everest didnt last much longer than the hula hoop despite the great sound quality .
