I love this box set. After watching some of the episodes, I realize that they had some of the best comedic writers for this series, not to mention the actors' hilarious talents! Compared to what sit-coms we have to watch today, none even come close to Will & Grace. I am so glad that I purchased this set, and will enjoy it for years to come.

This is one my favorite series' of all time and I was thrilled to see it below the $80.00 range. As badly as I wanted this set, I went ahead and purchased without reading the reviews. Shortly after receiving the set, I put it in and started watching. As the disc loaded, it made this weird squeal/grinding sound for a few minutes before finally loading straight into the first episode. After the first episode ended it went right back to the screen as when the player was first turned on. Pressing play a second time, it repeated the actions it did when the disc was first inserted and after pressing menu, the main menu loaded and the rest of the episodes were there. After watching each episode, I had to press menu again before the credits ended to be able to view the remaining episodes. When it got the the final episode on disc 1, Boo! Humbug, halfway through the episode it froze during the scene with Harlin in Will's office and eventually worked out. When it got to the scene where Jack and Karen arrived at Will's apartment in costumes before heading to the downtown parade, as Grace was going to the door to let them in it froze again and couldn't get past it. I took the disc out several times and cleaned it but nothing worked.
I took the disc out and decided to try a disc from another season, I went to season 2 and put in the first disc, it loaded without the noise the previous disc made and went into the main menu. The first disc played fine so I loaded in another and when I got to the episode, To Serve and Disinfect, the freezing started during the scene where Will takes part in Jack's cater waiter business and couldn't work out of it. After trying a few more episodes and the same result, I tried another player and ended up with the same result as with the other player. I eventually gave up and decided to send it back for a refund.

Sad. Oh so very sad. I love this show, it is amazing, and when I saw this complete series box set on this website, I was sooo happy! It's so cute! It's a box! Haha. It's colorful, and reallllly nicely packaged (the only reason I gave it 2 stars) but when I put it in my DVD player and realized how much of it wouldn't work (be it episodes or special features) I was so upset. I already had a few of the seasons on DVD, and realized they had some glitches.. I figured they would have redone the discs for this box set, it wouldn't have the same problem, and id have the complete series! So when I had returned it (got a refund, they wont rip you off on that, thankfully)I was so upset. I also hated to see that there were so many customer reviews telling me not to buy this.. why I didnt scroll down and read customer reviews before hand, Ill never know. I also hate to see that this website, as well as others, are still selling it. IT DOESNT WORK. I say take it off store shelves, and take it off websites until they remake the discs to work properly, and rerelease this set. Sucks to.. I loved it.. even made room on my shelf = ( = P.

In between states and houses, we did not subscribe to cable for a month. Instead, we opted for our favorite show on DVD. We went everywhere to find the complete series of Will & Grace - no where to be found. Sure enough, we found it on Amazon and it has kept us and our friends entertained.

I bought the Will and Grace Complete Series as a Christmas presnet for my son, who travels 11 months a year. He has long bus rides going from city to city and this type of video entertainment makes long bus rides a little easier to take.

As many of the other reviewers have stated, there is a problem with this box set. I don't know if I was luckier than some: I bought these back in 2008, and I have seen through all of the episode. I only had issues with a single episode on the second disc of every season, and when I made a copy of the disc, the issue disappeared. This is obviously not a sustainable solution, especially for those who seem to be unable to play a single disc, but to me it was acceptable. (Unfortunately, when I approached Amazon about the issue, it had been too long for warranty or returns to be available.)
BUT the episodes were as great as I remembered them, and this box set contains a disc of bonus materials not previously released.
2018 update: I have since bought a new DVD/BR player, in which I have issues with more discs than before.

These DVDs seem to be pirated. Many of them do not have working menus. The subtitles are in Chinese. The sleeves have an odd smell, as if they'd been sitting in a noodle factory for a long time before seeing the light of day.

This comedy is bound to be classified as one of the most daring sitcoms to broadcast on a major national network during the horrid era of George W. Bush.
The storylines flow and play out stronger once you view them without commercial interruption. All characters are solid and well defined while the topics covered perfectly represent the era of the early and mid 2000s.
The presentation of this box set is simple and small yet convenient for home storage when compared to the Seinfeld or Friends box-sets.
Is it worth purchasing?
Yes - although one can still view episodes being aired daily on specialty networks, as is the case with Friends, one cannot truly appreciate the arch of this emmy award wining series until having viewed each season in the proper order (as one would with a film). Yes, you'll come to realize this series had a constant & on-going storyline that endured through its 8 years on NBC.
You should really view each episode back to back to truly enjoy the comedic genius of this timeless series.
The best reason for purchasing the complete series is: You will end up laughing all over again!

I was so excited for this to come as will and grace is my favourite show. The second disc is completely unplayable. I’m returning this because I spent way too much money on this for it to not work.

本国アメリカでもfanの怒りようは半端じゃないです。
