Focus on trainee opportunities - Occ Med 101 series
Trainees in occupational and environmental medicine are the future of our profession and we are pleased to offer discount membership to them as well as educational opportunities to complement their training.

Dust diseases / silicosis resources and support services
As of 1 July 2024, the manufacture, supply, processing and installation of engineered stone benchtops, panels and slabs has been banned in Australia. Click here to read the amendments to the model WHS Regulations that give effect to the ban.

NEW CPD Planning template
The new Medical Board CPD Registration Standard has now come into effect and requires the development of a professional development plan (PDP).
ANZSOM has collaborated with the RACP to provide a template customised for occupational medicine that will help you formulate your first PDP.
ANZSOM Awards 2024 - Nominations now open!
Nominations for the ANZSOM President's Award and ANZSOM Nurse Award, are now open. The awards recognise the outstanding contribution of ANZSOM members.
Nominations close on the 13 September 2024 and are accepted from peers or individual members can self nominate.

It Pays To Care
Through our Model of Collaboration with the RACP, ANZSOM is proud to support the advocacy efforts of the College and the Australasian Faulty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) in particular. A significant project is now underway aimed at improving the health and recovery outcomes for people who experience a work injury.
