| Front: Hacienda San Jacinto (Historical monument and national memorial), Tipitapa, Managua, Nicaragua. Complex window with Aurora� effect as foliage of the Madro�o or Strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) as see-through feature. Back: Castle of the Immaculate Conception, R�o San Juan. Coat of arms of Nicaragua. Nicaraguan ornaments as guilloche patterns and rosettes. Shadow image: "1000". Security features: Consecutively running vertical black and red horizontal ascending serial numbers on the obverse of the banknote. Microprinting. Part of the guilloche rosettes, hi-lite block with the denomination and the bank monogram "1000 BCN", hexagonal image on the back with two "1000" around it and the horizontal red serial number fluoresce under ultraviolet light. Denominational see-through window with Spark live� (SPARK� Orbital™) window and ink with dynamic color change effect with a "shifting ring" in optically variable magnetic ink (OVMI).
