Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin, Daniel Roth and Karol Mossakowski | ©Antoine Thiallier
English translation :
“Changes at the Grand Orgue de Saint-Sulpice
Mr. Daniel Roth, retiring, becomes titular emeritus of the Grand Orgue of Saint-Sulpice. He will continue to play once a month for the 10:00 a.m. audition and the 11:00 a.m. mass, as he wishes and for the joy of many parishioners and visitors of Saint-Sulpice.
Father Henri de La Hougue, the parish priest (Saint-Sulpice), has asked Mrs. Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin, who has been the assistant titular for many years, and who gives full satisfaction for this service, both artistically and liturgically, to become “co-titular” of the Great Organ.
At the same time, he wished that another “co-titular” be able to work in full harmony with her, and in coordination with Daniel Roth whom he replaces.
After consultations, Father Henri de La Hougue chose Mr. Karol Mossakowski, who was, until now, titular organist at the cathedral of Lille, for this position.”
