Georgia O’Keeffe

Join us for a session of guided improvisational movement inspired by American landscape painting and the work of Georgia O’Keeffe. In an attempt to turn our landscapes inside-out, we will work together to invent our own phrases of movement.

First, we will gather in the studio before moving into the museum to explore a variety of artistic landscapes. Then, we we’ll return to the studio to warm up before translating our discussion into dance through individual and collaborative exercises. Weather permitting, we will conclude our program overlooking Chicago’s skyline landscape on the Bluhm Family Terrace.

Please note that this program will not enter Georgia O’Keeffe: “My New Yorks.
