Proposals for 70 affordable homes in Guernsey approved (original) (raw)
Plans for 70 homes at Guernsey's former CI Tyres Yard site have been approved by the Committee for Housing and the Policy & Resources.
The Guernsey Housing Association (GHA) said the development, now officially named Court Falaise, represented a "significant step" towards bringing the former industrial site back into use for housing.
The approval meant the affordable housing project could move forward into construction after the completion of essential cliff stabilisation works earlier this year, project bosses said.
The GHA added the development had been designed to address identified needs for smaller affordable housing options, as set out in the States Strategic Housing Indicator.
