The daughter of Lieutenant General Philip Henry Sheridan, she was born in 1876 and died in 1959. Apparently she never married and is buried with her parents in Section 2 of Arlington National Cemetery.

Her sisters, Louise and Irene Sheridan were twins. Born In Chicago, 7 May 1877 Louise died in November 1969 in Washington, D.C.

Daughter of Fames Civil War General Dies in Capital

WASHINGTON, May 23, 1959 – The eldest daughter of Philip H. Sheridan, Civil War General, died here yesterday.

She was 83-year-old Miss Mary Sheridan, who lived with two sisters in a home close to Sheridan Circle. The Circle is a Washington landmark named for her father, a hero of the Union Army.

A native of Chicago, Miss Sheridan moved to Washington with her family after her father retired.

During World War I, she headed the personnel division of the American Red Cross Canteen.
